Psalms 145

1 A praise psalm by David. I will exalt you, my God, the King. I will praise your name forever and ever.

David's [Psalm of] praise. I will exalt thee, my God, my king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever.

2 Every day I will praise you. I will extol your name forever and ever.

Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

3 Great is Yahweh, and greatly to be praised! His greatness is unsearchable.

The Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; and there is no end to his greatness.

4 One generation will commend your works to another, and will declare your mighty acts.

Generation after generation shall praise thy works, and tell of thy power.

5 I will meditate on the glorious majesty of your honor, on your wondrous works.

And they shall speak of the glorious majesty of thy holiness, and recount thy wonders.

6 Men will speak of the might of your awesome acts. I will declare your greatness.

And they shall speak of the power of thy terrible [acts]; and recount thy greatness.

7 They will utter the memory of your great goodness, and will sing of your righteousness.

They shall utter the memory of the abundance of thy goodness, and shall exult in thy righteousness.

8 Yahweh is gracious, merciful, slow to anger, and of great loving kindness.

The Lord is compassionate, and merciful; long suffering, and abundant in mercy.

9 Yahweh is good to all. His tender mercies are over all his works.

The Lord is good to those that wait [on him]; and his compassions are over all his works.

10 All your works will give thanks to you, Yahweh. Your saints will extol you.

Let all thy works, O Lord, give thanks to thee; and let thy saints bless thee.

11 They will speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk about your power,

They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy dominion;

12 to make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, the glory of the majesty of his kingdom.

to make known to the sons of men thy power, and the glorious majesty of thy kingdom.

13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom. Your dominion endures throughout all generations. Yahweh is faithful in all his words, and loving in all his deeds.

Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion [endures] through all generations. The Lord is faithful in his words, and holy in all his works.

14 Yahweh upholds all who fall, and raises up all those who are bowed down.

The Lord supports all that are falling, and sets up all that are broken down.

15 The eyes of all wait for you. You give them their food in due season.

The eyes of all wait upon thee; and thou givest [them] their food in due season.

16 You open your hand, and satisfy the desire of every living thing.

Thou openest thine hands, and fillest every living thing with pleasure.

17 Yahweh is righteous in all his ways, and gracious in all his works.

The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

18 Yahweh is near to all those who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.

The Lord is near to all that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear him. He also will hear their cry, and will save them.

He will perform the desire of them that fear him: and he will hear their supplication, and save them.

20 Yahweh preserves all those who love him, but he will destroy all the wicked.

The Lord preserves all that love him: but all sinners he will utterly destroy.

21 My mouth will speak the praise of Yahweh. Let all flesh bless his holy name forever and ever.

My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
