Mark 2
1 When he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was at home.
১কয়েক দিন পরে যীশু আবার কফরনাহূমে চলে আসলে, সেখানকার মানুষেরা শুনতে পেল যে, তিনি ঘরে আছেন।
2 Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.
২আর এত লোক তাঁর কাছে জড়ো হলো যে, দরজার কাছেও আর জায়গা ছিল না। আর তিনি তাদের কাছে ঈশ্বরের বাক্য শিক্ষা দিতে লাগলেন।
3 Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him.
৩তখন চারজন লোক একজন পক্ষাঘাতী রোগীকে বয়ে তাঁর কাছে নিয়ে যাচ্ছিল।
4 When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
৪কিন্তু সেখানে ভিড় থাকায় তাঁর কাছে আসতে না পেরে, তিনি যেখানে দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলেন, সেই জায়গায় ছাদ খুলে ফেলে এবং ছিদ্র করে যে খাটে পক্ষাঘাতী রুগী শুয়েছিল সে খাটটাকে নামিয়ে দিল।
5 Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
৫তাদের বিশ্বাস দেখে যীশু সেই পক্ষাঘাতী রোগীকে বললেন, পুত্র, তোমার পাপ ক্ষমা করা হল।
6 But there were some of the scribes sitting there and reasoning in their hearts,
৬কিন্তু সেখানে কয়েকজন ধর্মশিক্ষকরা বসেছিলেন; তারা হৃদয়ে এই রকম তর্ক করতে লাগলেন,
7 “Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
৭এ মানুষটি এই রকম কথা কেন বলছে? এ যে ঈশ্বরনিন্দা করছে; সেই একজন, অর্থাৎ ঈশ্বর ছাড়া আর কে পাপ ক্ষমা করতে পারে?
8 Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?
৮তারা মনে মনে এই রকম চিন্তা করছে, এটা যীশু তখনই নিজ আত্মাতে বুঝতে পেরে তাদের বললেন, “তোমরা হৃদয়ে এমন চিন্তা কেন করছ?”
9 Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk’?
৯পক্ষাঘাতী রোগীক কোনটা বলা সহজ, তোমার পাপ ক্ষমা করা হল বলা, না ওঠ তোমার বিছানা তুলে হেঁটে বেড়াও বলা?
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—he said to the paralytic—
১০কিন্তু পৃথিবীতে পাপ ক্ষমা করতে মনুষ্যপুত্রের ক্ষমতা আছে, এটা যেন তোমরা জানতে পার, এই জন্য তিনি সেই পক্ষাঘাতী রোগীকে বললেন।
11 “I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.”
১১তোমাকে বলছি, ওঠ, তোমার মাদুর তুলে নিয়ে তোমার ঘরে যাও।
12 He arose, and immediately took up the mat and went out in front of them all, so that they were all amazed and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
১২তাতে সে উঠে দাঁড়াল ও সেই মুহূর্তে খাট তুলে নিয়ে সবার সামনে দিয়ে বাইরে চলে গেল; এতে সবাই খুব অবাক হল, আর এই বলে ঈশ্বরের গৌরব করতে লাগল যে, এরকম কখনও দেখেনি।
13 He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
১৩পরে তিনি আবার বের হয়ে সমুদ্রতীরে চলে গেলেন এবং সব লোক তাঁর কাছে উপস্থিত হলো, আর তিনি তাদের শিক্ষা দিতে লাগলেন।
14 As he passed by, he saw Levi the son of Alphaeus sitting at the tax office. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.
১৪পরে তিনি যেতে যেতে দেখলেন, আলফেয়ের ছেলে লেবী কর আদায় করবার জায়গায় বসে আছেন; তিনি তাঁকে বললেন, “আমার সঙ্গে এস,” তাতে তিনি উঠে তাঁর সঙ্গে চলে গেলেন।
15 He was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.
১৫পরে তিনি যখন তাঁর ঘরের মধ্যে খাবার খেতে বসলেন, আর অনেক কর আদায়কারী ও পাপী মানুষ যীশুর ও তাঁর শিষ্যদের সঙ্গে খাবার খেতে বসল; কারণ অনেক লোক যীশুর সঙ্গে সঙ্গে যাচ্ছিল।
16 The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
১৬কিন্তু তিনি পাপী ও কর আদায়কারীদের সঙ্গে খাবার খাচ্ছেন দেখে ফরীশীদের ধর্মশিক্ষকেরা তাঁর শিষ্যদের বললেন উনি কেন কর আদায়কারী ও পাপীদের সঙ্গে খাওয়া দাওয়া করেন?
17 When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
১৭যীশু তা শুনে তাদেরকে বললেন, সুস্থ লোকদের ডাক্তারের প্রয়োজন নেই, কিন্তু অসুস্থদের প্রয়োজন আছে; আমি ধার্ম্মিকদের নয়, কিন্তু পাপীদেরই ডাকতে এসেছি।
18 John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”
১৮আর যোহনের শিষ্যেরা ও ফরীশীরা উপবাস করছিল। তারা যীশুর কাছে এসে তাঁকে বলল, যোহনের শিষ্যেরা ও ফরীশীদের শিষ্যরা উপবাস করে, কিন্তু আপনার শিষ্যেরা উপবাস করে না, এর কারণ কি?
19 Jesus said to them, “Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can’t fast.
১৯যীশু তাদের বললেন, বর সঙ্গে থাকতে কি বরের সঙ্গে থাকা লোকেরা কি উপবাস করতে পারে? যতদিন তাদের সঙ্গে বর থাকে, ততদিন তারা উপবাস করতে পারে না।
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then they will fast in that day.
২০কিন্তু এমন দিন আসবে, যখন তাদের কাছ থেকে বরকে নিয়ে যাওয়া হবে; সেদিন তারা উপবাস করবে।
21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.
২১পুরনো কাপড়ে কেউ নতুন কাপড়ের তালী দেয় না, কারণ তার তালীতে কাপড় ছিঁড়ে যায় এবং ছেঁড়াটা আরও বড় হয়।
22 No one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine pours out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins.”
২২আর লোকে পুরাতন চামড়ার থলিতে নতুন আঙুরের রস রাখে না; রাখলে চামড়ার থলিগুলি ফেটে যায়, তাতে দ্রাক্ষারস পড়ে যায়, চামড়ার থলিগুলিও নষ্ট হয়; কিন্তু লোকে নূতন চামড়ার থলিতে টাটকা দ্রাক্ষারস রাখে।
23 He was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields; and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.
২৩আর যীশু বিশ্রামবারে শস্য ক্ষেতের মধ্য দিয়ে যাচ্ছিলেন এবং তাঁর শিষ্যেরা চলতে চলতে শীষ ছিঁড়ে খেতে লাগলেন।
24 The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”
২৪এতে ফরীশীরা তাঁকে বলল, দেখ, বিশ্রামবারে যা করা উচিত না তা ওরা কেন করছে?
25 He said to them, “Did you never read what David did when he had need and was hungry—he, and those who were with him?
২৫তিনি তাদের বললেন, দায়ূদ ও তাঁর সঙ্গীদের খিদে পেলে তিনি কি করেছিলেন, সেটা কি তোমরা পড়নি?
26 How he entered into God’s house at the time of Abiathar the high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”
২৬দায়ূদ অবিয়াথর মহাযাজকের দিন ঈশ্বরের ঘরের ভিতর ঢুকে যে, দর্শনরুটি যাজকরা ছাড়া আর অন্য কারও খাওয়া উচিত ছিল না, তাই তিনি খেয়েছিলেন এবং সঙ্গীদেরকেও দিয়েছিলেন।
27 He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
২৭তিনি তাদের আরও বললেন, “বিশ্রামবার মানুষের জন্যই সৃষ্টি হয়েছে, মানুষ বিশ্রামবারের জন্য না,”
28 Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
২৮সুতরাং মনুষ্যপুত্র বিশ্রামবারের কর্তা।
