< Psalms 44 >

1 For the Chief Musician. By the sons of Korah. A contemplative psalm. We have heard with our ears, God; our fathers have told us what work you did in their days, in the days of old.
Nkunga bana ba babakala ba Kole kuidi pfumu minyimbidi. Beto tuwilu mu matu meto, a Nzambi madise meto batukamba mambu momo wuvanga mu bilumbu biawu; mu bilumbu bivioka
2 You drove out the nations with your hand, but you planted them. You afflicted the peoples, but you spread them abroad.
Mu koko kuaku, ngeyo wukuka makanda; ayi ngeyo wuvingisa madise meto; ngeyo wukosikisa batu ayi ngeyo wufunisa mase meto.
3 For they didn’t get the land in possession by their own sword, neither did their own arm save them; but your right hand, your arm, and the light of your face, because you were favorable to them.
Kadi sia ti mu diambu di sabala kiawu bazionina tsi; Voti kadi sia ti koko kuawu kuawu kuba natina ndungunu; koko kuaku ku lubakala, koko kuaku ayi kiezila ki zizi kiaku bila ngeyo wuba zola.
4 God, you are my King. Command victories for Jacob!
Ngeyo ntinu ama ayi Nzambi ama; ngeyo wuzenga ndungunu mu diambu di Yakobi.
5 Through you, we will push down our adversaries. Through your name, we will tread down those who rise up against us.
Mu diambu diaku, tuela vutula bambeni zieto ku mbusa. Mu diambu di dizina diaku, tuela diatikisa bobo beti kutulenda.
6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither will my sword save me.
Nditulanga ko diana diama mu mbasꞌama ayi sabala kiama kilendi ku ndatina ndungunu ko.
7 But you have saved us from our adversaries, and have shamed those who hate us.
Vayi ngeyo weti kutuvana ndungunu mu bambeni zieto; ngeyo wumfuisanga tsoni bobo bakutulendanga.
8 In God we have made our boast all day long. We will give thanks to your name forever. (Selah)
Mu Nzambi beto tueti kukiniemisanga mu lumbu kimvimba ayi tuela zitisa dizina diaku mu zithangu zioso.
9 But now you rejected us, and brought us to dishonor, and don’t go out with our armies.
Vayi buabu ngeyo wutuloza ayi wutukuludi; ngeyo wutotukanga diaka ko ayi nkangu eto wu masodi.
10 You make us turn back from the adversary. Those who hate us take plunder for themselves.
Ngeyo wutuvutula ku mbusa va ntuala bambeni zieto; ayi bobo beti kutulenda bazionini bima bieto.
11 You have made us like sheep for food, and have scattered us among the nations.
Ngeyo wutuyekula batudia banga mamemi. Wutusasikisa va khatitsika makanda.
12 You sell your people for nothing, and have gained nothing from their sale.
Ngeyo wusumbisa batu baku mu thalu yi phamba, wukadi kuba bakila ndandu bu wuba sumbisa.
13 You make us a reproach to our neighbors, a scoffing and a derision to those who are around us.
Ngeyo wutukitula kima ki tsoni kuidi bafikimini yeto, kisekununu ayi kitsevolo kuidi bawu batuzungididi.
14 You make us a byword among the nations, a shaking of the head among the peoples.
Ngeyo wutukitula zinongo va khatitsika makanda; batu balembo kutunikunina mintu miawu.
15 All day long my dishonor is before me, and shame covers my face,
Mvuezolo ama widi ku ntualꞌama mu lumbu kimvimba; ayi tsoni yilembo monika va zizi kiama;
16 at the taunt of one who reproaches and verbally abuses, because of the enemy and the avenger.
mu diambu di bifingu bi bobo balembo ndenzi ayi balembo mvuezi, mu diambu di mbeni, mutu wumvutulanga landi.
17 All this has come on us, yet we haven’t forgotten you. We haven’t been false to your covenant.
Mamoso momo matubuila vayi beto tusia kuzimbakana; Voti tusia ba luvunu mu Nguizani aku ko.
18 Our heart has not turned back, neither have our steps strayed from your path,
Mintima mieto misia baluka ko; Malu meto masia vengama ko mu nsolo aku,
19 though you have crushed us in the haunt of jackals, and covered us with the shadow of death.
vayi wutukosikisa ayi wutukitula suamunu ki memvo; ayi wutufuka ku tsi dibulu di tombi.
20 If we have forgotten the name of our God, or spread out our hands to a strange god,
Enati beto tuzimbakana dizina di Nzambi eto, voti tunonuna mioko mieto kuidi nzambi yi nzenza,
21 won’t God search this out? For he knows the secrets of the heart.
buna Nzambi kalendi bakula ko e? Bila niandi zebi mansueki ma ntima.
22 Yes, for your sake we are killed all day long. We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter.
Vayi mu diambu diaku tueti dengana lufua mu lumbu kimvimba, ayi balembo tumoni banga mamemi mafueti kuenda ku vondo.
23 Wake up! Why do you sleep, Lord? Arise! Don’t reject us forever.
Kotuka, a Yave! Bila mbi wulembo lekila e? Kotuka kuaku kadi tumbu ku tuyekula mvimba!
24 Why do you hide your face, and forget our affliction and our oppression?
Bila mbi wulembo suekila zizi kiaku e? Ayi bila mbi wulembo zimbikinina ziphasi zieto ayi yamusu kueto e?
25 For our soul is bowed down to the dust. Our body clings to the earth.
Tunatu ku mbungi-mbungi zinitu zieto zinama mu ntoto.
26 Rise up to help us. Redeem us for your loving kindness’ sake.
Telama, wutusadisa wutukula mu diambu di luzolo luaku lu ngolo.
