Hebrews 10
1 For the law, having a shadow of the good to come, not the very image of the things, can never with the same sacrifices year by year, which they offer continually, make perfect those who draw near.
Zákon zajisté, maje stín budoucího dobrého, a ne sám obraz těch věcí, jednostejnými obětmi, kteréž po všecka léta obětují, nikdy nemůž přistupujících dokonalých učiniti.
2 Or else wouldn’t they have ceased to be offered, because the worshipers, having been once cleansed, would have had no more consciousness of sins?
Sic jinak zdaliž by již nepřestaly obětovány býti, proto že by již neměli žádného svědomí z hříchů ti, kteříž obětují, jsouce jednou očištěni?
3 But in those sacrifices there is a yearly reminder of sins.
Ale při těch obětech připomínání hříchů děje se každého roku.
4 For it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats should take away sins.
Neboť možné není, aby krev býků a kozlů shladila hříchy.
5 Therefore when he comes into the world, he says, “You didn’t desire sacrifice and offering, but you prepared a body for me.
Protož vcházeje na svět, dí: Oběti a daru nechtěl jsi, ale tělo jsi mi způsobil.
6 You had no pleasure in whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin.
Zápalných obětí, ani obětí za hřích jsi neoblíbil.
7 Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come (in the scroll of the book it is written of me) to do your will, O God.’”
Tehdy řekl jsem: Aj, jduť, (jakož v knihách psáno jest o mně, ) abych činil, ó Bože, vůli tvou.
8 Previously saying, “Sacrifices and offerings and whole burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin you didn’t desire, neither had pleasure in them” (those which are offered according to the law),
Pověděv napřed: Že oběti a daru, a zápalů, i obětí za hřích, (kteréž se podlé zákona obětují, ) nechtěl jsi, aniž jsi oblíbil,
9 then he has said, “Behold, I have come to do your will.” He takes away the first, that he may establish the second,
Tehdy řekl: Aj, jduť, abych činil, ó Bože, vůli tvou. Ruší první, aby druhé ustanovil.
10 by which will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
V kteréžto vůli posvěceni jsme skrze obětování těla Ježíše Krista jednou.
11 Every priest indeed stands day by day serving and offering often the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins,
A všeliký zajisté kněz přístojí, na každý den službu konaje, a jednostejné často obětuje oběti, kteréž nikdy nemohou odjíti hříchů.
12 but he, when he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God,
Ale tento, jednu obět obětovav za hříchy, vždycky sedí na pravici Boží,
13 from that time waiting until his enemies are made the footstool of his feet.
Již dále očekávaje, až by položeni byli nepřátelé jeho za podnož noh jeho.
14 For by one offering he has perfected forever those who are being sanctified.
Nebo jednou obětí dokonalé učinil na věky ty, kteříž posvěceni bývají.
15 The Holy Spirit also testifies to us, for after saying,
Svědčíť pak nám to i sám Duch svatý. Nebo prvé pověděv:
16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days,” says the Lord, “I will put my laws on their heart, I will also write them on their mind;” then he says,
Tatoť jest smlouva, kterouž učiním s nimi po těch dnech, praví Pán: Dám zákony své v srdce jejich, a na myslech jejich napíši je,
17 “I will remember their sins and their iniquities no more.”
A na hříchy jejich, i na nepravosti jejich nikoli nezpomenu více.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
Kdežť pak jest odpuštění jich, neníť více oběti za hřích.
19 Having therefore, brothers, boldness to enter into the holy place by the blood of Jesus,
Majíce tedy, bratří, plnou svobodu k vjití do svatyně skrze krev Ježíšovu,
20 by the way which he dedicated for us, a new and living way, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh,
(Tou cestou novou a živou, kterouž nám způsobil skrze oponu, to jest tělo své, )
21 and having a great priest over God’s house,
A kněze velikého nad domem Božím,
22 let’s draw near with a true heart in fullness of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and having our body washed with pure water,
Přistupmež s pravým srdcem, v plné jistotě víry, očištěná majíce srdce od svědomí zlého,
23 let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.
A umyté tělo vodou čistou, držmež nepochybné vyznání naděje; (nebo věrnýť jest ten, kterýž zaslíbil.)
24 Let’s consider how to provoke one another to love and good works,
A šetřme jedni druhých, k rozněcování se v lásce a dobrých skutcích,
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.
Neopouštějíce společného shromáždění svého, jako někteří obyčej mají, ale napomínajíce se, a to tím více, čímž více vidíte, že se ten den přibližuje.
26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remains no more a sacrifice for sins,
Nebo jestliže bychom dobrovolně hřešili po přijetí známosti pravdy, nezůstávalo by již oběti za hříchy,
27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and a fierceness of fire which will devour the adversaries.
Ale hrozné nějaké očekávání soudu, a ohně prudká pálivost, kterýž žráti má protivníky.
28 A man who disregards Moses’ law dies without compassion on the word of two or three witnesses.
Kdož by koli pohrdal zákonem Mojžíšovým, bez lítosti pode dvěma neb třmi svědky umírá.
29 How much worse punishment do you think he will be judged worthy of who has trodden under foot the Son of God, and has counted the blood of the covenant with which he was sanctified an unholy thing, and has insulted the Spirit of grace?
Což se vám zdá, čím přísnějšího trestání hoden jest ten, kdož by Syna Božího pošlapával, a krev smlouvy, kterouž byl posvěcen, za nehodnou drahého vážení by měl, a Duchu milosti potupu učinil?
30 For we know him who said, “Vengeance belongs to me. I will repay,” says the Lord. Again, “The Lord will judge his people.”
Známeť zajisté toho, jenž řekl: Mně pomsta, já odplatím, praví Pán. A opět: Pán souditi bude lid svůj.
31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
Hroznéť jest upadnouti v ruce Boha živého.
32 But remember the former days, in which, after you were enlightened, you endured a great struggle with sufferings:
Rozpomeňtež se pak na předešlé dny, v nichž osvíceni byvše, mnohý boj utrpení snášeli jste,
33 partly, being exposed to both reproaches and oppressions, and partly, becoming partakers with those who were treated so.
Buďto když jste byli i pohaněními i ssouženími jako divadlo učiněni, buďto účastníci učiněni byvše těch, kteříž tak zmítáni byli.
34 For you both had compassion on me in my chains and joyfully accepted the plundering of your possessions, knowing that you have for yourselves a better possession and an enduring one in the heavens.
Nebo i vězení mého čitelni jste byli, a rozchvátání statků svých s radostí jste strpěli, vědouce, že v sobě máte lepší zboží nebeské a trvanlivé.
35 Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward.
Protož nezamítejtež smělé doufanlivosti své, kteráž velikou má odplatu.
36 For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
Než potřebíť jest vám trpělivosti, abyste vůli Boží činíce, dosáhli zaslíbení.
37 “In a very little while, he who comes will come and will not wait.
Nebo ještě velmi, velmi maličko, a aj, ten, kterýž přijíti má, přijde, a nebudeť meškati,
38 But the righteous one will live by faith. If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him.”
Spravedlivý pak z víry živ bude. Pakli by se jinam obrátil, nezalibuje sobě duše má v něm.
39 But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.
Ale myť nejsme poběhlci k zahynutí, ale věřící k získání duše.
