Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right.
Dítky poslouchejte rodičů svých v Pánu; neboť jest to spravedlivé.
2 “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise:
Cti otce svého i matku, (toť jest přikázaní první s zaslíbením, )
3 “that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”
Aby dobře bylo tobě, a abys byl dlouhověký na zemi.
4 You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.
A vy otcové nepopouzejte k hněvu dítek svých, ale vychovávejte je v cvičení a v napomínání Páně.
5 Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ,
Služebníci buďte poslušni pánů tělesných s bázní a s strachem, v sprostnosti srdce svého, jako Krista,
6 not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
Ne na oko sloužíce, jako ti, kteříž se lidem líbiti usilují, ale jako služebníci Kristovi, činíce vůli Boží z té duše,
7 with good will doing service as to the Lord and not to men,
S dobrou myslí sloužíce, jakožto Pánu, a ne lidem,
8 knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same good again from the Lord, whether he is bound or free.
Vědouce, že, což by koli jeden každý učinil dobrého, za to odplatu vzíti má ode Pána, buďto služebník, buďto svobodný.
9 You masters, do the same things to them, and give up threatening, knowing that he who is both their Master and yours is in heaven, and there is no partiality with him.
A vy páni též se tak mějte k nim, odpouštějíce pohrůžky, vědouce, že i vy také máte Pána svého v nebesích, a přijímání osob není u něho.
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.
Dále pak, bratří moji, posilňte se v Pánu a v moci síly jeho.
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Oblecte se v celé odění Boží, abyste mohli státi proti útokům ďábelským.
12 For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. (aiōn g165)
Neboť není bojování naše proti tělu a krvi, ale proti knížatstvu, proti mocnostem, proti světa pánům temností věku tohoto, proti duchovním zlostem vysoko. (aiōn g165)
13 Therefore put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
A protož vezměte celé odění Boží, abyste mohli odolati v den zlý, a všecko vykonajíce, státi.
14 Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness,
Stůjtež tedy, majíce podpásaná bedra svá pravdou, a oblečeni jsouce v pancíř spravedlnosti,
15 and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace,
A obuté majíce nohy v hotovost k evangelium pokoje,
16 above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
A zvláště pak vezmouce štít víry, kterýmž byste mohli všecky šípy ohnivé nešlechetníka toho uhasiti.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;
Lebku také spasení vezměte, i meč Ducha, jenž jest slovo Boží,
18 with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints.
Všelikou modlitbou a prosbou modléce se každého času v Duchu, a v tom bedliví jsouce se vší ustavičností a prošením za všecky svaté,
19 Pray for me, that utterance may be given to me in opening my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the Good News,
I za mne, aby mi dána byla řeč k otevření úst mých s smělou doufanlivostí, abych oznamoval tajemství evangelium,
20 for which I am an ambassador in chains; that in it I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak.
Pro něž úřad konám v řetězu, abych v něm směle mluvil, jakž mně mluviti náleží.
21 But that you also may know my affairs, how I am doing, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, will make known to you all things.
Abyste pak věděli i vy, co se se mnou děje, a co činím, všecko vám to oznámí Tychikus, milý bratr a věrný služebník v Pánu,
22 I have sent him to you for this very purpose, that you may know our state and that he may comfort your hearts.
Jehož jsem pro to samo k vám poslal, abyste věděli o našich věcech, a aby potěšil srdcí vašich.
23 Peace be to the brothers, and love with faith, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
Pokoj bratřím, a láska s věrou od Boha Otce a Pána Jezukrista.
24 Grace be with all those who love our Lord Jesus Christ with incorruptible love. Amen.
Milost Boží se všechněmi milujícími Pána našeho Jezukrista k neporušitelnosti. Amen.
