Jeremiah 22
1 Yahweh said, “Go down to the house of the king of Judah, and speak this word there:
೧ಯೆಹೋವನು ನನಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಅಪ್ಪಣೆಕೊಟ್ಟನು, “ನೀನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆಗೆ ಇಳಿದು ಹೋಗಿ ಈ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳು,
2 ‘Hear Yahweh’s word, king of Judah, who sits on David’s throne—you, your servants, and your people who enter in by these gates.
೨ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನರೂಢನಾದ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು; ನಿನ್ನ ಸೇವಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇರುವ ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೂ ಕೇಳಲಿ.
3 Yahweh says: “Execute justice and righteousness, and deliver him who is robbed out of the hand of the oppressor. Do no wrong. Do no violence to the foreigner, the fatherless, or the widow. Don’t shed innocent blood in this place.
೩ಯೆಹೋವನು, ನೀತಿ, ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನು ಆಚರಿಸಿರಿ, ಸುಲಿಗೆಯಾದವನನ್ನು ದೋಚಿಕೊಂಡವನ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ಬಿಡಿಸಿರಿ. ವಿದೇಶಿ, ಅನಾಥ, ವಿಧವೆ ಇವರಿಗೆ ಯಾವ ಅನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಹಿಂಸೆಯನ್ನೂ ಮಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಯ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರಿಸಬೇಡಿರಿ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
4 For if you do this thing indeed, then kings sitting on David’s throne will enter in by the gates of this house, riding in chariots and on horses—they, their servants, and their people.
೪“ನೀವು ಈ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೊಂಡರೆ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನಾರೂಢರಾದ ಅರಸರು ರಥಾಶ್ವಗಳನ್ನೇರಿದವರಾಗಿ ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರೊಡನೆಯೂ, ಪ್ರಜೆಗಳೊಡನೆಯೂ ಈ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸುವರು.
5 But if you will not hear these words, I swear by myself,” says Yahweh, “that this house will become a desolation.”’”
೫ನೀವು ಈ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಕೇಳದಿದ್ದರೆ ಈ ಅರಮನೆಯು ಹಾಳುಬೀಳುವುದು ಎಂದು ನನ್ನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಣೆಯಿಡುತ್ತೇನೆ ಇದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ” ಎಂಬುದೇ.
6 For Yahweh says concerning the house of the king of Judah: “You are Gilead to me, the head of Lebanon. Yet surely I will make you a wilderness, cities which are not inhabited.
೬ಯೆಹೋವನು ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನ ಮನೆತನವನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ಲೆಬನೋನಿನ ಶಿಖರದ ಹಾಗೂ ಇದ್ದಿ, ಆದರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮರುಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿರ್ಜನ ಪಟ್ಟಣವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ.
7 I will prepare destroyers against you, everyone with his weapons, and they will cut down your choice cedars, and cast them into the fire.
೭ಆಯುಧ ಸನ್ನದ್ಧರಾದ ಸಂಹಾರಕರನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸುವೆನು; ಅವರು ನಿನ್ನ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ದೇವದಾರುಗಳನ್ನು ಕಡಿದು ಬೆಂಕಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕುವರು.
8 “Many nations will pass by this city, and they will each ask his neighbor, ‘Why has Yahweh done this to this great city?’
೮ಅನೇಕ ಜನಾಂಗಗಳವರು ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಮಾರ್ಗವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುತ್ತಾ, ‘ಯೆಹೋವನು ಈ ಮಹಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ಏಕೆ ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದನು?’ ಎಂದು ಒಬ್ಬರಿಗೊಬ್ಬರು ಮಾತನಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾ,
9 Then they will answer, ‘Because they abandoned the covenant of Yahweh their God, worshiped other gods, and served them.’”
೯‘ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಒಡಂಬಡಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿ, ಅನ್ಯದೇವತೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಿ ಸೇವಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದಲೇ ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಗತಿಯಾಯಿತು’ ಎಂದು ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು.”
10 Don’t weep for the dead. Don’t bemoan him; but weep bitterly for him who goes away, for he will return no more, and not see his native country.
೧೦ಸತ್ತವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಳಬೇಡಿರಿ, ಗೋಳಾಡಬೇಡಿರಿ; ಸೆರೆಯಾದವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಬಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿಕ್ಕಿ ಅಳಿರಿ; ಅವನು ಇನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗನು, ಜನ್ಮಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡನು.
11 For Yahweh says touching Shallum the son of Josiah, king of Judah, who reigned instead of Josiah his father, and who went out of this place: “He won’t return there any more.
೧೧ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ತರುವಾಯ ಪಟ್ಟಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದವನೂ ಇಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಸೆರೆಯಾಗಿ ಹೋದವನೂ ಆದ ಶಲ್ಲೂಮನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೇಳುವುದೇನೆಂದರೆ, “ಅವನು ಇಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಿ ಬಾರನು.
12 But he will die in the place where they have led him captive. He will see this land no more.”
೧೨ಅವನನ್ನು ಎಲ್ಲಿಗೆ ಸೆರೆಯೊಯ್ದರೋ ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯುವನು, ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಇನ್ನು ಕಾಣನು” ಎಂಬುದೇ.
13 “Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness, and his rooms by injustice; who uses his neighbor’s service without wages, and doesn’t give him his hire;
೧೩ತನ್ನ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನು ದುರ್ನೀತಿಯಿಂದಲೂ, ಮಹಡಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅನ್ಯಾಯದಿಂದಲೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನ ಗತಿಯನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ! ಕೂಲಿಕೊಡದೆ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಂದ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿಸಿ,
14 who says, ‘I will build myself a wide house and spacious rooms,’ and cuts out windows for himself, with a cedar ceiling, and painted with red.
೧೪ಆಹಾ, “ನಾನು ವಿಸ್ತಾರವಾದ ಅರಮನೆಯನ್ನೂ ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ ಮಹಡಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವೆನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ, ಅಗಲಗಲವಾದ ಕಿಟಕಿಗಳನ್ನಿಡಿಸಿ, ಒಳಗೆ ಗೋಡೆಗೆಲ್ಲಾ ದೇವದಾರಿನ ಹಲಗೆಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊದಿಸಿ, ಕಿರಿಮಂಜಿಯ ಬಣ್ಣವನ್ನು ಬಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನ ಪಾಡನ್ನು ಏನು ಹೇಳಲಿ!
15 “Should you reign because you strive to excel in cedar? Didn’t your father eat and drink, and do justice and righteousness? Then it was well with him.
೧೫ನೀನು ದೇವದಾರುವಿನ ಕೆಲಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಪರ್ಧಿಸುವುದರಿಂದಲೇ ಆಳತಕ್ಕವನಾಗಿದ್ದೀಯೋ? ನಿನ್ನ ತಂದೆಯು ಎಷ್ಟೇ ಉಂಡು ಕುಡಿದರೂ ನೀತಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಗಳನ್ನಂತು ಕೈಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಆಗ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು.
16 He judged the cause of the poor and needy; so then it was well. Wasn’t this to know me?” says Yahweh.
೧೬ದೀನದರಿದ್ರರ ವ್ಯಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತೀರಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು; ಆಗ ಸುಖವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ನನ್ನನ್ನು ಅರಿಯುವುದೆಂದರೆ ಇದೇ ಎಂಬುದು ಯೆಹೋವನ ನುಡಿ.
17 But your eyes and your heart are only for your covetousness, for shedding innocent blood, for oppression, and for doing violence.”
೧೭ಆದರೆ ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳ ರಕ್ತವನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವುದು, ದೋಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು, ಹಿಂಸಿಸುವುದು, ಜಜ್ಜುವುದು, ಇವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವುದರಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸೂ ನೆಲೆಗೊಂಡಿವೆ.
18 Therefore Yahweh says concerning Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah: “They won’t lament for him, saying, ‘Ah my brother!’ or, ‘Ah sister!’ They won’t lament for him, saying ‘Ah lord!’ or, ‘Ah his glory!’
೧೮ಆದಕಾರಣ ಯೋಷೀಯನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ವಿಷಯವಾಗಿ ಯೆಹೋವನು. “ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಅಣ್ಣಾ, ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಅಕ್ಕಾ ಎಂದು ಗೋಳಾಡುವಂತೆ ಇವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಾರೂ ಗೋಳಾಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅಯ್ಯೋ ನಮ್ಮೊಡೆಯಾ, ಅಯ್ಯೋ, ದೊರೆಯ ಮಹಿಮೆಯೇ ಎಂದು ಇವನಿಗಾಗಿ ಯಾರೂ ಪ್ರಲಾಪಿಸರು.
19 He will be buried with the burial of a donkey, drawn and cast out beyond the gates of Jerusalem.”
೧೯ಇವನನ್ನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನ ಬಾಗಿಲುಗಳ ಹೊರಗೆ ಕತ್ತೆಯಂತೆ ಎಳೆದು ಬಿಸಾಡಿ ಮಣ್ಣುಪಾಲು ಮಾಡುವರು” ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ.
20 “Go up to Lebanon, and cry out. Lift up your voice in Bashan, and cry from Abarim; for all your lovers have been destroyed.
೨೦ಚೀಯೋನ್ ಯುವತಿಯೇ, ಲೆಬನೋನ್ ಪರ್ವತವನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿ ಕೂಗಿಕೋ! ಬಾಷಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊರೆಯಿಡು, ಅಬಾರೀಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಚಿಕೋ! ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದವರೆಲ್ಲಾ ಹಾಳಾಗಿ ಹೋದರಲ್ಲಾ.
21 I spoke to you in your prosperity, but you said, ‘I will not listen.’ This has been your way from your youth, that you didn’t obey my voice.
೨೧ನಾನು ನೆಮ್ಮದಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ನಿನ್ನೊಡನೆ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದಾಗ “ನಾನು ಕೇಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ” ಎಂದು ನೀನು ಹೇಳಿದಿ. ನನ್ನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳದಿರುವುದು ನಿನಗೆ ಬಾಲ್ಯದಿಂದಲೇ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸ.
22 The wind will feed all your shepherds, and your lovers will go into captivity. Surely then you will be ashamed and confounded for all your wickedness.
೨೨ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಟ್ಟಿಕೊಂಡು ಹೋಗುವ ಕುರುಬರನ್ನು ಗಾಳಿಯು ಅಟ್ಟಿಬಿಡುವುದು. ನಿನ್ನೊಂದಿಗೆ ವ್ಯಭಿಚಾರ ಮಾಡಿದವರು ಸೆರೆಹೋಗುವರು; ಆಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಸಕಲ ದುಷ್ಕೃತ್ಯಗಳ ನಿಮಿತ್ತ ನೀನು ಆಶಾಭಂಗಪಟ್ಟು ಅವಮಾನಕ್ಕೀಡಾಗುವುದು ಖಂಡಿತ.
23 Inhabitant of Lebanon, who makes your nest in the cedars, how greatly to be pitied you will be when pangs come on you, the pain as of a woman in travail!
೨೩ಲೆಬನೋನಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವವಳೇ, ದೇವದಾರುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗೂಡು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವವಳೇ, ಪ್ರಸವವೇದನೆಯಂತಿರುವ ಸಂಕಟವು ನಿನಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವಾಗ ನಿನ್ನ ಸ್ಥಿತಿಯು ಎಷ್ಟೋ ದುಃಖಕರವಾಗಿರುವುದು!
24 “As I live,” says Yahweh, “though Coniah the son of Jehoiakim king of Judah were the signet on my right hand, I would still pluck you from there.
೨೪ಯೆಹೋವನು ಹೀಗೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಜೀವದಾಣೆ, ಯೆಹೋಯಾಕೀಮನ ಮಗನೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನೂ ಆದ ಕೊನ್ಯನೆಂಬ ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಬಲಗೈಯ ಮುದ್ರೆಯುಂಗರವಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ ನಾನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಕಿತ್ತುಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆನು!
25 I would give you into the hand of those who seek your life, and into the hand of them of whom you are afraid, even into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of the Chaldeans.
೨೫ನಿನ್ನ ಪ್ರಾಣವನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿ ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಯವನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುವವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ ಬಾಬೆಲಿನ ಅರಸನಾದ ನೆಬೂಕದ್ನೆಚ್ಚರನ ಮತ್ತು ಕಸ್ದೀಯರ ಕೈಗೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವೆನು.
26 I will cast you out with your mother who bore you into another country, where you were not born; and there you will die.
೨೬ನಿನ್ನನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೆತ್ತ ತಾಯಿಯನ್ನೂ ಜನ್ಮಭೂಮಿಯಲ್ಲದ ಅನ್ಯದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಎಸೆದುಬಿಡುವೆನು; ಅಲ್ಲೇ ಸಾಯುವಿರಿ.
27 But to the land to which their soul longs to return, there they will not return.”
೨೭ಹಿಂದಿರುಗಬೇಕೆಂದು ಹಂಬಲಿಸುವ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಅವರು ಹಿಂದಿರುಗುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ” ಎಂಬುದೇ.
28 Is this man Coniah a despised broken vessel? Is he a vessel in which no one delights? Why are they cast out, he and his offspring, and cast into a land which they don’t know?
೨೮ಕೊನ್ಯನೆಂಬ ಈ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ಬಿಸಾಡಿದ ಒಡಕು ಕುಡಿಕೆಯೋ? ಯಾರಿಗೂ ಇಷ್ಟವಿಲ್ಲದ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ಮಡಿಕೆಯೋ? ಎಂಬಂತೆ, ಅವನೂ ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರೂ ಏಕೆ ಬಿಸಾಡಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ನೋಡದ ದೇಶಕ್ಕೆ ಏಕೆ ಎಸೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ?
29 O earth, earth, earth, hear Yahweh’s word!
೨೯ದೇಶವೇ, ದೇಶವೇ, ದೇಶವೇ ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳು!
30 Yahweh says, “Record this man as childless, a man who will not prosper in his days; for no more will a man of his offspring prosper, sitting on David’s throne and ruling in Judah.”
೩೦ಯೆಹೋವನು, “ಇವನನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಲ್ಲದವನು, ವ್ಯರ್ಥಜನ್ಮದವನು ಎಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆಯಿರಿ; ಇವನ ಸಂತಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಇನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ಯಾರೂ ದಾವೀದನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಯೆಹೂದವನ್ನು ಆಳಿ ಬಾಳನು” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
