Luke 22
1 Now the feast of unleavened bread, which is called the Passover, was approaching.
౧పొంగని రొట్టెల పండగ అని పిలిచే పస్కా దగ్గర పడింది.
2 The chief priests and the scribes sought how they might put him to death, for they feared the people.
౨ప్రధాన యాజకులూ ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులూ యేసును ఎలా చంపించాలా అని ఆలోచిస్తున్నారు. అయితే వారు ప్రజలకి భయపడుతున్నారు.
3 Satan entered into Judas, who was also called Iscariot, who was counted with the twelve.
౩అప్పుడు పన్నెండు మంది శిష్యుల్లో ఒకడైన ఇస్కరియోతు యూదాలో సాతాను ప్రవేశించాడు.
4 He went away and talked with the chief priests and captains about how he might deliver him to them.
౪దాంతో యూదా వెళ్ళి ఆయనను ఎలా పట్టివ్వాలనే విషయమై ప్రధాన యాజకులతో, అధికారులతో మాట్లాడాడు.
5 They were glad, and agreed to give him money.
౫దానికి వారు సంతోషించారు. అతనికి డబ్బివ్వడానికి అంగీకరించారు.
6 He consented and sought an opportunity to deliver him to them in the absence of the multitude.
౬అతడు దానికి అంగీకరించి జనసందోహం లేనప్పుడు ఆయనను వారికి అప్పగించడానికి అనువైన సమయం కోసం చూస్తున్నాడు.
7 The day of unleavened bread came, on which the Passover must be sacrificed.
౭పొంగని రొట్టెల పండగ సందర్భంగా పస్కా పశువును వధించాల్సిన రోజు వచ్చింది.
8 Jesus sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.”
౮యేసు పేతురు యోహానులతో, “మీరు వెళ్ళి మనం భోజనం చేయడానికి పస్కాను సిద్ధం చేయండి” అన్నాడు.
9 They said to him, “Where do you want us to prepare?”
౯వారు, “మేము దాన్ని ఎక్కడ సిద్ధం చేయాలి?” అని అడిగారు.
10 He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered into the city, a man carrying a pitcher of water will meet you. Follow him into the house which he enters.
౧౦ఆయన, “మీరు ఊరిలో ప్రవేశిస్తున్నప్పుడు నీళ్లకుండ మోసుకుంటూ ఒక వ్యక్తి మీకు ఎదురు వస్తాడు. అతని వెనకే అతని ఇంటివరకూ వెళ్ళండి.
11 Tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, “Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?”’
౧౧మా గురువు, ‘నేను నా శిష్యులతో కలసి పస్కా భోజనం తినడానికి విశ్రాంతి గది ఎక్కడుంది?’ అని అడుగుతున్నాడని ఆ ఇంటి యజమానితో చెప్పండి.
12 He will show you a large, furnished upper room. Make preparations there.”
౧౨అతడు అన్ని సదుపాయాలూ ఉన్న ఒక పెద్ద మేడ గది మీకు చూపిస్తాడు. అక్కడ సిద్ధం చేయండి” అని వారితో చెప్పాడు.
13 They went, found things as Jesus had told them, and they prepared the Passover.
౧౩సరిగ్గా ఆయన తమతో చెప్పినట్టే అన్నీ వారికి జరిగాయి. దాంతో ఆయన చెప్పినట్టే వారు పస్కాభోజనం సిద్ధపరిచారు.
14 When the hour had come, he sat down with the twelve apostles.
౧౪సమయం వచ్చినప్పుడు ఆయనా ఆయనతో కూడా అపొస్తలులూ భోజనానికి కూర్చున్నారు.
15 He said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer,
౧౫అప్పుడాయన, “నేను హింస పొందక ముందు మీతో కలిసి ఈ పస్కా విందు ఆరగించాలని ఎంతో ఆశించాను.
16 for I tell you, I will no longer by any means eat of it until it is fulfilled in God’s Kingdom.”
౧౬ఎందుకంటే అది దేవుని రాజ్యంలో నెరవేరే వరకూ మళ్ళీ దాన్ని తిననని మీతో చెబుతున్నాను.”
17 He received a cup, and when he had given thanks, he said, “Take this and share it among yourselves,
౧౭తరువాత ఆయన ఒక గిన్నె తీసుకుని కృతజ్ఞతలు చెప్పి, “మీరు దీన్ని తీసుకుని పంచుకోండి.
18 for I tell you, I will not drink at all again from the fruit of the vine, until God’s Kingdom comes.”
౧౮ఇక దేవుని రాజ్యం వచ్చే వరకూ నేను ద్రాక్షారసం తాగనని మీతో చెబుతున్నాను” అన్నాడు.
19 He took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke and gave it to them, saying, “This is my body which is given for you. Do this in memory of me.”
౧౯ఆ తరవాత ఆయన ఒక రొట్టె తీసుకుని కృతజ్ఞతలు అర్పించి, దాన్ని విరిచి వారికిచ్చి, “ఇది మీ కోసం ధారాదత్తమైన నా శరీరం. నన్ను జ్ఞాపకం చేసుకోడానికి దీన్ని చేయండి” అని చెప్పాడు.
20 Likewise, he took the cup after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
౨౦అలాగే భోజనమైన తరువాత ఆయన ఆ పాత్రను తీసుకుని, “ఈ పాత్ర మీ కోసం చిందే నా రక్తం ద్వారా వచ్చిన కొత్త నిబంధన.
21 But behold, the hand of him who betrays me is with me on the table.
౨౧“వినండి, నన్ను శత్రువులకు పట్టించే వాడు నాతో కూడా ఈ బల్ల దగ్గరే ఉన్నాడు.
22 The Son of Man indeed goes as it has been determined, but woe to that man through whom he is betrayed!”
౨౨దేవుని నిర్ణయం ప్రకారం మనుష్య కుమారుడు వెళ్ళిపోతున్నాడు. కానీ ఆయనను పట్టిస్తున్న ఆ వ్యక్తికి మాత్రం యాతన తప్పదు” అన్నాడు,
23 They began to question among themselves which of them it was who would do this thing.
౨౩ఇది చేయబోయేదెవరో అంటూ వారు తమలో తాము ప్రశ్నించుకోవడం మొదలు పెట్టారు.
24 A dispute also arose among them, which of them was considered to be greatest.
౨౪తమలో ఎవరు గొప్ప అనే వివాదం వారిలో తలెత్తింది.
25 He said to them, “The kings of the nations lord it over them, and those who have authority over them are called ‘benefactors.’
౨౫అప్పుడు ఆయన వారితో ఇలా అన్నాడు, “ఇతర ప్రజల రాజులు తమ ప్రజల మీద ప్రభుత్వం చేస్తారు. ప్రజల మీద అధికారం చెలాయించే వారు ‘ధర్మదాతలు’ అని పిలిపించుకుంటారు.
26 But not so with you. Rather, the one who is greater among you, let him become as the younger, and one who is governing, as one who serves.
౨౬మీరు అలా ఉండకూడదు. మీలో ప్రముఖుడు తక్కువవాడుగా, నాయకుడు సేవకుడిలా ఉండాలి.
27 For who is greater, one who sits at the table, or one who serves? Isn’t it he who sits at the table? But I am among you as one who serves.
౨౭అసలు గొప్పవాడు అంటే ఎవరు? భోజనానికి కూర్చునే వాడా లేక సేవ చేసేవాడా? భోజనానికి కూర్చునే వాడే కదా! అయినా నేను మీ మధ్య సేవ చేసే వాడిలా ఉన్నాను.
28 “But you are those who have continued with me in my trials.
౨౮“నాకు కలిగిన విషమ పరీక్షల్లో మీరే నాతో నిలిచి ఉన్నారు.
29 I confer on you a kingdom, even as my Father conferred on me,
౨౯నా తండ్రి నాకు రాజ్యాన్ని ప్రసాదించాడు. నా రాజ్యంలో నా భోజన బల్ల దగ్గర భోజనం చేసి,
30 that you may eat and drink at my table in my Kingdom. You will sit on thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.”
౩౦సింహాసనాలపై కూర్చుని ఇశ్రాయేలు పన్నెండు గోత్రాలకూ మీరు తీర్పు తీర్చడానికి నేను కూడా మీకు రాజ్యాన్ని ప్రసాదిస్తున్నాను.
31 The Lord said, “Simon, Simon, behold, Satan asked to have all of you, that he might sift you as wheat,
౩౧“సీమోనూ, సీమోనూ, విను. సాతాను మిమ్మల్ని పట్టుకుని గోదుమల్లా జల్లించడానికి కోరుకున్నాడు.
32 but I prayed for you, that your faith wouldn’t fail. You, when once you have turned again, establish your brothers.”
౩౨నీ విశ్వాసం విఫలం కాకుండా నేను నీ కోసం ప్రార్థించాను. నువ్వు మళ్ళీ దేవుని వైపు తిరిగిన తరువాత నీ సోదరులను స్థిరపరచు.”
33 He said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death!”
౩౩కానీ పేతురు, “ప్రభూ, నీతో కూడా చెరసాలకు వెళ్ళడానికైనా, మరణించడానికైనా నేను సిద్ధంగా ఉన్నాను” అని ఆయనతో అన్నాడు.
34 He said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will by no means crow today until you deny that you know me three times.”
౩౪అప్పుడు ఆయన, “ఈ రోజు నేనెవరో తెలియదని నువ్వు మూడుసార్లు బొంకిన తరువాతనే కోడి కూస్తుందని నీకు చెబుతున్నాను” అన్నాడు.
35 He said to them, “When I sent you out without purse, bag, and sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.”
౩౫ఇంకా ఆయన “నేను డబ్బు సంచీ, చెప్పులూ లేకుండా మిమ్మల్ని పంపినప్పుడు మీకేమన్నా తక్కువయిందా?” అని అడిగాడు. దానికి వారు, “ఏమీ తక్కువ కాలేదు” అన్నారు.
36 Then he said to them, “But now, whoever has a purse, let him take it, and likewise a bag. Whoever has none, let him sell his cloak, and buy a sword.
౩౬ఆయన, “కానీ ఇప్పుడు సంచీ జోలే ఉన్నవాడు వాటిని తీసుకువెళ్ళాలి. కత్తి లేని వాడు తన పైబట్ట అమ్మి కత్తి కొనుక్కోవాలి.
37 For I tell you that this which is written must still be fulfilled in me: ‘He was counted with transgressors.’ For that which concerns me is being fulfilled.”
౩౭‘ఆయనను అక్రమాలు చేసేవారిలో ఒకడిగా ఎంచారు’ అని రాసి ఉన్న లేఖనం నా విషయంలో నెరవేరాలి. నన్ను గురించిన విషయాలన్నీ తప్పక నెరవేరతాయని మీతో చెబుతున్నాను” అన్నాడు.
38 They said, “Lord, behold, here are two swords.” He said to them, “That is enough.”
౩౮శిష్యులు, “ప్రభూ ఇక్కడ రెండు కత్తులున్నాయి” అన్నారు. ఆయన, “చాలు” అన్నాడు.
39 He came out and went, as his custom was, to the Mount of Olives. His disciples also followed him.
౩౯భోజనం అయ్యాక ఆయన బయల్దేరి తన అలవాటు ప్రకారం ఒలీవ కొండకు వెళ్ళాడు. ఆయన శిష్యులు కూడా ఆయనతో వెళ్ళారు.
40 When he was at the place, he said to them, “Pray that you don’t enter into temptation.”
౪౦వారు అక్కడికి చేరుకున్న తరువాత ఆయన వారితో, “మీరు విషమ పరీక్షలో పడకుండా ప్రార్థన చేయండి” అన్నాడు.
41 He was withdrawn from them about a stone’s throw, and he knelt down and prayed,
౪౧వారి దగ్గర నుండి ఆయన రాతివేత దూరం వెళ్ళి అక్కడ మోకరించి ఇలా ప్రార్థన చేశాడు.
42 saying, “Father, if you are willing, remove this cup from me. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.”
౪౨“తండ్రీ, నీకు ఇష్టమైతే ఈ పాత్రను నా నుంచి తొలగించు. అయినా నా ఇష్టం కాదు. నీ ఇష్టమే జరగాలి.”
43 An angel from heaven appeared to him, strengthening him.
౪౩అప్పుడు పరలోకం నుండి ఒక దూత ఆయనకు కనపడి ఆయనను బలపరిచాడు.
44 Being in agony, he prayed more earnestly. His sweat became like great drops of blood falling down on the ground.
౪౪ఆయన తీవ్రంగా ప్రార్థిస్తూ మరింత యాతన పడ్డాడు. అప్పుడు ఆయన చెమట రక్త బిందువుల్లా నేలపై పడుతూ ఉంది.
45 When he rose up from his prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping because of grief,
౪౫ఆయన ప్రార్థన ముగించి తన శిష్యుల దగ్గరికి వచ్చాడు. వారు దుఃఖంచేత నిద్రపోవడం చూశాడు.
46 and said to them, “Why do you sleep? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.”
౪౬వారితో, “మీరెందుకు నిద్ర పోతున్నారు? విషమ పరీక్షలో పడకుండా మేల్కొని ప్రార్థించండి” అన్నాడు.
47 While he was still speaking, a crowd appeared. He who was called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He came near to Jesus to kiss him.
౪౭ఆయన ఇంకా మాట్లాడుతూ ఉండగానే ప్రజలు సమూహంగా వచ్చారు. పన్నెండు మంది శిష్యుల్లో ఒకడైన యూదా వారికి ముందుగా నడుస్తూ యేసును ముద్దు పెట్టుకోడానికి దగ్గరగా వచ్చాడు.
48 But Jesus said to him, “Judas, do you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?”
౪౮అప్పుడు యేసు, “యూదా, ముద్దు పెట్టుకుని మనుష్య కుమారుణ్ణి పట్టిస్తున్నావా?” అన్నాడు.
49 When those who were around him saw what was about to happen, they said to him, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?”
౪౯ఆయన చుట్టూ ఉన్నవారు జరుగుతున్నదేమిటో గ్రహించి, “ప్రభూ, కత్తితో నరకమంటావా?” అని అడిగారు.
50 A certain one of them struck the servant of the high priest, and cut off his right ear.
౫౦ఈలోగా వారిలో ఒకడు ప్రధాన యాజకుడి సేవకుణ్ణి కొట్టి వాడి చెవి నరికాడు.
51 But Jesus answered, “Let me at least do this”—and he touched his ear and healed him.
౫౧దానికి యేసు, “అంతటితో ఆగండి” అని అతని చెవిని తాకి బాగుచేశాడు.
52 Jesus said to the chief priests, captains of the temple, and elders, who had come against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs?
౫౨తనను పట్టుకోడానికి వచ్చిన పెద్దలతో, ప్రధాన యాజకులతో, దేవాలయం అధికారులతో, “ఒక బందిపోటు దొంగను పట్టుకోడానికి వచ్చినట్టు కత్తులతో దుడ్డు కర్రలతో బయల్దేరి వచ్చారా?
53 When I was with you in the temple daily, you didn’t stretch out your hands against me. But this is your hour, and the power of darkness.”
౫౩నేను ప్రతిరోజూ మీ దగ్గర దేవాలయంలో ఉన్నప్పుడు నన్ను పట్టుకోలేదు. అయితే ఇది మీ సమయం, చీకటి ఆధిపత్యం” అన్నాడు.
54 They seized him and led him away, and brought him into the high priest’s house. But Peter followed from a distance.
౫౪వారు ఆయనను పట్టుకుని ఈడ్చుకుంటూ ప్రధాన యాజకుడి ఇంట్లోకి తీసుకు వెళ్ళారు. పేతురు దూరంగా వారి వెనకే వెళ్ళాడు.
55 When they had kindled a fire in the middle of the courtyard and had sat down together, Peter sat among them.
౫౫అప్పుడు కొంతమంది ఆ ఇంటి ఆవరణలో చలిమంట వేసుకుని దాని చుట్టూ కూర్చుని ఉన్నారు. పేతురు కూడా వెళ్ళి వారితో కూర్చున్నాడు.
56 A certain servant girl saw him as he sat in the light, and looking intently at him, said, “This man also was with him.”
౫౬అప్పుడు ఒక పనిపిల్ల మంట వెలుతురులో కూర్చుని ఉన్న పేతురును పరీక్షగా చూసి, “ఈ మనిషి కూడా అతనితో ఉన్నవాడే” అంది.
57 He denied Jesus, saying, “Woman, I don’t know him.”
౫౭దానికి పేతురు, “అమ్మాయీ, అతనెవరో నాకు తెలియదు” అన్నాడు.
58 After a little while someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them!” But Peter answered, “Man, I am not!”
౫౮కాసేపటికి మరొకడు పేతురును చూసి, “నువ్వు కూడా వారిలో ఒకడివే” అన్నాడు. దానికి పేతురు, “నేను కాదయ్యా” అన్నాడు.
59 After about one hour passed, another confidently affirmed, saying, “Truly this man also was with him, for he is a Galilean!”
౫౯మరో గంట గడిచాక ఇంకొకడు పేతురును చూసి, “ఇతడు కచ్చితంగా అతనితో కూడా ఉన్నాడు. ఇతడు గలిలయ వాడే” అని నొక్కి చెప్పాడు.
60 But Peter said, “Man, I don’t know what you are talking about!” Immediately, while he was still speaking, a rooster crowed.
౬౦అందుకు పేతురు, “నువ్వు అంటున్నదేమిటో నాకు తెలియడం లేదు” అన్నాడు. అతడు ఇలా మాట్లాడుతూ ఉండగానే కోడి కూసింది.
61 The Lord turned and looked at Peter. Then Peter remembered the Lord’s word, how he said to him, “Before the rooster crows you will deny me three times.”
౬౧అప్పుడు ప్రభువు అటు తిరిగి పేతురు వైపు చూశాడు. “నేనెవరో తెలియదని నువ్వు మూడుసార్లు చెప్పిన తరువాత కోడి కూస్తుందని” ప్రభువు తనతో చెప్పిన మాట పేతురుకి జ్ఞాపకం వచ్చింది.
62 He went out, and wept bitterly.
౬౨దాంతో పేతురు బయటకు వెళ్ళి వెక్కి వెక్కి ఏడ్చాడు.
63 The men who held Jesus mocked him and beat him.
౬౩యేసును పట్టుకున్నవారు ఆయనను ఎగతాళి చేశారు, కొట్టారు.
64 Having blindfolded him, they struck him on the face and asked him, “Prophesy! Who is the one who struck you?”
౬౪ఆయన కళ్ళకు గంతలు కట్టి, కొట్టి “నిన్ను ఎవరు కొట్టారో ప్రవచనం చెప్పు” అన్నారు.
65 They spoke many other things against him, insulting him.
౬౫ఆయనను నీచంగా దూషించారు. ఆయనకు వ్యతిరేకంగా అనేక దూషణ మాటలు పలికారు.
66 As soon as it was day, the assembly of the elders of the people were gathered together, both chief priests and scribes, and they led him away into their council, saying,
౬౬ఉదయం కాగానే ప్రజల నాయకులూ, ముఖ్య యాజకులూ, ధర్మశాస్త్ర పండితులూ సమావేశమయ్యారు. ఆయనను మహాసభకు తీసుకువెళ్ళారు.
67 “If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you won’t believe,
౬౭“నువ్వు అభిషిక్తుడివైతే అది మాకు చెప్పు” అన్నారు. అందుకాయన, “నేను మీతో చెప్పినా మీరు నమ్మరు.
68 and if I ask, you will in no way answer me or let me go.
౬౮అంతే కాకుండా నేను మిమ్మల్ని ప్రశ్నిస్తే జవాబివ్వరు.
69 From now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of the power of God.”
౬౯అయితే ఇకపై మనుష్య కుమారుడు బల ప్రభావాలున్న దేవుని కుడి వైపున కూర్చుని ఉంటాడు” అన్నాడు.
70 They all said, “Are you then the Son of God?” He said to them, “You say it, because I am.”
౭౦“అయితే నువ్వు దేవుని కుమారుడివా?” అన్నారు. ఆయన వారితో, “మీరన్నట్టు ఆయనను నేనే” అన్నాడు.
71 They said, “Why do we need any more witness? For we ourselves have heard from his own mouth!”
౭౧అందుకు వారు, “మనకిక సాక్షులతో పనేముంది? ఇతని నోటి మాట మనమే విన్నాం కదా” అన్నారు.
