Mark 6
1 He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.
Und er gieng weg von da und kommt in seine Vaterstadt, und es folgen ihm seine Jünger.
2 When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?
Und da es Sabbat war, fieng er an zu lehren in der Synagoge; und die Vielen, die zuhörten, wurden betroffen und sagten: woher hat der das, und was ist das für eine Weisheit, die ihm verliehen ward? und das solche Wunder geschehen durch seine Hände?
3 Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” So they were offended at him.
Ist das nicht der Zimmermann, der Sohn der Maria und Bruder des Jakobus und Joses und Judas und Simon? und sind nicht seine Schwestern hier bei uns? Und sie stießen sich an ihm.
4 Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”
Und Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Ein Prophet ist nirgends unwert außer in seiner Vaterstadt und bei seinen Verwandten und in seinem Hause.
5 He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people and healed them.
Und er konnte daselbst kein Wunder thun, außer daß er einige Schwache durch Handauflegung heilte,
6 He marveled because of their unbelief. He went around the villages teaching.
und er wunderte sich über ihren Unglauben. Und er zog in den Dörfern rings umher und lehrte.
7 He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.
Und er ruft die Zwölf zu sich, und fieng an sie auszusenden zu zwei und zwei, und gab ihnen Vollmacht über die unreinen Geister,
8 He commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse,
und befahl ihnen: Sie sollten nichts mitnehmen auf den Weg außer einen Stock, kein Brod, keine Tasche, keine Münze in den Gürtel
9 but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics.
(doch mit Sandalen angethan) und nicht zwei Röcke sollten sie tragen.
10 He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.
Und er sagte zu ihnen: wo ihr in ein Haus eintretet, da bleibet, bis ihr von dort weiter zieht.
11 Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”
Und wo ein Ort euch nicht aufnimmt und man hört nicht auf euch, da gehet hinaus von dort, und schüttelt den Staub ab von euren Füßen, zum Zeugnis über sie.
12 They went out and preached that people should repent.
Und sie zogen aus, und verkündeten: man solle Buße thun,
13 They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick and healed them.
und trieben viele Dämonen aus, und salbten viele Gebrechliche mit Oel und heilten sie.
14 King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”
Und der König Herodes hörte es, denn sein Name wurde berühmt, und man sagte: Johannes der Täufer sei von den Toten auferweckt, darum wirken die Wunderkräfte in ihm.
15 But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”
Andere aber sagten: es sei Elias, andere: es sei ein Prophet wie einer von den Propheten.
16 But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”
Wie es aber Herodes hörte, sagte er: Johannes, den ich köpfen ließ, der ist auferweckt.
17 For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.
Denn Herodes hatte ausgesandt und den Johannes greifen lassen, und binden im Gefängnis wegen Herodias, der Frau seines Bruders Philippus, weil er sie genommen.
18 For John had said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”
Denn Johannes sagte zu Herodes, es steht dir nicht zu, deines Bruders Frau zu haben.
19 Herodias set herself against him and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,
Die Herodias aber trug es ihm nach und hätte ihn gerne getötet, und es gelang ihr nicht.
20 for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.
Denn Herodes fürchtete den Johannes, den er als gerechten und heiligen Mann kannte, und schützte ihn, und wenn er ihn hörte, ward er oft bedenklich, und hörte ihn doch gerne.
21 Then a convenient day came when Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.
Und da ein günstiger Tag kam, als Herodes an seinem Geburtsfest seinen Großen und den Obersten und dem Adel von Galiläa ein Mahl gab,
22 When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”
und die Tochter der Herodias eintrat und tanzte, gefiel es dem Herodes und seinen Gästen. Der König aber sagte dem Mädchen zu: verlange von mir, was du willst, so will ich dir's geben,
23 He swore to her, “Whatever you ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”
und er schwur es ihr zu: was du auch verlangst, will ich dir geben, bis zur Hälfte meines Reiches.
24 She went out and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”
Und sie gieng hinaus und sagte zu ihrer Mutter: was soll ich verlangen? sie aber sprach: den Kopf Johannes des Täufers.
25 She came in immediately with haste to the king and requested, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”
Und sie gieng alsbald eifrigst hinein zum König und bat: ich wünsche, daß du mir sogleich auf einer Schüssel den Kopf Johannes des Täufers geben lassest.
26 The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.
Und der König wurde sehr bekümmert, aber wegen der Eidschwüre und der Gäste mochte er sie nicht abweisen,
27 Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard and commanded to bring John’s head; and he went and beheaded him in the prison,
und alsbald sandte der König einen von der Leibwache und hieß seinen Kopf bringen. Und er gieng hin und köpfte ihn im Gefängnis,
28 and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.
und brachte seinen Kopf auf einer Schüssel, und gab ihn dem Mädchen, und das Mädchen gab ihn seiner Mutter.
29 When his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse and laid it in a tomb.
Und seine Jünger hörten es und kamen, und holten seinen Leichnam und setzen ihn bei in einem Grab.
30 The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.
Und die Apostel sammeln sich bei Jesus, und berichteten ihm alles, was sie gethan, und was sie gelehrt hatten,
31 He said to them, “Come away into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.
und er sagt zu ihnen: zieht euch zurück beiseit an einen einsamen Ort und ruht ein wenig aus. Denn es waren eine Menge Leute da, die kamen und giengen, und sie hatten nicht einmal Zeit zu essen.
32 They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.
Und sie giengen zu Schiff hin beiseit an einen einsamen Ort,
33 They saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.
und viele sahen sie hingehen und merkten es, und sie liefen von allen Städten aus zu Fuß dahin zusammen und kamen ihnen zuvor.
34 Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd; and he began to teach them many things.
Und als er herauskam, sah er eine große Menge, und hatte Mitleiden mit ihnen, denn sie waren wie Schafe, die keinen Hirten haben, und fieng an, sie vieles zu lehren.
35 When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.
Und wie es schon spät wurde, traten seine Jünger zu ihm und sagten: der Ort ist öde und es ist schon spät.
36 Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”
Entlasse sie, damit sie in die Höfe und Dörfer ringsum gehen und sich etwas zu essen kaufen.
37 But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread and give them something to eat?”
Er aber antwortete ihnen: gebt ihr ihnen zu essen; und sie sagen zu ihm: sollen wir hingehen und für zweihundert Denare Brot kaufen, und ihnen zu essen geben?
38 He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”
Er aber sagt zu ihnen: wie viele Brote habt ihr? gehet hin und sehet nach. Und nachdem sie sich unterrichtet, sagen sie: fünf, und zwei Fische.
39 He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.
Und er befahl ihnen, sich alle niederzusetzen tischweise auf dem grünen Rasen.
40 They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.
Und sie lagerten sich beetweise, zu hundert und zu fünfzig,
41 He took the five loaves and the two fish; and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.
und er nahm die fünf Brote und die zwei Fische, blickte auf zum Himmel, segnete und brach die Brote, und gab sie den Jüngern, sie ihnen vorzusetzen, auch die zwei Fische teilte er unter alle.
42 They all ate and were filled.
Und sie aßen alle und wurden satt,
43 They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.
und man hob an Brocken auf, zwölf Körbe voll, und von den Fischen,
44 Those who ate the loaves were five thousand men.
und es waren fünftausend Mann, die von den Broten gegessen hatten.
45 Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat and go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.
Und alsbald nötigte er seine Jünger, das Schiff zu besteigen und an das jenseitige Ufer gegen Bethsaida vorauszufahren, bis er die Menge entlasse.
46 After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.
Und er verabschiedete sie, und gieng hin auf den Berg zu beten.
47 When evening had come, the boat was in the middle of the sea, and he was alone on the land.
Und da es Abend geworden, war das Schiff mitten im See, und er selbst allein am Land.
48 Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea; and he would have passed by them,
Und da er sie auf der Fahrt bedrängt sah - denn der Wind war ihnen zuwider - kommt er um die vierte Nachtwache zu ihnen auf dem See wandelnd, und er wollte an ihnen vorbeigehen.
49 but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;
Sie aber, als sie ihn auf dem See wandeln sahen, meinten, es sei ein Gespenst, und schrien auf;
50 for they all saw him and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! Don’t be afraid.”
denn alle sahen ihn und waren bestürzt. Er aber redete alsbald mit ihnen und sagt zu ihnen, seid getrost, ich bin es, fürchtet euch nicht.
51 He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;
Und er stieg zu ihnen in das Schiff, und der Wind legte sich; und sie kamen ganz außer sich.
52 for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.
Denn sie waren nicht zur Einsicht gekommen über den Broten, sondern ihr Herz war verstockt.
53 When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret and moored to the shore.
Und sie fuhren hinüber ans Land und kamen nach Gennesaret und legen an.
54 When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,
Und da sie aus dem Schiff gestiegen, erkannten sie ihn alsbald
55 and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick on their mats to where they heard he was.
und liefen umher in der ganzen Gegend, und fiengen an, die ein Leiden hatten, auf den Bahren dahin zu tragen, wo sie hörten, daß er sei.
56 Wherever he entered—into villages, or into cities, or into the country—they laid the sick in the marketplaces and begged him that they might just touch the fringe of his garment; and as many as touched him were made well.
Und wo er in Dörfer oder Städte oder Höfe eintrat, da setzten sie die Kranken auf die Märkte, und baten ihn, daß sie nur die Quaste seines Kleides anrühren dürften, und wer von denselben daran rührte, wurde geheilt.
