Hebrews 1
1 God, having in the past spoken to the fathers through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
Après avoir autrefois parlé à nos pères, à plusieurs reprises et de plusieurs manières, par les prophètes,
2 has at the end of these days spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds. (aiōn g165)
Dieu nous a parlé dans ces derniers temps par le Fils, celui qu'il a établi héritier de toutes choses et par lequel il a fait le monde, (aiōn g165)
3 His Son is the radiance of his glory, the very image of his substance, and upholding all things by the word of his power, who, when he had by himself purified us of our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high,
celui qui, étant le rayonnement de sa gloire, l'empreinte même de sa personne, soutient toutes choses par sa parole puissante, et qui, après avoir accompli la purification des péchés, s'est assis à la droite de la majesté divine dans les lieux très hauts:
4 having become as much better than the angels as the more excellent name he has inherited is better than theirs.
aussi est-il devenu d'autant supérieur aux anges, qu'il a hérité d'un nom plus éminent que le leur.
5 For to which of the angels did he say at any time, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father?” and again, “I will be to him a Father, and he will be to me a Son?”
Auquel des anges, en effet, Dieu a-t-il jamais dit: «Tu es mon Fils, je t'ai engendré aujourd'hui»? Et encore: «Je serai son Père, et il sera mon Fils»?
6 When he again brings in the firstborn into the world he says, “Let all the angels of God worship him.”
Et, quand il introduit dans le monde son Fils premier-né, il dit encore: «Que tous les anges de Dieu l'adorent!»
7 Of the angels he says, “He makes his angels winds, and his servants a flame of fire.”
A l'égard des anges, il dit: «Il fait de ses anges des vents, et de ses serviteurs une flamme de feu.»
8 But of the Son he says, “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever. The scepter of uprightness is the scepter of your Kingdom. (aiōn g165)
Mais il a dit à l'égard du Fils: «Dieu, ton trône demeure aux siècles des siècles, et le sceptre de ta royauté est un sceptre d'équité. (aiōn g165)
9 You have loved righteousness and hated iniquity; therefore God, your God, has anointed you with the oil of gladness above your fellows.”
Tu as aimé la justice, et haï l'iniquité; c'est pourquoi, ô Dieu, ton Dieu t'a oint d'une huile de joie, de préférence à tes pareils»
10 And, “You, Lord, in the beginning, laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the works of your hands.
Et ailleurs: «C'est toi, Seigneur, qui, au commencement, as fondé la terre; et les cieux sont l'oeuvre de tes mains.
11 They will perish, but you continue. They all will grow old like a garment does.
Ils périront, mais toi, tu subsistes! Ils vieilliront tous comme un vêtement.
12 You will roll them up like a mantle, and they will be changed; but you are the same. Your years won’t fail.”
Tu les rouleras comme un manteau, et ils seront transformés; mais toi, tu restes le même, et tes années ne finiront point.»
13 But which of the angels has he told at any time, “Sit at my right hand, until I make your enemies the footstool of your feet?”
Auquel des anges Dieu a-t-il jamais dit: «Assieds-toi à ma droite, jusqu'à ce que j'aie mis tes ennemis sous tes pieds, pour te servir de marchepied»?
14 Aren’t they all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation?
Les anges ne sont-ils pas tous des esprits au service de Dieu, envoyés par lui pour exercer un ministère en faveur de ceux qui doivent recevoir en héritage le salut?
