Psalms 148
1 Praise Yah! Praise Yahweh from the heavens! Praise him in the heights!
ALLELUIA. Lodate il Signore dal cielo; Lodatelo ne' [luoghi] altissimi.
2 Praise him, all his angels! Praise him, all his army!
Lodatelo [voi], suoi Angeli tutti. Lodatelo [voi], suoi eserciti.
3 Praise him, sun and moon! Praise him, all you shining stars!
Lodatelo, sole e luna; Lodatelo [voi], stelle lucenti tutte.
4 Praise him, you heavens of heavens, you waters that are above the heavens.
Lodatelo [voi], cieli de' cieli; E [voi], acque che [siete] di sopra al cielo.
5 Let them praise Yahweh’s name, for he commanded, and they were created.
[Tutte queste cose] lodino il nome del Signore; Perciocchè al suo comandamento furono create.
6 He has also established them forever and ever. He has made a decree which will not pass away.
Ed egli le ha stabilite per sempre [ed] in perpetuo; Egli ne ha fatto uno statuto, il qual non trapasserà giammai.
7 Praise Yahweh from the earth, you great sea creatures, and all depths,
Lodate il Signore della terra. Balene, ed abissi tutti;
8 lightning and hail, snow and clouds, stormy wind, fulfilling his word,
Fuoco, e gragnuola; neve, e vapore, [E] vento tempestoso ch'eseguisce la sua parola;
9 mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars,
Monti, e colli tutti; Alberi fruttiferi, e cedri tutti;
10 wild animals and all livestock, small creatures and flying birds,
Fiere, e bestie domestiche tutte; Rettili, ed uccelli alati;
11 kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all judges of the earth,
Re della terra, e popoli tutti; Principi, e rettori della terra tutti;
12 both young men and maidens, old men and children.
Giovani, ed anche vergini; Vecchi, e fanciulli;
13 Let them praise Yahweh’s name, for his name alone is exalted. His glory is above the earth and the heavens.
Lodino il Nome del Signore; Perciocchè il Nome di lui solo è innalzato; La sua maestà [è] sopra la terra, e [sopra] il cielo.
14 He has lifted up the horn of his people, the praise of all his saints, even of the children of Israel, a people near to him. Praise Yah!
Ed ha alzato un corno al suo popolo, Il che [è materia di] lode a tutti i suoi santi: A' figliuoli d'Israele, suo popolo prossimo. Alleluia.
