2 Timothy 4
1 I command you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at his appearing and his Kingdom:
Je t'en conjure devant Dieu et devant Jésus-Christ, qui doit juger les vivants et les morts, et au nom de son avènement et de son règne:
2 preach the word; be urgent in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all patience and teaching.
prêche la parole, insiste en temps et hors de temps, reprends, exhorte, censure avec une grande patience, et sans jamais cesser d'instruire.
3 For the time will come when they will not listen to the sound doctrine, but having itching ears, will heap up for themselves teachers after their own lusts,
Car il viendra un temps où les hommes ne souffriront pas la saine doctrine; mais, ayant la démangeaison d'entendre des choses agréables, ils rassembleront autour d'eux des docteurs selon leurs propres désirs,
4 and will turn away their ears from the truth, and turn away to fables.
et ils fermeront l'oreille à la vérité pour se tourner vers des fables.
5 But you be sober in all things, suffer hardship, do the work of an evangelist, and fulfill your ministry.
Mais toi, sois sobre en toutes choses, endure la souffrance, fais l'oeuvre d'un évangéliste, acquitte-toi de tous les devoirs de ton ministère.
6 For I am already being offered, and the time of my departure has come.
Pour moi, je vais être immolé, et le temps de mon départ approche.
7 I have fought the good fight. I have finished the course. I have kept the faith.
J'ai combattu le bon combat, j'ai achevé la course, j'ai gardé la foi.
8 From now on, the crown of righteousness is stored up for me, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give to me on that day; and not to me only, but also to all those who have loved his appearing.
Et maintenant, la couronne de justice m'est réservée. Le Seigneur, juste juge, me la donnera en ce jour-là, et non seulement à moi, mais aussi à tous ceux qui auront aimé son avènement.
9 Be diligent to come to me soon,
Tâche de venir me rejoindre bientôt;
10 for Demas left me, having loved this present world, and went to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia; and Titus to Dalmatia. (aiōn g165)
car Démas m'a abandonné, ayant aimé le présent siècle, et il est parti pour Thessalonique. Crescens est allé en Galicie, et Tite en Dalmatie. (aiōn g165)
11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark and bring him with you, for he is useful to me for service.
Luc seul est avec moi. Prends Marc et amène-le avec toi, car il m'est fort utile pour le ministère.
12 But I sent Tychicus to Ephesus.
J'ai envoyé Tychique à Éphèse.
13 Bring the cloak that I left at Troas with Carpus when you come—and the books, especially the parchments.
Quand tu viendras, apporte le manteau que j'ai laissé à Troas chez Carpus, et les livres, surtout les parchemins.
14 Alexander the coppersmith did much evil to me. The Lord will repay him according to his deeds.
Alexandre, l'ouvrier en cuivre, m'a fait beaucoup de mal; le Seigneur lui rendra selon ses oeuvres.
15 Beware of him, for he greatly opposed our words.
Toi aussi, sois en garde contre lui; car il s'est fortement opposé à nos paroles.
16 At my first defense, no one came to help me, but all left me. May it not be held against them.
Dans ma première défense, personne ne m'a assisté; tous m'ont abandonné. Que cela ne leur soit pas imputé!
17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, that through me the message might be fully proclaimed, and that all the Gentiles might hear. So I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
Mais le Seigneur m'a assisté et m'a fortifié, afin que l'Évangile fût pleinement annoncé par moi et que tous les Païens l'entendissent; et j'ai été délivré de la gueule du lion.
18 And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and will preserve me for his heavenly Kingdom. To him be the glory forever and ever. Amen. (aiōn g165)
Le Seigneur me délivrera de tout mal et me sauvera dans son royaume céleste. A lui soit la gloire, aux siècles des siècles! Amen. (aiōn g165)
19 Greet Prisca and Aquila, and the house of Onesiphorus.

20 Erastus remained at Corinth, but I left Trophimus at Miletus sick.
Éraste est resté à Corinthe, et j'ai laissé Trophine malade à Milet.
21 Be diligent to come before winter. Eubulus salutes you, as do Pudens, Linus, Claudia, and all the brothers.
Tâche de venir avant l'hiver. Eubulus, Pudens, Linus, Claudia et tous les frères te saluent.
22 The Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Grace be with you. Amen.
