Acts 24
1 After five days, the high priest, Ananias, came down with certain elders and an orator, one Tertullus. They informed the governor against Paul.
১পাঁচ দিনৰ মূৰত, মহা-পুৰোহিত অননিয়ই কেইজনমান পৰিচাৰক আৰু তৰ্ত্তুল্ল নামেৰে এজন উকীলে সৈতে আহি দেশাধিপতিৰ আগত পৌলৰ বিৰুদ্ধে অভিযোগ দিলে।
2 When he was called, Tertullus began to accuse him, saying, “Seeing that by you we enjoy much peace, and that prosperity is coming to this nation by your foresight,
২তাৰ পাছত পৌল দেশাধিপতিৰ আগত অাহি থিয় হ’ল, তৰ্ত্তুল্লই তেওঁক দোষাৰোপ কৰিবলৈ ধৰিলে আৰু দেশাধিপতিক ক’লে, “হে মহামহিম ফীলিক্স, আপোনাৰ দ্বাৰাই আমি মহাশান্তি ভোগ কৰিছোঁ আৰু আপোনাৰ দুৰদর্শিতাই আমাৰ জাতিলৈ অনেক উন্নতি সাধন কৰিছে,
3 we accept it in all ways and in all places, most excellent Felix, with all thankfulness.
৩সকলোৱে ইয়াক সম্পূৰ্ণ কৃতজ্ঞতাৰে স্বীকাৰ কৰিছোঁ।
4 But that I don’t delay you, I entreat you to bear with us and hear a few words.
৪গতিকে আপোনাৰ অধিক সময় আমি যেন নলওঁ, এই কাৰণে নিবেদন কৰোঁ, আপুনি অনুগ্ৰহ কৰি নম্ৰ হৈ আমাৰ অলপ কথা শুনক।
5 For we have found this man to be a plague, an instigator of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.
৫কিয়নো আমি দেখিবলৈ পালোঁ, যে এই মানুহটো মহামাৰী স্বৰূপ আৰু গোটেই জগত নিবাসী ইহুদী সকলৰ মাজত ৰাজদ্ৰোহ কৰাওঁতা আৰু নাচৰতীয়া সকলৰ দলৰ অগ্ৰণী৷
6 He even tried to profane the temple, and we arrested him.
৬ইয়াৰ বাহিৰেও, ই মন্দিৰ অশুচি কৰিবলৈ চেষ্টা কৰিছিল; সেই বাবে আমি তাক আটক কৰি ৰাখিলোঁ।
৭কিন্তু প্ৰধান সেনাপতি লুচিয় আহি বৰ বলেৰে আমাৰ হাতৰ পৰা পৌলক কাঢ়ি আনিলে৷
8 By examining him yourself you may ascertain all these things of which we accuse him.”
৮আপুনি যেতিয়া সোধ-বিচাৰত পৌলক প্ৰশ্ন কৰিব, তেতিয়া আমি যি যি অপবাদ এওঁক দিছোঁ, সেই বিষয়ে সকলো বুজিব পাৰিব৷”
9 The Jews also joined in the attack, affirming that these things were so.
৯তাতে ইহুদী সকলেও একেলগ হৈ পৌলক দোষাৰোপ কৰিলে আৰু এইবোৰ কথা সঁচা বুলি ক’লে।
10 When the governor had beckoned to him to speak, Paul answered, “Because I know that you have been a judge of this nation for many years, I cheerfully make my defense,
১০পাছত দেশাধিপতিয়ে পৌলক ক’বলৈ সঙ্কেত দিয়াত, পৌলে ক’বলৈ আৰম্ভ কৰিলে, “আপুনি অনেক বছৰৰ পৰা এই জাতিৰ বিচাৰকৰ্তা হৈ আছে, ইয়াকে জানি মই হৰ্ষিত মনেৰে নিজৰ পক্ষে উত্তৰ দিব খুজিছোঁ৷
11 seeing that you can verify that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem.
১১কাৰণ অনুসন্ধান কৰিলে আপুনি জানিব পাৰিব যে, মই ভজনা কৰিবলৈ যিৰূচালেমলৈ যোৱা আজি বাৰ দিন মাথোন হৈছে;
12 In the temple they didn’t find me disputing with anyone or stirring up a crowd, either in the synagogues or in the city.
১২তাত এওঁলোকে মন্দিৰত বা নাম-ঘৰত বা নগৰতেই হওক, কোনো ব্যক্তিৰ সৈতে মোক বাদ-বিচাৰ বা লোক সকলক উচটাই উত্তেজিত কৰি অশান্তি সৃষ্টি কৰাও কোনেও দেখা নাই;
13 Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.
১৩আৰু এতিয়া যি যি অপবাদ মোক দিছে, এই বিষয়ে একো প্ৰমাণ আপোনাৰ আগত দিব নোৱাৰে।
14 But this I confess to you, that according to the Way, which they call a sect, so I serve the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets;
১৪কিন্তু আপোনাৰ আগত মই ইয়াকে স্বীকাৰ কৰোঁ যে, বিধান-শাস্ত্ৰত লিখাৰ দৰে সকলো কথা পালন কৰি, এখেত সকলে যি পথক বিধৰ্ম বোলে, সেই পথ অনুসাৰে মই ওপৰ-পুৰুষ সকলৰ ঈশ্বৰৰ আৰাধনা কৰোঁ আৰু ভাববাদী সকলৰ পুস্তকত যি যি লিখা আছে, সেই সকলোকে বিশ্বাস কৰোঁ৷
15 having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.
১৫আৰু ধাৰ্মিক, অধার্মিক, এই দুবিধ লোকৰ পুনৰুত্থান হ’ব বুলি এখেত সকলে যি আশাৰে বাট চাই আছে, ঈশ্বৰত ময়ো সেই আশা কৰোঁ।
16 In this I also practice always having a conscience void of offense toward God and men.
১৬এই কাৰণে ঈশ্বৰলৈ আৰু মানুহলৈ নির্ব্বিঘ্নে বিবেক ৰক্ষা কৰিবলৈ ময়ো সদায় যত্ন কৰি আছোঁ।
17 Now after some years, I came to bring gifts for the needy to my nation, and offerings;
১৭এতিয়া কিছু বছৰৰ মূৰত মই নিজৰ জাতিৰ মানুহক দান আনি দিবৰ বাবে আৰু নৈবেদ্য উৎসর্গ কৰিবলৈ আহিছিলো।
18 amid which certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, not with a mob, nor with turmoil.
১৮এতিয়া সেই কার্যতেই এচিয়াৰ কিছুমান ইহুদী লোকেহে মোক যিৰূচালেম মন্দিৰত শুচিকৃত উৎসৱত পালে; মোৰ লগত আন কোনো ব্যক্তিও নাই, কিন্তু এখেত সকলেহে হুৰামুৰা লগালে।
19 They ought to have been here before you and to make accusation if they had anything against me.
১৯ইয়াৰ উপৰি মোৰ অহিতে যদি এখেত সকলৰ কোনো কথা আছিল, তেনেহলে আপোনাৰ ওচৰত ব্যক্তি সমূহে নিজে আহি গোচৰ দিব লাগিছিল।
20 Or else let these men themselves say what injustice they found in me when I stood before the council,
২০নতুবা, মই মহাসভাৰ আগত থিয় হৈ থাকোঁতে, এই একেই লোক সমূহে মোৰ কি দোষ পালে, সেই বিষয়ে এখেত সকলে নিজেই কোৱা উচিত আছিল;
21 unless it is for this one thing that I cried standing among them, ‘Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am being judged before you today!’”
২১নহলে এতিয়া যি বিষয়ৰ কথা মই আপোনালোকৰ আগত চিঞৰি কৈছোঁ, তেনেদৰে, ‘মৃতসকলৰ পুনৰুত্থান’ৰ বিষয়ে আজি আপোনালোকৰ আগত মোৰ সোধ-বিচাৰ হৈছে৷”
22 But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, “When Lysias, the commanding officer, comes down, I will decide your case.”
২২ফীলিক্সে সেই পথৰ বিষয়ে ভালকৈ জনা বাবে, সোধ-বিচাৰ স্থগিত ৰাখি তেওঁলোকক ক’লে, “লুচিয় হাজাৰৰ সেনাপতি যিৰূচালেমৰ পৰা আহিলে আপোনালোকৰ কথা সম্পূর্ণকৈ জানিব পাৰিম।”
23 He ordered the centurion that Paul should be kept in custody and should have some privileges, and not to forbid any of his friends to serve him or to visit him.
২৩পাছত পৌলক পহৰা দিবলৈ, কিন্তু মৰমেৰে আৰু সেৱা কৰিবলৈ অহা তেওঁৰ আত্মীয় সকলক নিষেধ নকৰিবলৈ তেওঁ এশৰ সেনাপতিক আজ্ঞা দিলে৷
24 After some days, Felix came with Drusilla his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul and heard him concerning the faith in Christ Jesus.
২৪কিছুদিনৰ পাছত ফীলিক্সে, দ্ৰুচিলা নামৰ তেওঁৰ ইহুদী ভার্যাৰ সৈতে আহি, পৌলক মতাই আনি, খ্ৰীষ্ট যীচুত যি বিশ্বাস, সেই বিষয়ে তেওঁৰ পৰা শুনিলে।
25 As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, “Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you.”
২৫তেওঁ ধাৰ্মিকতা, ইন্দ্ৰিয়-দমন, আৰু ভবিষ্যত সোধ-বিচাৰৰ বিষয়ে যুক্তি দেখুৱাওঁতে, ফীলিক্সে ত্ৰাসযুক্ত হৈ উত্তৰ দিলে; “এতিয়া সম্প্ৰতি যোৱা; মই আজৰি পালে পাছত তোমাক মতাই আনিম৷”
26 Meanwhile, he also hoped that money would be given to him by Paul, that he might release him. Therefore also he sent for him more often and talked with him.
২৬আৰু পৌলে তেওঁক ধন দিব বুলি তেওঁ আশা কৰি, ঘনে ঘনে তেওঁক মতাই কথোপকথন কৰিলে।
27 But when two years were fulfilled, Felix was succeeded by Porcius Festus, and desiring to gain favor with the Jews, Felix left Paul in bonds.
২৭কিন্তু দুবছৰৰ মূৰত পৰ্কিয় ফীষ্টে ফীলিক্সৰ পদ পালে, তাতে ফীলিক্সে ইহুদী সকলৰ প্ৰিয়পাত্ৰ হবলৈ ইচ্ছা কৰি, তেওঁ পৌলক ৰখীয়াৰ অধীনত থৈ গ’ল৷
