Luke 4
1 Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness
১যীশু পবিত্র আত্মায় পূর্ণ হয়ে, যর্দ্দন নদী থেকে ফিরে এলেন এবং চল্লিশ দিন পর্যন্ত সেই আত্মার আবেশে মরূপ্রান্তে পরিচালিত হলেন,
2 for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.
২আর সেদিন দিয়াবল দ্বারা পরীক্ষিত হলেন, সেই চল্লিশ দিন তিনি কিছুই আহার করেননি; পরে সেই চল্লিশ দিন শেষ হলে তাঁর খিদে পেল।
3 The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
৩তখন দিয়াবল তাঁকে বলল, “তুমি যদি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র হও, তবে এই পাথরটিকে বল, যেন এটা রুটি হয়ে যায়।”
4 Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’”
৪যীশু তাকে বললেন, “লেখা আছে, মানুষ কেবল রুটি তে বাঁচবে না।”
5 The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.
৫পরে দিয়াবল তাঁকে উপরে নিয়ে গেলেন এবং এক মুহূর্তের মধ্যে তাঁকে জগতের সমস্ত রাজ্য দেখাল।
6 The devil said to him, “I will give you all this authority and their glory, for it has been delivered to me, and I give it to whomever I want.
৬আর দিয়াবল তাঁকে বলল, “তোমাকে আমি এই সমস্ত রাজ্যর উপর কর্তৃত্ব ও এই সমস্ত ঐশ্বর্য্য দেব; কারণ এগুলোর উপর কর্তৃত্ব করার ক্ষমতা আমাকে দেওয়া হয়েছে, আর আমার যাকে ইচ্ছা তাকে দান করতে পারি;
7 If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours.”
৭অতএব এখন তুমি যদি আমার সামনে হাঁটু পেতে প্রণাম কর, তবে এ সমস্তই তোমার হবে।”
8 Jesus answered him, “Get behind me, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’”
৮যীশু এর উত্তরে তাকে বললেন, “লেখা আছে, তোমার ঈশ্বর প্রভুকেই প্রণাম করবে, কেবল তাঁরই আরাধনা করবে।”
9 He led him to Jerusalem and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,
৯আর সে তাঁকে যিরুশালেমে নিয়ে গেল ও ঈশ্বরের গৃহের চূড়ার উপরে দাঁড় করাল এবং তাঁকে বলল, “তুমি যদি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র হও, তবে এখান থেকে নীচে লাফিয়ে পড়;
10 for it is written, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;’
১০কারণ লেখা আছে, তিনি নিজের দূতদের তোমার জন্য আদেশ দেবেন, যেন তাঁরা তোমাকে রক্ষা করেন;
11 and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.’”
১১আর, তোমাকে হাতে করে তুলে নেবেন, পাছে তোমার চরণে পাথরের আঘাত লাগে।”
12 Jesus answering, said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’”
১২যীশু এর উত্তরে বললেন, এটাও লেখা আছে, “তুমি তোমার ঈশ্বর প্রভুর পরীক্ষা করনা।”
13 When the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until another time.
১৩আর সমস্ত পরীক্ষার পর শয়তান সুবিধাজনক দিনের অপেক্ষার জন্য কিছুদিনের র জন্য তাঁর কাছ থেকে চলে গেল।
14 Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area.
১৪তখন যীশু আত্মার পরাক্রমে গালীলে ফিরে গেলেন এবং তাঁর কীর্তি সমস্ত অঞ্চলের চারিদিকে ছড়িয়ে পড়ল।
15 He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.
১৫আর তিনি তাদের সমাজঘরে উপদেশ দিলেন এবং সবাই তাঁর খুবই মহিমা করতে লাগল।
16 He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
১৬আর তিনি যেখানে বড় হয়েছিলেন, সেই নাসরতে উপস্থিত হলেন এবং তিনি নিজের রীতি অনুসারে বিশ্রামবারে সমাজঘরে প্রবেশ করলেন ও শাস্ত্র পাঠ করতে দাঁড়ালেন।
17 The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,
১৭তখন যিশাইয় ভাববাদীর পুস্তক তাঁর হাতে দেওয়া হল, আর পুস্তকটি খুলে তিনি সেই অংশটি পেলেন, যেখানে লেখা আছে,
18 “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the broken hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,
১৮“প্রভুর আত্মা আমার উপর আছেন, কারণ তিনি আমাকে অভিষিক্ত করেছেন, দরিদ্রের কাছে সুসমাচার প্রচার করার জন্য; তিনি আমাকে পাঠিয়েছেন, বন্দিদের কাছে মুক্তি প্রচার করার জন্য, অন্ধদের কাছে দৃষ্টি দানের প্রচার করার জন্য, নির্যাতিতদের উদ্ধার করার জন্য,
19 and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
১৯প্রভুর অনুগ্রহের বছর ঘোষণা করার জন্য।”
20 He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
২০পরে তিনি পুস্তকটিকে বন্ধ করে পরিচারকের হাতে দিলেন এবং বসলেন। তাতে সমাজঘরের সবাই একভাবে তাঁর দিকে তাকিয়ে থাকল।
21 He began to tell them, “Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”
২১আর তিনি তাদের বললেন, “আজই শাস্ত্রের এই বাণী তোমাদের শোনার মাধ্যমে পূর্ণ হল।”
22 All testified about him and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth; and they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”
২২তাতে সবাই তাঁর বিষয়ে সাক্ষ্য দিল ও তাঁর মুখের সুন্দর করুণাবিষ্ট কথায় তারা আশ্চর্য্য হল, আর বলল, “এ তো যোষেফের ছেলে, তাই না কি?”
23 He said to them, “Doubtless you will tell me this proverb, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.’”
২৩যীশু তাদের বললেন, “তোমরা আমাকে অবশ্যই এই প্রবাদবাক্য বলবে, ডাক্তার আগে নিজেকে সুস্থ কর; কফরনাহূমে তুমি যা যা করেছ আমরা শুনেছি, সে সব এখানে নিজের দেশেও কর।”
24 He said, “Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.
২৪তিনি আরও বললেন, “আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, কোনও ভাববাদী তাঁর নিজের দেশে গ্রহণযোগ্য হয় না।”
25 But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.
২৫আর আমি তোমাদের সত্যি বলছি, এলিয়ের দিন যখন তিন বছর ছয় মাস পর্যন্ত বৃষ্টি হয়নি ও সারা দেশে কঠিন দূর্ভিক্ষ হয়েছিল, তখন ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে অনেক বিধবা ছিল;
26 Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.
২৬কিন্তু এলিয়কে তাদের কারও কাছে পাঠানো হয়নি, কেবল সীদোন দেশের সারিফতে এক বিধবা মহিলার কাছে পাঠানো হয়েছিল।
27 There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian.”
২৭আর ইলীশায় ভাববাদীর দিনের ইস্রায়েলের মধ্যে অনেকে কুষ্ঠরোগী ছিল, কিন্তু তাদের কেউই শুচি হয়নি, কেবল সুরীয় দেশের নামান হয়েছিল।
28 They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue as they heard these things.
২৮এই কথা শুনে সমাজঘরের লোকেরা সবাই রাগে পূর্ণ হল;
29 They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.
২৯আর তারা উঠে তাঁকে শহরের বাইরে ঠেলতে ঠেলতে নিয়ে চলল এবং যে পর্বতে তাদের শহর তৈরি হয়েছিল, তার শেষ প্রান্তে নিয়ে গেল, যেন তাঁকে নীচে ফেলে দিতে পারে।
30 But he, passing through the middle of them, went his way.
৩০কিন্তু তিনি তাদের মধ্য দিয়ে হেঁটে চলে গেলেন।
31 He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,
৩১পরে তিনি গালীলের কফরনাহূম শহরে নেমে গেলেন। আর তিনি বিশ্রামবারে লোকদের উপদেশ দিতে লাগলেন;
32 and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.
৩২এবং লোকরা তাঁর শিক্ষায় চমৎকৃত হল; কারণ তিনি ক্ষমতার সঙ্গে কথা বলতেন।
33 In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon; and he cried out with a loud voice,
৩৩তখন ঐ সমাজঘরে এক ব্যক্তি ছিল, তাকে ভূত ও মন্দ আত্মায় ধরেছিল;
34 saying, “Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are: the Holy One of God!”
৩৪সে চিত্কার করে চেঁচিয়ে বলল, “হে নাসরতীয় যীশু, আপনার সঙ্গে আমাদের সম্পর্ক কি? আপনি কি আমাদেরকে বিনাশ করতে এসেছেন? আমি জানি, আপনি কে, ঈশ্বরের সেই পবিত্র ব্যক্তি।”
35 Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent and come out of him!” When the demon had thrown him down in the middle of them, he came out of him, having done him no harm.
৩৫তখন যীশু তাকে ধমকিয়ে বললেন, “চুপ কর এবং এর মধ্যে থেকে বেরিয়ে যাও,” তখন সেই ভূত তাকে সবার মাঝখানে ফেলে দিয়ে তার মধ্যে দিয়ে বের হয়ে গেল, তার কোনও ক্ষতি করল না।
36 Amazement came on all and they spoke together, one with another, saying, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”
৩৬তখন সবাই খুবই আশ্চর্য্য হল এবং নিজেদের মধ্যে আলোচনা করতে লাগল, এ কেমন কথা? ইনি ক্ষমতায় ও পরাক্রমে মন্দ আত্মাদের আদেশ করেন, আর তারা বের হয়ে যায়।
37 News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.
৩৭আর আশেপাশের অঞ্চলের সব জায়গায় তাঁর কীর্তি ছড়িয়ে পড়ল।
38 He rose up from the synagogue and entered into Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was afflicted with a great fever, and they begged him to help her.
৩৮পরে তিনি সমাজঘর থেকে বের হয়ে শিমোনের বাড়িতে প্রবেশ করলেন; তখন শিমোনের শাশুড়ীর ভীষণ জ্বরে কষ্ট পাচ্ছিলেন, তাই তাঁরা তাঁর সুস্থতার জন্য যীশুকে অনুরোধ করলেন।
39 He stood over her and rebuked the fever, and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.
৩৯তখন তিনি তাঁর কাছে দাঁড়িয়ে জ্বরকে ধমক দিলেন, তাতে তাঁর জ্বর ছেড়ে গেল; আর তিনি সঙ্গে সঙ্গে উঠে তাদের সেবাযত্ন করতে লাগলেন।
40 When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.
৪০পরে সূর্য্য অস্ত যাবার দিনের, বিভিন্ন রোগে অসুস্থ রুগীদের লোকেরা, তাঁর কাছে আনল; আর তিনি প্রত্যেক জনের উপরে হাত রেখে তাদের সুস্থ করলেন।
41 Demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Rebuking them, he didn’t allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.
৪১আর অনেক লোকের মধ্যে থেকে ভূত বের হল, ভূতেরা চীৎকার করে বলল, “আপনি ঈশ্বরের পুত্র,” কিন্তু তিনি তাদের ধমক দিয়ে কথা বলতে দিলেন না, কারণ ভূতেরা জানত যে তিনিই সেই খ্রীষ্ট।
42 When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place and the multitudes looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he wouldn’t go away from them.
৪২পরে সকাল হলে তিনি সেই জায়গা থেকে একটি নির্জন জায়গায় চলে গেলেন; আর লোকেরা তাঁর খোঁজ করল এবং তাঁর কাছে এসে তাঁকে বারণ করল, যেন তিনি তাদের কাছ থেকে চলে না যান।
43 But he said to them, “I must preach the good news of God’s Kingdom to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent.”
৪৩কিন্তু তিনি তাদের বললেন, “আরও অনেক শহরে আমাকে ঈশ্বরের রাজ্যের সুসমাচার প্রচার করতে হবে; কারণ সেইজন্য আমাকে পাঠানো হয়েছে।”
44 He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.
৪৪পরে তিনি যিহুদিয়ার বিভিন্ন সমাজঘরে প্রচার করতে লাগলেন।
