Luke 7
1 After he had finished speaking in the hearing of the people, he entered into Capernaum.
A když vykonal všecka slova svá při přitomnosti lidu, všel do Kafarnaum.
2 A certain centurion’s servant, who was dear to him, was sick and at the point of death.
Setníka pak nějakého služebník nemocen jsa, k smrti se přibližoval, kteréhož on sobě mnoho vážil.
3 When he heard about Jesus, he sent to him elders of the Jews, asking him to come and save his servant.
I uslyšav o Ježíšovi, poslal k němu starší Židovské, prose ho, aby přišel a uzdravil služebníka jeho.
4 When they came to Jesus, they begged him earnestly, saying, “He is worthy for you to do this for him,
A oni přišedše k Ježíšovi, prosili ho snažně, řkouce: Hoden jest, abys mu to učinil.
5 for he loves our nation, and he built our synagogue for us.”
Nebo miluje národ náš, a školu on nám vystavěl.
6 Jesus went with them. When he was now not far from the house, the centurion sent friends to him, saying to him, “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I am not worthy for you to come under my roof.
Tedy Ježíš šel s nimi. A když již nedaleko byl od domu, poslal k němu ten setník přátely, řka jemu: Pane, nepřidávej sobě práce. (Nejsem zajisté hoden, abys všel pod střechu mou.
7 Therefore I didn’t even think myself worthy to come to you; but say the word, and my servant will be healed.
A protož jsem i sebe samého za nehodného položil, abych přišel k tobě.) Ale rci slovem, a budeť uzdraven služebník můj.
8 For I also am a man placed under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes; and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes; and to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.”
Nebo i já jsem člověk pod mocí postavený, maje pod sebou žoldnéře, a dím tomuto: Jdi, a jde, a jinému: Přiď, a přijde, a služebníku svému: Učiň toto, a učiní.
9 When Jesus heard these things, he marveled at him, and turned and said to the multitude who followed him, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith, no, not in Israel.”
Tedy uslyšav to Ježíš, podivil se jemu, a obrátiv se, řekl zástupu, kterýž za ním šel: Pravím vám, že ani v Izraeli nenalezl jsem tak veliké víry.
10 Those who were sent, returning to the house, found that the servant who had been sick was well.
Vrátivše se pak domů ti, kteříž posláni byli, nalezli služebníka, kterýž nemocen byl, zdravého.
11 Soon afterwards, he went to a city called Nain. Many of his disciples, along with a great multitude, went with him.
I stalo se potom, šel do města, kteréž slove Naim, a šli s ním učedlníci jeho mnozí a zástup veliký.
12 Now when he came near to the gate of the city, behold, one who was dead was carried out, the only born son of his mother, and she was a widow. Many people of the city were with her.
A když se přiblížil k bráně města, aj, mrtvý byl nesen ven, syn jediný matky své, a ta vdova byla, a zástup města mnohý s ní.
13 When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Don’t cry.”
Kteroužto uzřev Pán, milosrdenstvím hnut jest k ní, a řekl jí: Neplačiž.
14 He came near and touched the coffin, and the bearers stood still. He said, “Young man, I tell you, arise!”
A přistoupiv, dotekl se már. (Ti pak, kteříž nesli, zastavili se.) I řekl: Mládenče, toběť pravím, vstaň.
15 He who was dead sat up and began to speak. Then he gave him to his mother.
I posadil se ten mrtvý, a počal mluviti. I dal jej mateři jeho.
16 Fear took hold of all, and they glorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and, “God has visited his people!”
Tedy podjala všecky bázeň, i velebili Boha, řkouce: Prorok veliký povstal mezi námi, a Bůh navštívil lid svůj.
17 This report went out concerning him in the whole of Judea and in all the surrounding region.
I vyšla řeč ta o něm po všem Judstvu i po vší okolní krajině.
18 The disciples of John told him about all these things.
I zvěstovali Janovi učedlníci jeho o všech těchto věcech. A zavolav kterýchs dvou z učedlníků svých Jan,
19 John, calling to himself two of his disciples, sent them to Jesus, saying, “Are you the one who is coming, or should we look for another?”
Poslal k Ježíšovi, řka: Ty-li jsi ten, kterýž přijíti má, čili jiného čekati máme?
20 When the men had come to him, they said, “John the Baptizer has sent us to you, saying, ‘Are you he who comes, or should we look for another?’”
Přišedše pak k němu muži ti, řekli: Jan Křtitel poslal nás k tobě řka: Ty-li jsi ten, kterýž přijíti má, čili jiného čekati máme?
21 In that hour he cured many of diseases and plagues and evil spirits; and to many who were blind he gave sight.
A v touž hodinu mnohé uzdravil od neduhů, od nemocí a duchů zlých, a slepým mnohým zrak dal.
22 Jesus answered them, “Go and tell John the things which you have seen and heard: that the blind receive their sight, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.
Odpověděv pak Ježíš, řekl jim: Jdouce, povězte Janovi, co jste viděli a slyšeli, že slepí vidí, kulhaví chodí, malomocní očištění přijímají, hluší slyší, mrtví z mrtvých vstávají, chudým se zvěstuje evangelium.
23 Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.”
A blahoslavený jest, kdož by se na mně nezhoršil.
24 When John’s messengers had departed, he began to tell the multitudes about John, “What did you go out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken by the wind?
A když odešli poslové Janovi, počal praviti zástupům o Janovi: Co jste vyšli na poušť spatřovati? Třtinu-li, kteráž se větrem klátí?
25 But what did you go out to see? A man clothed in soft clothing? Behold, those who are gorgeously dressed and live delicately are in kings’ courts.
Aneb nač jste hleděti vyšli? Na člověka-li měkkým rouchem oděného? Aj, kteříž v rouše slavném a v rozkoši jsou, v domích královských jsou.
26 But what did you go out to see? A prophet? Yes, I tell you, and much more than a prophet.
Aneb co jste vyšli viděti? Proroka-li? Jistě pravím vám, i více nežli proroka.
27 This is he of whom it is written, ‘Behold, I send my messenger before your face, who will prepare your way before you.’
Tentoť jest, o kterémž jest psáno: Aj, já posílám anděla svého před tváří tvou, kterýž připraví cestu tvou před tebou.
28 “For I tell you, among those who are born of women there is not a greater prophet than John the Baptizer; yet he who is least in God’s Kingdom is greater than he.”
Nebo pravím vám, většího proroka mezi syny ženskými nad Jana Křtitele není žádného, ale kdož jest menší v království Božím, většíť jest nežli on.
29 When all the people and the tax collectors heard this, they declared God to be just, having been baptized with John’s baptism.
Tedy všecken lid slyše to i publikáni, velebili Boha, byvše pokřtěni křtem Janovým.
30 But the Pharisees and the lawyers rejected the counsel of God, not being baptized by him themselves.
Ale farizeové a zákonníci pohrdli radou Boží sami proti sobě, nebyvše pokřtěni od něho.
31 “To what then should I compare the people of this generation? What are they like?
I řekl Pán: Komu tedy přirovnám lidi pokolení tohoto, a čemu podobni jsou?
32 They are like children who sit in the marketplace and call to one another, saying, ‘We piped to you, and you didn’t dance. We mourned, and you didn’t weep.’
Podobni jsou dětem, kteříž na rynku sedí, a jedni na druhé volají, říkajíce: Pískali jsme vám, a neskákali jste; žalostně jsme naříkali vám, a neplakali jste.
33 For John the Baptizer came neither eating bread nor drinking wine, and you say, ‘He has a demon.’
Nebo přišel Jan Křtitel, ani chleba nejeda, ani nepije vína, a pravíte: Ďábelství má.
34 The Son of Man has come eating and drinking, and you say, ‘Behold, a glutton and a drunkard, a friend of tax collectors and sinners!’
Přišel Syn člověka, jeda a pije, a pravíte: Aj, člověk žráč a piján vína, přítel publikánů a hříšníků.
35 Wisdom is justified by all her children.”
Ale ospravedlněna jest moudrost ode všech synů svých.
36 One of the Pharisees invited him to eat with him. He entered into the Pharisee’s house and sat at the table.
Prosil ho pak jeden z farizeů, aby jedl s ním. Pročež všed do domu toho farizea, posadil se za stůl.
37 Behold, a woman in the city who was a sinner, when she knew that he was reclining in the Pharisee’s house, brought an alabaster jar of ointment.
A aj, žena v městě, kteráž byla hříšnice, zvěděvši, že by seděl za stolem v domě farizea, přinesla nádobu alabastrovou masti.
38 Standing behind at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears, and she wiped them with the hair of her head, kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.
A stojeci z zadu u noh jeho s pláčem, počala slzami smáčeti nohy jeho, a vlasy hlavy své vytírala, a líbala nohy jeho, a mastí mazala.
39 Now when the Pharisee who had invited him saw it, he said to himself, “This man, if he were a prophet, would have perceived who and what kind of woman this is who touches him, that she is a sinner.”
Uzřev pak to farizeus, kterýž ho byl pozval, řekl sám v sobě tak: Byť tento byl prorok, vědělť by, která a jaká jest to žena, kteráž se ho dotýká; nebo hříšnice jest.
40 Jesus answered him, “Simon, I have something to tell you.” He said, “Teacher, say on.”
I odpověděv Ježíš, dí jemu: Šimone, mámť něco povědíti. A on řekl: Mistře, pověz.
41 “A certain lender had two debtors. The one owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty.
Dva dlužníky měl nějaký věřitel. Jeden dlužen byl pět set peněz, a druhý padesát.
42 When they couldn’t pay, he forgave them both. Which of them therefore will love him most?”
A když neměli, odkud by zaplatili, odpustil oběma. Pověziž tedy, který z nich více bude jej milovati?
43 Simon answered, “He, I suppose, to whom he forgave the most.” He said to him, “You have judged correctly.”
I odpověděv Šimon, řekl: Mám za to, že ten, kterémuž více odpustil. A on řekl jemu: Právě jsi rozsoudil.
44 Turning to the woman, he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered into your house, and you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head.
A obrátiv se k ženě, řekl Šimonovi: Vidíš tuto ženu? Všel jsem do domu tvého, vody nohám mým nedal jsi, ale tato slzami smáčela nohy mé, a vlasy hlavy své vytřela.
45 You gave me no kiss, but she, since the time I came in, has not ceased to kiss my feet.
Nepolíbil jsi mne, ale tato, jakž jsem všel, nepřestala líbati noh mých.
46 You didn’t anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment.
Olejem hlavy mé nepomazal jsi, ale tato mastí mazala nohy mé.
47 Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But one to whom little is forgiven, loves little.”
Protož pravím tobě: Odpuštěniť jsou jí hříchové mnozí, neboť milovala mnoho. Komuť se pak málo odpouští, málo miluje.
48 He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”
I řekl jí: Odpuštěniť jsou tobě hříchové.
49 Those who sat at the table with him began to say to themselves, “Who is this who even forgives sins?”
Tedy počali, kteříž tu spolu seděli za stolem, říci sami mezi sebou: Kdo jest tento, kterýž i hříchy odpouští?
50 He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.”
I řekl ženě: Víra tvá tebe k spasení přivedla. Jdiž u pokoji.
