Psalms 115
1 Not to us, Yahweh, not to us, but to your name give glory, for your loving kindness, and for your truth’s sake.
No a nosotros, Yahvé, no a nosotros, sino a tu Nombre da la gloria por tu misericordia y tu fidelidad.
2 Why should the nations say, “Where is their God, now?”
Por qué habrían de decir los gentiles: “¿Dónde está el Dios de estos?”
3 But our God is in the heavens. He does whatever he pleases.
El Dios nuestro está en el cielo; Él hace todo cuanto quiere.
4 Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.
Los ídolos de aquellos son plata y oro, hechura de mano de hombre:
5 They have mouths, but they don’t speak. They have eyes, but they don’t see.
tienen boca, pero no hablan; tienen ojos, mas no ven;
6 They have ears, but they don’t hear. They have noses, but they don’t smell.
tienen orejas y no oyen; tienen narices y no huelen;
7 They have hands, but they don’t feel. They have feet, but they don’t walk, neither do they speak through their throat.
tienen manos y no palpan, tienen pies y no andan; y de su garganta no sale voz.
8 Those who make them will be like them; yes, everyone who trusts in them.
Semejantes a ellos serán quienes los hacen, quienquiera confía en ellos.
9 Israel, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.
La casa de Israel confía en Yahvé; Él es su auxilio y su escudo.
10 House of Aaron, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.
La casa de Aarón confía en Yahvé; Él es su auxilio y su escudo.
11 You who fear Yahweh, trust in Yahweh! He is their help and their shield.
Los temerosos de Yahvé confían en Yahvé; Él es su auxilio y su escudo.
12 Yahweh remembers us. He will bless us. He will bless the house of Israel. He will bless the house of Aaron.
Yahvé se acuerda de nosotros y nos bendecirá: bendecirá a la casa de Israel, bendecirá a la casa de Aarón.
13 He will bless those who fear Yahweh, both small and great.
Bendecirá a los que temen a Yahvé, tanto a pequeños como a grandes.
14 May Yahweh increase you more and more, you and your children.
Yahvé os multiplicará a vosotros y a vuestros hijos.
15 Blessed are you by Yahweh, who made heaven and earth.
Sois benditos del Señor que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
16 The heavens are Yahweh’s heavens, but he has given the earth to the children of men.
El cielo es cielo de Yahvé; mas dio la tierra a los hijos de los hombres.
17 The dead don’t praise Yah, nor any who go down into silence,
Los muertos no alaban a Yahvé, ninguno de los que bajan al sepulcro.
18 but we will bless Yah, from this time forward and forever more. Praise Yah!
Nosotros, en cambio, bendecimos a Yah, desde ahora y para siempre.
