< Ephesians 2 >

1 You were made alive when you were dead in transgressions and sins,
Hayssafe kase hinttee, hintte nagaraanne hintte qohuwa gaason hayqqidayssata.
2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the children of disobedience. (aiōn g165)
He wode hintte ha alamiya iita ogiya kaallideta. Carkkuwa bolla de7iya ayyaana wolqqata halaqaasinne ha77ika Xoossaas kiitettonna asaa haariya ayyaanas kiitettideta. (aiōn g165)
3 We also all once lived among them in the lusts of our flesh, doing the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, even as the rest.
Nu ubbayka kase he asata giddon nu asho amuwaanne nu wozanaa sheniya kaallidi de7ida. Nukka harata mela nu medhetethan Xoossaa hanquwa ekkanaw de7eyssata.
4 But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us,
Shin Xoossaa gita maarotethaafenne nuus de7iya gita siiquwappe denddidayssan,
5 even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
hari attoshin nuuni nu qohuwan hayqqidi de7ishin Kiristtoosa baggara nuus de7o immis. Hintteka attiday Xoossaa aadho keehatethaana.
6 and raised us up with him, and made us to sit with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus,
Xoossay nuna Kiristtoosara issife hayqoppe denthidi salo sohuwan iyara issife wothis.
7 that in the ages to come he might show the exceeding riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus; (aiōn g165)
I hessa oothiday, Kiristtoos Yesuusa baggara nuus qonccisida ba keehatethaanne zawi baynna ba aadho keehatetha duretethaa yaana laythan nuna bessanaassa. (aiōn g165)
8 for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
Hintte aadho keehatethan ammanon attideta. Hessika, Xoossaa imotappe attin hintte ooson benttidabaa gidenna.
9 not of works, that no one would boast.
Oonikka ceeqettonna mela atotethay benttiday ooson gidenna.
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared before that we would walk in them.
Nuuni Xoossaa medhetethi; I nuus kasetidi giigisi wothida lo77o oosota oothana mela Kiristtoos Yesuusa baggara oorathi medhettida.
11 Therefore remember that once you, the Gentiles in the flesh, who are called “uncircumcision” by that which is called “circumcision” (in the flesh, made by hands),
Hessa gisho, hinttenoo yeletan Ayhude gidonnayssato, Ayhudeti banttaw asa kushen qaxxarettidi, hinttena qassi qaxxarettiboonayssata gidi xeegeyssa akeekite.
12 that you were at that time separate from Christ, alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of the promise, having no hope and without God in the world.
He wode hintte Kiristtoosappe shaaketti de7idayssa, Isra7eele asaas allaga gididi de7idayssa, Xoossaa ufayssa qaalappe haakkidi de7idayssanne ha alamiyan ufayssinne Xoossi baynna de7idayssa akeekite.
13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off are made near in the blood of Christ.
Shin hintte kase haakkidi de7idayssati, ha77i Kiristtoos Yesuusan de7idi Kiristtoosa suuthan mata shiiqideta.
14 For he is our peace, who made both one, and broke down the middle wall of separation,
Kiristtoosi nu sarotethaa; I Ayhudenne Ayhude gidonna asaa timidi, nam77aa shaakki wothida morkketetha godaa laallis.
15 having abolished in his flesh the hostility, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, that he might create in himself one new man of the two, making peace,
I banan ha nam77u zaretappe issi ooratha ase medhdhidi, higgiya iya kiitaranne wogatara issife ba asatethan dhayssidi sarotethi immis.
16 and might reconcile them both in one body to God through the cross, having killed the hostility through it.
Kiristtoosi masqaliya bolla hayqqidi morkketethaa dhayssis; qassi nam77u zareta issi asatethi oothidi Xoossaara sigethis.
17 He came and preached peace to you who were far off and to those who were near.
Kiristtoosi yidi, Xoossaafe haakkidi de7iya hinttew, qassi mati de7iya enttaw sarotetha Wonggelaa odis.
18 For through him we both have our access in one Spirit to the Father.
Nu ubbay iya baggara issi Ayyaanan Aawa sinthe shiiqanaw dandda7os.
19 So then you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and of the household of God,
Hizappe hintte allaga woykko imathe gidekketa, shin hintte ha77i geeshshata biittaa asinne Xoossaa soo asi.
20 being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the chief cornerstone;
Hintte hawaaretinne nabeti baasida baasuwa bolla keexettideta. Godaa xaphuwa minthiya shuchchay Kiristtoos Yesuusa.
21 in whom the whole building, fitted together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord;
Iyan keetha ubbay issife oykettidi Godan geeshsha Xoossa keethi gidanaw diccees.
22 in whom you also are built together for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
Hintte qassi Xoossay ba Ayyaanan de7iya keethi gidanaw Kiristtoosan issife keexetteta.
