Psalms 122

1 A Song of Ascents. By David. I was glad when they said to me, “Let’s go to Yahweh’s house!”

ദാവീദിന്റെ ആരോഹണഗീതം. “നമുക്കു യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലേക്കു പോകാം,” എന്ന് അവർ എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ ഞാൻ ആനന്ദിച്ചു.

2 Our feet are standing within your gates, Jerusalem!

ജെറുശലേമേ, ഞങ്ങളുടെ കാലുകൾ നിന്റെ കവാടങ്ങൾക്കുള്ളിൽ നിൽക്കുന്നു.

3 Jerusalem is built as a city that is compact together,

ഉറപ്പോടെ നിർമിക്കപ്പെട്ട ഒരു പട്ടണമാണ് ജെറുശലേം; അതു നല്ല സാന്ദ്രതയോടെ ചേർത്തിണക്കി പണിതിരിക്കുന്നു.

4 where the tribes go up, even Yah’s tribes, according to an ordinance for Israel, to give thanks to Yahweh’s name.

അവിടെ ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ കയറിച്ചെല്ലുന്നു— യഹോവയുടെ ഗോത്രങ്ങൾ— ഇസ്രായേലിനു നൽകിയ നിയമത്തിനനുസൃതമായി യഹോവയുടെ നാമത്തിനു സ്തോത്രം അർപ്പിക്കാൻതന്നെ.

5 For there are set thrones for judgment, the thrones of David’s house.

അവിടെ ന്യായപാലനത്തിന് സിംഹാസനങ്ങൾ സ്ഥാപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; ദാവീദുഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ സിംഹാസനങ്ങൾതന്നെ.

6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Those who love you will prosper.

ജെറുശലേമിന്റെ സമാധാനത്തിനായി പ്രാർഥിക്കുക: “ഈ പട്ടണത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർ സുരക്ഷിതരായിരിക്കട്ടെ.

7 Peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces.

നിന്റെ കോട്ടകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ സമാധാനവും അരമനകൾക്കുള്ളിൽ ഐശ്വര്യവും കുടികൊള്ളട്ടെ.”

8 For my brothers’ and companions’ sakes, I will now say, “Peace be within you.”

എന്റെ സഹോദരങ്ങൾക്കും സ്നേഹിതർക്കുംവേണ്ടി, “നിന്നിൽ സമാധാനം ഉണ്ടാകട്ടെ,” എന്നു ഞാൻ പറയും.

9 For the sake of the house of Yahweh our God, I will seek your good.

നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിനുവേണ്ടി ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അഭിവൃദ്ധി ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നു.
