Psalms 138

1 By David. I will give you thanks with my whole heart. Before the gods, I will sing praises to you.

De David. Quiero celebrarte, Yahvé, con todo mi corazón, porque oíste las palabras de mi boca; quiero cantarte delante de los reyes.

2 I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.

Me postraré ante tu santo Templo, y alabaré tu Nombre por tu misericordia y tu fidelidad; porque has engrandecido tu Palabra sobre todas las cosas.

3 In the day that I called, you answered me. You encouraged me with strength in my soul.

El día en que (te) invoqué Tú me oíste y multiplicaste la fuerza en mi alma.

4 All the kings of the earth will give you thanks, Yahweh, for they have heard the words of your mouth.

Te alabarán, Yahvé, todos los reyes de la tierra cuando hayan oído los oráculos de tu boca;

5 Yes, they will sing of the ways of Yahweh, for Yahweh’s glory is great!

y cantarán los caminos de Yahvé: “Grande es ciertamente la gloria de Yahvé.

6 For though Yahweh is high, yet he looks after the lowly; but he knows the proud from afar.

Sí, Yahvé, siendo excelso, pone los ojos en el humilde y mira como lejos de sí al soberbio.”

7 Though I walk in the middle of trouble, you will revive me. You will stretch out your hand against the wrath of my enemies. Your right hand will save me.

Cuando camino en medio de la tribulación, Tú conservas mi vida; tiendes tu mano contra la ira de mis enemigos, y tu diestra me salva.

8 Yahweh will fulfill that which concerns me. Your loving kindness, Yahweh, endures forever. Don’t forsake the works of your own hands.

Yahvé acabará para mí lo que ha comenzado. Yahvé, tu misericordia permanece eternamente; no abandones la obra de tus manos.
