Galatians 4
1 But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a bondservant, though he is lord of all,
അഹം വദാമി സമ്പദധികാരീ യാവദ് ബാലസ്തിഷ്ഠതി താവത് സർവ്വസ്വസ്യാധിപതിഃ സന്നപി സ ദാസാത് കേനാപി വിഷയേണ ന വിശിഷ്യതേ
2 but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed by the father.
കിന്തു പിത്രാ നിരൂപിതം സമയം യാവത് പാലകാനാം ധനാധ്യക്ഷാണാഞ്ച നിഘ്നസ്തിഷ്ഠതി|
3 So we also, when we were children, were held in bondage under the elemental principles of the world.
തദ്വദ് വയമപി ബാല്യകാലേ ദാസാ ഇവ സംസാരസ്യാക്ഷരമാലായാ അധീനാ ആസ്മഹേ|
4 But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law,
അനന്തരം സമയേ സമ്പൂർണതാം ഗതവതി വ്യവസ്ഥാധീനാനാം മോചനാർഥമ്
5 that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as children.
അസ്മാകം പുത്രത്വപ്രാപ്ത്യർഥഞ്ചേശ്വരഃ സ്ത്രിയാ ജാതം വ്യവസ്ഥായാ അധിനീഭൂതഞ്ച സ്വപുത്രം പ്രേഷിതവാൻ|
6 And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, “Abba, Father!”
യൂയം സന്താനാ അഭവത തത്കാരണാദ് ഈശ്വരഃ സ്വപുത്രസ്യാത്മാനാം യുഷ്മാകമ് അന്തഃകരണാനി പ്രഹിതവാൻ സ ചാത്മാ പിതഃ പിതരിത്യാഹ്വാനം കാരയതി|
7 So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.
അത ഇദാനീം യൂയം ന ദാസാഃ കിന്തുഃ സന്താനാ ഏവ തസ്മാത് സന്താനത്വാച്ച ഖ്രീഷ്ടേനേശ്വരീയസമ്പദധികാരിണോഽപ്യാധ്വേ|
8 However at that time, not knowing God, you were in bondage to those who by nature are not gods.
അപരഞ്ച പൂർവ്വം യൂയമ് ഈശ്വരം ന ജ്ഞാത്വാ യേ സ്വഭാവതോഽനീശ്വരാസ്തേഷാം ദാസത്വേഽതിഷ്ഠത|
9 But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles, to which you desire to be in bondage all over again?
ഇദാനീമ് ഈശ്വരം ജ്ഞാത്വാ യദി വേശ്വരേണ ജ്ഞാതാ യൂയം കഥം പുനസ്താനി വിഫലാനി തുച്ഛാനി ചാക്ഷരാണി പ്രതി പരാവർത്തിതും ശക്നുഥ? യൂയം കിം പുനസ്തേഷാം ദാസാ ഭവിതുമിച്ഛഥ?
10 You observe days, months, seasons, and years.
യൂയം ദിവസാൻ മാസാൻ തിഥീൻ സംവത്സരാംശ്ച സമ്മന്യധ്വേ|
11 I am afraid for you, that I might have wasted my labor for you.
യുഷ്മദർഥം മയാ യഃ പരിശ്രമോഽകാരി സ വിഫലോ ജാത ഇതി യുഷ്മാനധ്യഹം ബിഭേമി|
12 I beg you, brothers, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You did me no wrong,
ഹേ ഭ്രാതരഃ, അഹം യാദൃശോഽസ്മി യൂയമപി താദൃശാ ഭവതേതി പ്രാർഥയേ യതോഽഹമപി യുഷ്മത്തുല്യോഽഭവം യുഷ്മാഭി ർമമ കിമപി നാപരാദ്ധം|
13 but you know that because of weakness in the flesh I preached the Good News to you the first time.
പൂർവ്വമഹം കലേവരസ്യ ദൗർബ്ബല്യേന യുഷ്മാൻ സുസംവാദമ് അജ്ഞാപയമിതി യൂയം ജാനീഥ|
14 That which was a temptation to you in my flesh, you didn’t despise nor reject; but you received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus.
തദാനീം മമ പരീക്ഷകം ശാരീരക്ലേശം ദൃഷ്ട്വാ യൂയം മാമ് അവജ്ഞായ ഋതീയിതവന്തസ്തന്നഹി കിന്ത്വീശ്വരസ്യ ദൂതമിവ സാക്ഷാത് ഖ്രീഷ്ട യീശുമിവ വാ മാം ഗൃഹീതവന്തഃ|
15 What was the blessing you enjoyed? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.
അതസ്തദാനീം യുഷ്മാകം യാ ധന്യതാഭവത് സാ ക്ക ഗതാ? തദാനീം യൂയം യദി സ്വേഷാം നയനാന്യുത്പാട്യ മഹ്യം ദാതുമ് അശക്ഷ്യത തർഹി തദപ്യകരിഷ്യതേതി പ്രമാണമ് അഹം ദദാമി|
16 So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?
സാമ്പ്രതമഹം സത്യവാദിത്വാത് കിം യുഷ്മാകം രിപു ർജാതോഽസ്മി?
17 They zealously seek you in no good way. No, they desire to alienate you, that you may seek them.
തേ യുഷ്മത്കൃതേ സ്പർദ്ധന്തേ കിന്തു സാ സ്പർദ്ധാ കുത്സിതാ യതോ യൂയം താനധി യത് സ്പർദ്ധധ്വം തദർഥം തേ യുഷ്മാൻ പൃഥക് കർത്തുമ് ഇച്ഛന്തി|
18 But it is always good to be zealous in a good cause, and not only when I am present with you.
കേവലം യുഷ്മത്സമീപേ മമോപസ്ഥിതിസമയേ തന്നഹി, കിന്തു സർവ്വദൈവ ഭദ്രമധി സ്പർദ്ധനം ഭദ്രം|
19 My little children, of whom I am again in travail until Christ is formed in you—
ഹേ മമ ബാലകാഃ, യുഷ്മദന്ത ര്യാവത് ഖ്രീഷ്ടോ മൂർതിമാൻ ന ഭവതി താവദ് യുഷ്മത്കാരണാത് പുനഃ പ്രസവവേദനേവ മമ വേദനാ ജായതേ|
20 but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.
അഹമിദാനീം യുഷ്മാകം സന്നിധിം ഗത്വാ സ്വരാന്തരേണ യുഷ്മാൻ സമ്ഭാഷിതും കാമയേ യതോ യുഷ്മാനധി വ്യാകുലോഽസ്മി|
21 Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, don’t you listen to the law?
ഹേ വ്യവസ്ഥാധീനതാകാങ്ക്ഷിണഃ യൂയം കിം വ്യവസ്ഥായാ വചനം ന ഗൃഹ്ലീഥ?
22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the servant, and one by the free woman.
തന്മാം വദത| ലിഖിതമാസ്തേ, ഇബ്രാഹീമോ ദ്വൗ പുത്രാവാസാതേ തയോരേകോ ദാസ്യാം ദ്വിതീയശ്ച പത്ന്യാം ജാതഃ|
23 However, the son by the servant was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born through promise.
തയോ ര്യോ ദാസ്യാം ജാതഃ സ ശാരീരികനിയമേന ജജ്ഞേ യശ്ച പത്ന്യാം ജാതഃ സ പ്രതിജ്ഞയാ ജജ്ഞേ|
24 These things contain an allegory, for these are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children to bondage, which is Hagar.
ഇദമാഖ്യാനം ദൃഷ്ടന്തസ്വരൂപം| തേ ദ്വേ യോഷിതാവീശ്വരീയസന്ധീ തയോരേകാ സീനയപർവ്വതാദ് ഉത്പന്നാ ദാസജനയിത്രീ ച സാ തു ഹാജിരാ|
25 For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to the Jerusalem that exists now, for she is in bondage with her children.
യസ്മാദ് ഹാജിരാശബ്ദേനാരവദേശസ്ഥസീനയപർവ്വതോ ബോധ്യതേ, സാ ച വർത്തമാനായാ യിരൂശാലമ്പുര്യ്യാഃ സദൃശീ| യതഃ സ്വബാലൈഃ സഹിതാ സാ ദാസത്വ ആസ്തേ|
26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.
കിന്തു സ്വർഗീയാ യിരൂശാലമ്പുരീ പത്നീ സർവ്വേഷാമ് അസ്മാകം മാതാ ചാസ്തേ|
27 For it is written, “Rejoice, you barren who don’t bear. Break out and shout, you who don’t travail. For the desolate women have more children than her who has a husband.”
യാദൃശം ലിഖിതമ് ആസ്തേ, "വന്ധ്യേ സന്താനഹീനേ ത്വം സ്വരം ജയജയം കുരു| അപ്രസൂതേ ത്വയോല്ലാസോ ജയാശബ്ദശ്ച ഗീയതാം| യത ഏവ സനാഥായാ യോഷിതഃ സന്തതേ ർഗണാത്| അനാഥാ യാ ഭവേന്നാരീ തദപത്യാനി ഭൂരിശഃ|| "
28 Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are children of promise.
ഹേ ഭ്രാതൃഗണ, ഇമ്ഹാക് ഇവ വയം പ്രതിജ്ഞയാ ജാതാഃ സന്താനാഃ|
29 But as then, he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now.
കിന്തു തദാനീം ശാരീരികനിയമേന ജാതഃ പുത്രോ യദ്വദ് ആത്മികനിയമേന ജാതം പുത്രമ് ഉപാദ്രവത് തഥാധുനാപി|
30 However, what does the Scripture say? “Throw out the servant and her son, for the son of the servant will not inherit with the son of the free woman.”
കിന്തു ശാസ്ത്രേ കിം ലിഖിതം? "ത്വമ് ഇമാം ദാസീം തസ്യാഃ പുത്രഞ്ചാപസാരയ യത ഏഷ ദാസീപുത്രഃ പത്നീപുത്രേണ സമം നോത്തരാധികാരീ ഭവിയ്യതീതി| "
31 So then, brothers, we are not children of a servant, but of the free woman.
അതഏവ ഹേ ഭ്രാതരഃ, വയം ദാസ്യാഃ സന്താനാ ന ഭൂത്വാ പാത്ന്യാഃ സന്താനാ ഭവാമഃ|
