Psalms 128

1 A Song of Ascents. Blessed is everyone who fears Yahweh, who walks in his ways.

En visa i högre choren. Säll är den som fruktar Herran, och på hans vägar går.

2 For you will eat the labor of your hands. You will be happy, and it will be well with you.

Du skall föda dig af dina händers arbete; säll äst du, och väl är dig.

3 Your wife will be as a fruitful vine in the innermost parts of your house, your children like olive shoots around your table.

Din hustru skall vara såsom ett fruktsamt vinträ, allt omkring i ditt hus; dine barn såsom oliveqvistar kringom ditt bord.

4 Behold, this is how the man who fears Yahweh is blessed.

Si, alltså varder välsignad den man, som Herran fruktar.

5 May Yahweh bless you out of Zion, and may you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.

Herren skall välsigna dig af Zion, att du skall få se Jerusalems välfärd, i alla dina lifsdagar;

6 Yes, may you see your children’s children. Peace be upon Israel.

Och skall få se din barnabarn; frid öfver Israel!
