Job 18

1 Then Bildad the Shuhite answered,

೧ಆಗ ಶೂಹ್ಯನಾದ ಬಿಲ್ದದನು ಪ್ರತ್ಯುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ಹೀಗೆಂದನು,

2 “How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.

೨“ಇನ್ನೆಷ್ಟರವರೆಗೆ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಂಚು ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರುವೆ? ಮೊದಲು ನೀನು ಆಲೋಚಿಸು, ಆ ಮೇಲೆ ಮಾತನಾಡೋಣ.

3 Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?

೩ಏಕೆ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಮೃಗಗಳೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸಿದ್ದೀ? ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಾವು ದಡ್ಡರೋ?

4 You who tear yourself in your anger, will the earth be forsaken for you? Or will the rock be removed out of its place?

೪ಸಿಟ್ಟಿನಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಸೀಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನೇ, ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಲೋಕವೇ ಹಾಳಾಗಬೇಕೋ, ಬಂಡೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಜರುಗಬೇಕೋ?

5 “Yes, the light of the wicked will be put out. The spark of his fire won’t shine.

೫ಹೇಗಾದರೂ ದುಷ್ಟನ ದೀಪವು ಆರುವುದು, ಅವನ ಒಲೆಯು ಉರಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

6 The light will be dark in his tent. His lamp above him will be put out.

೬ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಳಕು ಕತ್ತಲಾಗುವುದು, ಅವನ ಮೇಲಣ ತೂಗು ದೀವಿಗೆಯು ನಂದಿಹೋಗುವುದು.

7 The steps of his strength will be shortened. His own counsel will cast him down.

೭ಅವನ ಬಲವುಳ್ಳ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳು ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಾಗುವುದು, ಅವನ ಆಲೋಚನೆಯೇ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಹಾಕುವುದು.

8 For he is cast into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.

೮ತನ್ನ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಿಂದಲೇ ಬಲೆಗೆ ಬೀಳುವನು, ಹಾಳು ಗುಂಡಿಯ ಮೇಲೆ ನಡೆಯುವನು.

9 A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.

೯ಬಲೆ ಅವನ ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿಯನ್ನು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ ಕಚ್ಚುವುದು, ಉರುಲು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿಯುವುದು.

10 A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him on the path.

೧೦ನೆಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪಾಶವೂ, ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಜಾಲವೂ ಅವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಹೊಂಚಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವು.

11 Terrors will make him afraid on every side, and will chase him at his heels.

೧೧ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಪಾಯಗಳು ಅವನನ್ನು ಹೆದರಿಸಿ; ಅವನ ಹಿಮ್ಮಡಿ ತುಳಿಯುತ್ತಾ ಬೆನ್ನು ಹತ್ತುವವು.

12 His strength will be famished. Calamity will be ready at his side.

೧೨ಅವನ ಬಲವು ಕುಂದಿಹೋಗುವುದು. ಅವನು ಎಡವಿ ಬಿದ್ದಾನೇ ಎಂದು ವಿಪತ್ತು ಕಾದಿರುವುದು.

13 The members of his body will be devoured. The firstborn of death will devour his members.

೧೩ಮೃತ್ಯುವಿನ ಹಿರಿಯ ಮಗನು ಅವನ ಚರ್ಮವನ್ನು ಚೂರು ಚೂರಾಗಿ ತಿಂದು, ಅವನ ಅಂಗಗಳನ್ನು ನುಂಗಿಬಿಡುವನು.

14 He will be rooted out of the security of his tent. He will be brought to the king of terrors.

೧೪ಅವನ ನಿರ್ಭಯದ ಗುಡಾರದಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಳೆದು, ಮಹಾಭೀತಿಗಳ ರಾಜನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಗೆ ಸಾಗಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವನು.

15 There will dwell in his tent that which is none of his. Sulfur will be scattered on his habitation.

೧೫ಅವನ ಸಂಬಂಧಿಕರಲ್ಲದವರು ಅವನ ಗುಡಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವರು, ಅವನ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಗಂಧಕವು ಎರಚಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.

16 His roots will be dried up beneath. His branch will be cut off above.

೧೬ಅವನ ವಂಶವೃಕ್ಷದ ಬೇರುಗಳು ಒಣಗುವುದು, ಅದರ ರೆಂಬೆಯು ಮೇಲೆ ಬಾಡುವುದು.

17 His memory will perish from the earth. He will have no name in the street.

೧೭ಅವನ ಸ್ಮರಣೆಯು ಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಳಿದುಹೋಗುವುದು, ಅವನ ಹೆಸರು ಹೊರಗಣ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

18 He will be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

೧೮ಅವನನ್ನು ಬೆಳಕಿನಿಂದ ಕತ್ತಲೆಗೆ ನೂಕಿ, ಲೋಕದಿಂದಲೇ ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಡುವರು.

19 He will have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.

೧೯ಅವನಿಗೆ ಸ್ವಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಮಗನಾಗಲಿ, ಮೊಮ್ಮಗನಾಗಲಿ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವನು ವಾಸಿಸುವ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾರೂ ಉಳಿಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.

20 Those who come after will be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.

೨೦ಪಡುವಣದವರು ಅವನ ನಾಶದ ದಿನವನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹೆದರುವರು, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಮೂಡಣದವರು ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತರಾಗುವರು.

21 Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn’t know God.”

೨೧ಕೆಡುಕರ ನಿವಾಸಗಳ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಇಂಥದೇ. ದೇವರನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸದವನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಇರುತ್ತದೆ.”
