< Isaiah 58 >

1 “Cry aloud! Don’t spare! Lift up your voice like a trumpet! Declare to my people their disobedience, and to the house of Jacob their sins.
LEUM GOD El fahk, “Wowoyak ke kuiyom nufon! Fahk nu sin mwet luk mwet Israel ke ma koluk lalos!
2 Yet they seek me daily, and delight to know my ways. As a nation that did righteousness, and didn’t forsake the ordinance of their God, they ask of me righteous judgments. They delight to draw near to God.
Elos alu nu sik len nukewa, ac fahk mu elos kena etu mwe luti luk ac in akos ma sap luk. Elos fahk mu elos lungse nga in sang nu selos ma sap suwohs, ac elos insewowo na in alu nu sik.”
3 ‘Why have we fasted,’ they say, ‘and you don’t see? Why have we afflicted our soul, and you don’t notice?’ “Behold, in the day of your fast you find pleasure, and oppress all your laborers.
Mwet uh siyuk, “Efu ku kut in lalo LEUM GOD El fin tiana liye? Mwe mea kut in tia mongo El fin tia lohma nu sesr?” LEUM GOD El fahk nu selos, “Mweyen ke pacl kowos lalo uh, kowos oru na lungse lowos sifacna, ac kowos akkohsye mwet orekma lowos.
4 Behold, you fast for strife and contention, and to strike with the fist of wickedness. You don’t fast today so as to make your voice to be heard on high.
Lalo lowos uh oru kowos in mongsa, na kowos akukuin ac anwuk. Ya kowos nunku mu nga ac lohng pre lowos ke lalo ouinge?
5 Is this the fast that I have chosen? A day for a man to humble his soul? Is it to bow down his head like a reed, and to spread sackcloth and ashes under himself? Will you call this a fast, and an acceptable day to Yahweh?
Pacl kowos lalo, kowos sifacna oru kowos in keok. Kowos suwoli nwe ten oana soko loa kuruweni, ac kowos laknelik nuknuk yohk eoa ac sang apat nu fac kowos in ona fac. Ya kowos pangon mu pa ingan lalo uh? Ya kowos nunku mu nga engankin?
6 “Isn’t this the fast that I have chosen: to release the bonds of wickedness, to undo the straps of the yoke, to let the oppressed go free, and that you break every yoke?
“Kain lalo se ma nga lungse uh pa inge: tulalosla su kapir ke nununku sesuwos, ac aksukosokye mwet su kowos akkeokye.
7 Isn’t it to distribute your bread to the hungry, and that you bring the poor who are cast out to your house? When you see the naked, that you cover him; and that you not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Sang mongo nun mwet masrinsral, ac usak mwet sukasrup ma wangin lohm se nu in lohm suwos. Sang nuknuk nu sin mwet su enenu nuknuk, ac tia srangesr in kasru mwet in sou lowos sifacna.
8 Then your light will break out as the morning, and your healing will appear quickly; then your righteousness shall go before you, and Yahweh’s glory will be your rear guard.
“Na kulang luk fah tolkowosyak oana kalmen faht in lotutang, ac kinet keiwos ac fah sa in mahla. Nga fah wi kowos pacl nukewa in moli kowos. Ac nga fah loangekowos yen nukewa.
9 Then you will call, and Yahweh will answer. You will cry for help, and he will say, ‘Here I am.’ “If you take away from among you the yoke, finger pointing, and speaking wickedly;
Pacl kowos pre, nga fah topuk kowos. Pacl kowos pang nu sik, nga fah lohng kowos. “Kowos fin tulokinya ma upa kowos sang akkeokye mwet, ac tia sifil aklusrongtenye mwet, ku fahk kas in pirakak lain mwet,
10 and if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday;
ac kowos fin kite mwet masrinsral, ac kasrelos su muta in enenu, na lohsr su apinkowosla fah ekla oana kalmen faht ke infulwen len.
11 and Yahweh will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.
Na nga fah kol kowos pacl nukewa, ac akfalye mwe enenu lowos ke kowos fahsr yen mwesis. Nga fah akkeye kowos ac oru kowos in ku na. Kowos ac fah oana sie ima yohk kof we, oana sie unon in kof ma tiana mihnla.
12 Those who will be of you will build the old waste places. You will raise up the foundations of many generations. You will be called Repairer of the Breach, Restorer of Paths with Dwellings.
Mwet lowos fah sifil musaela lohm ma musalla pacl na loeloes. Musa sacn ac orek fin pwelung meet ah. Ac fah eteyuk mu kowos mwet su sifilpa musaeak pot lun siti uh, ac sifil tulokunak lohm ma tuh musalla ah.”
13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on my holy day, and call the Sabbath a delight, and the holy of Yahweh honorable, and honor it, not doing your own ways, nor finding your own pleasure, nor speaking your own words,
LEUM GOD El fahk, “Kowos fin oru len Sabbath in sie len mutal, ac tia ukwe lungse lowos sifacna ke len sac; kowos fin saokkin len mutal luk, ac akfulatye ke kowos tia fufahsryesr loes, ku orekma, ac tia fahk kas lusrongten ke len sac,
14 then you will delight yourself in Yahweh, and I will make you to ride on the high places of the earth, and I will feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father;” for Yahweh’s mouth has spoken it.
