Hebrews 13
1 Let brotherly love continue.
兄弟愛をいつも持っていなさい。
2 Don’t forget to show hospitality to strangers, for in doing so, some have entertained angels without knowing it.
旅人をもてなすことを忘れてはいけません。こうして、ある人々は御使いたちを、それとは知らずにもてなしました。
3 Remember those who are in bonds, as bound with them, and those who are ill-treated, since you are also in the body.
牢につながれている人々を、自分も牢にいる気持ちで思いやり、また、自分も肉体を持っているのですから、苦しめられている人々を思いやりなさい。
4 Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.
結婚がすべての人に尊ばれるようにしなさい。寝床を汚してはいけません。なぜなら、神は不品行な者と姦淫を行なう者とをさばかれるからです。
5 Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
金銭を愛する生活をしてはいけません。いま持っているもので満足しなさい。主ご自身がこう言われるのです。「わたしは決してあなたを離れず、また、あなたを捨てない。」
6 So that with good courage we say, “The Lord is my helper. I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
そこで、私たちは確信に満ちてこう言います。 「主は私の助け手です。私は恐れません。 人間が、私に対して何ができましょう。」
7 Remember your leaders, men who spoke to you the word of God, and considering the results of their conduct, imitate their faith.
神のみことばをあなたがたに話した指導者たちのことを、思い出しなさい。彼らの生活の結末をよく見て、その信仰にならいなさい。
イエス・キリストは、きのうもきょうも、いつまでも、同じです。 (aiōn g165)
9 Don’t be carried away by various and strange teachings, for it is good that the heart be established by grace, not by foods, through which those who were so occupied were not benefited.
さまざまの異なった教えによって迷わされてはなりません。食物によってではなく、恵みによって心を強めるのは良いことです。食物に気を取られた者は益を得ませんでした。
10 We have an altar from which those who serve the holy tabernacle have no right to eat.
私たちには一つの祭壇があります。幕屋で仕える者たちには、この祭壇から食べる権利がありません。
11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the holy place by the high priest as an offering for sin, are burned outside of the camp.
動物の血は、罪のための供え物として、大祭司によって聖所の中まで持って行かれますが、からだは宿営の外で焼かれるからです。
12 Therefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people through his own blood, suffered outside of the gate.
ですから、イエスも、ご自分の血によって民をきよめるために、門の外で苦しみを受けられました。
13 Let’s therefore go out to him outside of the camp, bearing his reproach.
ですから、私たちは、キリストのはずかしめを身に負って、宿営の外に出て、みもとに行こうではありませんか。
14 For we don’t have here an enduring city, but we seek that which is to come.
私たちは、この地上に永遠の都を持っているのではなく、むしろ後に来ようとしている都を求めているのです。
15 Through him, then, let’s offer up a sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of lips which proclaim allegiance to his name.
ですから、私たちはキリストを通して、賛美のいけにえ、すなわち御名をたたえるくちびるの果実を、神に絶えずささげようではありませんか。
16 But don’t forget to be doing good and sharing, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
善を行なうことと、持ち物を人に分けることとを怠ってはいけません。神はこのようないけにえを喜ばれるからです。
17 Obey your leaders and submit to them, for they watch on behalf of your souls, as those who will give account, that they may do this with joy and not with groaning, for that would be unprofitable for you.
あなたがたの指導者たちの言うことを聞き、また服従しなさい。この人々は神に弁明する者であって、あなたがたのたましいのために見張りをしているのです。ですから、この人たちが喜んでそのことをし、嘆いてすることにならないようにしなさい。そうでないと、あなたがたの益にならないからです。
18 Pray for us, for we are persuaded that we have a good conscience, desiring to live honorably in all things.
私たちのために祈ってください。私たちは、正しい良心を持っていると確信しており、何事についても正しく行動しようと願っているからです。
19 I strongly urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you sooner.
また、もっと祈ってくださるよう特にお願いします。それだけ、私があなたがたのところに早く帰れるようになるからです。
20 Now may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great shepherd of the sheep with the blood of an eternal covenant, our Lord Jesus, (aiōnios g166)
永遠の契約の血による羊の大牧者、私たちの主イエスを死者の中から導き出された平和の神が、 (aiōnios g166)
21 make you complete in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
イエス・キリストにより、御前でみこころにかなうことを私たちのうちに行ない、あなたがたがみこころを行なうことができるために、すべての良いことについて、あなたがたを完全な者としてくださいますように。どうか、キリストに栄光が世々限りなくありますように。アーメン。 (aiōn g165)
22 But I exhort you, brothers, endure the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words.
兄弟たち。このような勧めのことばを受けてください。私はただ手短に書きました。
23 Know that our brother Timothy has been freed, with whom, if he comes shortly, I will see you.
私たちの兄弟テモテが釈放されたことをお知らせします。もし彼が早く来れば、私は彼といっしょにあなたがたに会えるでしょう。
24 Greet all of your leaders and all the saints. The Italians greet you.
すべてのあなたがたの指導者たち、また、すべての聖徒たちによろしく言ってください。イタリヤから来た人たちが、あなたがたによろしくと言っています。
25 Grace be with you all. Amen.
恵みが、あなたがたすべてとともにありますように。
