Hebrews 7
1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of God Most High, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him,
Porque este Melchisedec era rei de Salém, sacerdote do Deus altíssimo, o qual saiu ao encontro de Abraão, quando ele regressava da matança dos reis, e o abençoou:
2 to whom also Abraham divided a tenth part of all (being first, by interpretation, “king of righteousness”, and then also “king of Salem”, which means “king of peace”,
Ao qual também Abraão deu o dízimo de tudo; e primeiramente interpreta-se rei de justiça, e depois também rei de Salém, que é rei de paz,
3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God), remains a priest continually.
Sem pai, sem mãe, sem genealogia, não tendo princípio de dias nem fim de vida, mas sendo feito semelhante ao Filho de Deus, permanece sacerdote para sempre:
4 Now consider how great this man was, to whom even Abraham the patriarch gave a tenth out of the best plunder.
Considerai pois quão grande era este, a quem até o patriarcha Abraão deu os dízimos dos despojos.
5 They indeed of the sons of Levi who receive the priest’s office have a commandment to take tithes from the people according to the law, that is, of their brothers, though these have come out of the body of Abraham,
E os que dentre os filhos de Levi recebem o sacerdócio tem preceito, segundo a lei, de tomar o dízimo do povo, isto é, de seus irmãos, ainda que tenham saído dos lombos de Abraão.
6 but he whose genealogy is not counted from them has accepted tithes from Abraham, and has blessed him who has the promises.
Mas aquele cuja genealogia não é contada entre eles tomou dízimos de Abraão, e abençoou o que tinha as promessas.
7 But without any dispute the lesser is blessed by the greater.
Ora, sem contradição alguma, o menor é abençoado pelo maior.
8 Here people who die receive tithes, but there one receives tithes of whom it is testified that he lives.
E aqui certamente tomam dízimos homens que morrem: ali, porém, aquele de quem se testifica que vive.
9 We can say that through Abraham even Levi, who receives tithes, has paid tithes,
E, para assim dizer, também Levi, que toma os dízimos, foi dizimado em Abraão.
10 for he was yet in the body of his father when Melchizedek met him.
Porque ainda ele estava nos lombos do pai quando Melchisedec lhe saiu ao encontro.
11 Now if perfection was through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people have received the law), what further need was there for another priest to arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
De sorte que, se a perfeição fosse pelo sacerdócio levítico (porque debaixo dele o povo recebeu a lei), que necessidade havia logo de que outro sacerdote se levantasse, segundo a ordem de Melchisedec, e não fosse chamado segundo a ordem de Aarão?
12 For the priesthood being changed, there is of necessity a change made also in the law.
Porque, mudando-se o sacerdócio, necessariamente se faz também mudança da lei.
13 For he of whom these things are said belongs to another tribe, from which no one has officiated at the altar.
Porque aquele de quem estas coisas se dizem pertence a outra tribo, da qual ninguém serviu ao altar,
14 For it is evident that our Lord has sprung out of Judah, about which tribe Moses spoke nothing concerning priesthood.
Visto ser manifesto que nosso Senhor procedeu de Judá, sobre a qual tribo nunca Moisés falou de sacerdócio.
15 This is yet more abundantly evident, if after the likeness of Melchizedek there arises another priest,
E muito mais manifesto é ainda se à semelhança de Melchisedec se levantar outro sacerdote,
16 who has been made, not after the law of a fleshly commandment, but after the power of an endless life;
O qual não foi feito segundo a lei do mandamento carnal, mas segundo a virtude da vida incorruptível.
17 for it is testified, “You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn g165)
Porque assim testifica dele: Tu és sacerdote eternamente, segundo a ordem de Melchisedec. (aiōn g165)
18 For there is an annulling of a foregoing commandment because of its weakness and uselessness
Porque o precedente mandamento abroga-se por causa da sua fraqueza e inutilidade
19 (for the law made nothing perfect), and a bringing in of a better hope, through which we draw near to God.
(Porque a lei nenhuma coisa aperfeiçoou) e a introdução de uma melhor esperança, pela qual chegamos a Deus.
20 Inasmuch as he was not made priest without the taking of an oath
E porquanto não foi feito sem juramento (porque certamente aqueles sem juramento foram feitos sacerdotes,
21 (for they indeed have been made priests without an oath), but he with an oath by him that says of him, “The Lord swore and will not change his mind, ‘You are a priest forever, according to the order of Melchizedek.’” (aiōn g165)
Mas este com juramento, por aquele que lhe disse: Jurou o Senhor, e não se arrependerá: Tu és sacerdote eternamente, segundo a ordem de Melchisedec), (aiōn g165)
22 By so much, Jesus has become the guarantee of a better covenant.
De tanto melhor concerto Jesus foi feito fiador.
23 Many, indeed, have been made priests, because they are hindered from continuing by death.
E, na verdade, aqueles foram feitos sacerdotes em grande número, porquanto pela morte foram impedidos de permanecer,
Mas este, porque permanece eternamente, tem um sacerdócio perpétuo. (aiōn g165)
25 Therefore he is also able to save to the uttermost those who draw near to God through him, seeing that he lives forever to make intercession for them.
Portanto, pode também salvar perfeitamente aos que por ele se chegam a Deus, vivendo sempre para interceder por eles.
26 For such a high priest was fitting for us: holy, guiltless, undefiled, separated from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;
Porque nos convinha tal sumo sacerdote, santo, inocente, imaculado, separado dos pecadores, e feito mais sublime do que os céus;
27 who doesn’t need, like those high priests, to offer up sacrifices daily, first for his own sins, and then for the sins of the people. For he did this once for all, when he offered up himself.
Que não necessitasse, como os sumos sacerdotes, de oferecer cada dia sacrifícios, primeiramente por seus próprios pecados, e depois pelos do povo; porque isto fez ele, uma vez, oferecendo-se a si mesmo.
28 For the law appoints men as high priests who have weakness, but the word of the oath, which came after the law, appoints a Son forever who has been perfected. (aiōn g165)
Porque a lei constitui sumos sacerdotes a homens fracos, mas a palavra do juramento, que veio depois da lei, constitui ao Filho, que para sempre foi aperfeiçoado. (aiōn g165)
