Hebrews 5

1 For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.

१प्रत्येक यहूदी महायाजकाची निवड लोकांमधून होते आणि लोकांच्या वतीने त्यांच्या पापांसाठी यज्ञ व दाने ही दोन्ही देवाला अर्पावी, त्या कामाकरता महायाजक नेमलेला असतो.

2 The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.

२जे चुका करतात व जे अज्ञानी आहेत, त्यांच्याशी प्रत्येक मुख्य याजक सौम्यपणे वागू शकतो कारण तो स्वतः दुर्बल असतो.

3 Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.

३आणि त्या दुर्बलपणामुळे त्याने त्याच्या पापांसाठी तसेच लोकांच्या पापांसाठी अर्पणे केलीच पाहिजेत.

4 Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.

४आणि कोणीही मुख्य याजकपणाचा बहुमान स्वतःच्या पुढाकाराने घेत नसतो, तर अहरोनाला होते तसे त्यालाही देवाचे पाचारण असणे आवश्यक असते.

5 So also Christ didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”

५त्याचप्रमाणे, ख्रिस्ताने महायाजक होण्याचा गौरव स्वतःहून आपणावर घेतले नाही, परंतु देव ख्रिस्ताला म्हणाला, “तू माझा पुत्र आहेस आज मी तुला जन्म दिला आहे.”

6 As he says also in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.” (aiōn g165)

६दुसऱ्या शास्त्रभागात तो असे म्हणतो, “मलकीसदेकाच्या संप्रदायाप्रमाणे तू युगानुयुग याजक आहेस.” (aiōn g165)

7 He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,

७येशूने आपल्या देहाच्या दिवसात देवाकडे मोठ्याने ओरडून आणि रडून प्रार्थना व विनंत्या केल्या. जो देव त्यास मृत्युपासून वाचवू शकत होता आणि देवाविषयीच्या त्याच्या सदभक्तीमुळे येशूच्या प्रार्थना ऐकण्यात आल्या.

8 though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.

८जरी तो देवाचा पुत्र होता, तरी त्याने जे दुःख सोसले त्यापासून तो आज्ञाधारकपणा शिकला.

9 Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation, (aiōnios g166)

९आणि नंतर त्यास परिपूर्ण केल्यावर. जे त्याच्या आज्ञा पाळतात त्यांच्यासाठी सार्वकालिक तारणाकर्ता तो झाला (aiōnios g166)

10 named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.

१०व मलकीसदेकाच्या संप्रदायास अनुसरून देवाकडून तो महायाजक म्हणून नियुक्त झाला.

11 About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.

११याविषयी सांगण्यासारखे पुष्कळ आहे, पण तुम्हास ते स्पष्ट करणे कठीण आहे कारण तुम्ही ऐकण्यात खूप मंद झाला आहात.

12 For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the revelations of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.

१२आतापर्यंत तुम्ही शिक्षक व्हायला हवे होते, तरी देवाच्या शिक्षणाचे प्राथमिक धडे पुन्हा तुम्हास कोणीतरी शिकविण्याची गरज आहे. तुम्हास दुधाची गरज आहे, जड अन्नाची नाही असे तुम्ही झाला आहात.

13 For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.

१३कारण जो कोणी अजून दुधावरच राहतो तो नीतिमत्त्वाच्या वचनाशी पोक्त नाही कारण अजून तो बाळच आहे.

14 But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

१४परंतु ज्यांच्या ज्ञानेद्रियांना वहिवाटीने चांगले आणि वाईट पारख करण्याचा सराव झाला आहे अशा प्रौढांसाठी जड अन्न आहे.
