2 Kings 10

1 Now Ahab had seventy sons in Samaria. Jehu wrote letters and sent them to Samaria, to the rulers of Jezreel, even the elders, and to those who brought up Ahab’s sons, saying,

ಆಗ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹಾಬನಿಗೆ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಇದ್ದರು, ಯೇಹುವು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಊರಿನ ಪ್ರಧಾನರಿಗೂ ಹಿರಿಯರಿಗೂ ಅಹಾಬನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವವರಿಗೂ ಪತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆದು, ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದನು. ಅವನು,

2 “Now as soon as this letter comes to you, since your master’s sons are with you, and you have chariots and horses, a fortified city also, and armor,

“ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಪುತ್ರರು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ರಥಗಳು, ಕುದುರೆಗಳು, ಕೋಟೆಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಪಟ್ಟಣ, ಆಯುಧಗಳು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿವೆ. ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಈ ಪತ್ರವು ನಿಮಗೆ ತಲುಪಿದ ತಕ್ಷಣ,

3 select the best and fittest of your master’s sons, set him on his father’s throne, and fight for your master’s house.”

ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಪುತ್ರರಲ್ಲಿ ಉತ್ತಮನಾಗಿರುವ ಮತ್ತು ಸಮರ್ಥನಾಗಿರುವವನನ್ನು ಆರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ತಂದೆಯ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕೂರಿಸಿ, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರಿಗಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು.

4 But they were exceedingly afraid, and said, “Behold, the two kings didn’t stand before him! How then shall we stand?”

ಆದರೆ ಅವರು ತುಂಬಾ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು, “ಇಬ್ಬರೂ ಅರಸರು ಅವನ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಲ್ಲಲು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದಿದ್ದಾಗ, ನಾವು ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು ಹೇಗೆ?” ಎಂದರು.

5 He who was over the household, and he who was over the city, the elders also, and those who raised the children, sent to Jehu, saying, “We are your servants, and will do all that you ask us. We will not make any man king. You do that which is good in your eyes.”

ಆಗ ಅರಮನೆಯ ಆಡಳಿತಾಧಿಕಾರಿ, ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ರಾಜ್ಯಪಾಲರು, ಹಿರಿಯರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಲಕರು ಈ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿ, “ನಾವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕರು ನೀವು ನಮಗೆ ಹೇಳುವುದನ್ನೆಲ್ಲಾ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೇವೆ. ನಾವು ಯಾರನ್ನೂ ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿಮ್ಮ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಗೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದಾಗಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೀವು ಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದರು.

6 Then he wrote a letter the second time to them, saying, “If you are on my side, and if you will listen to my voice, take the heads of the men who are your master’s sons, and come to me to Jezreel by tomorrow this time.” Now the king’s sons, being seventy persons, were with the great men of the city, who brought them up.

ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವು ಅವರಿಗೆ ಎರಡನೆಯ ಸಾರಿ ಪತ್ರವನ್ನು ಬರೆದು, “ನೀವು ನನ್ನವರಾಗಿದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಮಾತು ಕೇಳುವವರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ, ನಾಳೆ ಇಷ್ಟು ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಪುತ್ರರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬನ್ನಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳಾದ ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಮನುಷ್ಯರು ಪಟ್ಟಣದ ಪ್ರಮುಖರ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು.

7 When the letter came to them, they took the king’s sons and killed them, even seventy people, and put their heads in baskets, and sent them to him to Jezreel.

ಈ ಪತ್ರವು ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದಾಗ, ಅವರು ರಾಜಪುತ್ರರನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು, ಎಪ್ಪತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು, ಅವರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ಪುಟ್ಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾಕಿ ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದರು.

8 A messenger came and told him, “They have brought the heads of the king’s sons.” He said, “Lay them in two heaps at the entrance of the gate until the morning.”

ಆಗ ಆ ಸೇವಕನು ಬಂದು ಯೇಹುವಿಗೆ, “ರಾಜಪುತ್ರರ ತಲೆಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿಸಿದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಯೇಹು, “ಉದಯಕಾಲದವರೆಗೂ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಬ್ಬಾಗಿಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಎರಡು ರಾಶಿಗಳಾಗಿ ಹಾಕಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಆಜ್ಞಾಪಿಸಿದನು.

9 In the morning, he went out and stood, and said to all the people, “You are righteous. Behold, I conspired against my master and killed him, but who killed all these?

ಮರುದಿನ ಬೆಳಿಗ್ಗೆ ಯೇಹು ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಂದು, ಸಕಲ ಜನರ ಮುಂದೆ ನಿಂತು, “ನೀವು ನಿರಪರಾಧಿಗಳು. ನಾನು ನನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನ ಮೇಲೆ ಒಳಸಂಚುಮಾಡಿ, ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದೆನು. ಆದರೆ ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದವರ‍್ಯಾರು?

10 Know now that nothing will fall to the earth of Yahweh’s word, which Yahweh spoke concerning Ahab’s house. For Yahweh has done that which he spoke by his servant Elijah.”

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಹೇಳಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಮಾತುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದೂ ವ್ಯರ್ಥವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲವೆಂದು ನೀವು ತಿಳಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳಿರಿ. ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಸೇವಕನಾದ ಎಲೀಯನ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ,” ಎಂದನು.

11 So Jehu struck all that remained of Ahab’s house in Jezreel, with all his great men, his familiar friends, and his priests, until he left him no one remaining.

ಈ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಯೇಹುವು ಇಜ್ರೆಯೇಲ್ ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಉಳಿದ ಅಹಾಬನ ಕುಟುಂಬದವರನ್ನೂ ಅವನ ಸರದಾರರು, ಆಪ್ತಮಿತ್ರರು, ಪುರೋಹಿತರು ಇವರನ್ನೂ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು; ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

12 He arose and departed, and went to Samaria. As he was at the shearing house of the shepherds on the way,

ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವು ಹೊರಟು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದನು. ಅವನು ಕುರುಬರ ಬೇತ್ ಎಕೆದ್ ಬಳಿ ಬಂದಾಗ,

13 Jehu met with the brothers of Ahaziah king of Judah, and said, “Who are you?” They answered, “We are the brothers of Ahaziah. We are going down to greet the children of the king and the children of the queen.”

ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಸಹೋದರರನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನೀವು ಯಾರು?” ಎಂದನು. ಅದಕ್ಕವರು, “ನಾವು ಅಹಜ್ಯನ ಸಹೋದರರು. ಅರಸನ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ, ರಾಣಿಯ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನೂ ವಂದಿಸಲು ಹೋಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದೇವೆ,” ಎಂದರು.

14 He said, “Take them alive!” They took them alive, and killed them at the pit of the shearing house, even forty-two men. He didn’t leave any of them.

ಆಗ ಅವನು, “ಅವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿಯಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಕುರುಬರು ಇವರನ್ನು ಜೀವದಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದು, ಉಣ್ಣೆ ಕತ್ತರಿಸುವ ಮನೆಯ ಬಾವಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಂದುಹಾಕಿದರು. ಅವರು ನಲವತ್ತೆರಡು ಮಂದಿ ಇದ್ದರು. ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನನ್ನಾದರೂ ಉಳಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ.

15 When he had departed from there, he met Jehonadab the son of Rechab coming to meet him. He greeted him, and said to him, “Is your heart right, as my heart is with your heart?” Jehonadab answered, “It is.” “If it is, give me your hand.” He gave him his hand; and he took him up to him into the chariot.

ಯೇಹುವು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೋಗಿ, ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಎದುರುಗೊಳ್ಳಲು ಬಂದ ರೇಕಾಬನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋನಾದಾಬನನ್ನು ಕಂಡು ಅವನನ್ನು ವಂದಿಸಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ, “ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಸಂಗಡ ಇರುವ ಹಾಗೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯವು ಯಥಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಇದೆಯೋ?” ಎಂದನು. ಯೆಹೋನಾದಾಬನು, “ಇದೆ,” ಎಂದನು. “ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈ ಕೊಡು,” ಎಂದನು. ಇವನು ತನ್ನ ಕೈ ಕೊಟ್ಟನು. ತನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ರಥದ ಮೇಲೆ ಹತ್ತಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವನಿಗೆ,

16 He said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for Yahweh.” So they made him ride in his chariot.

“ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ಸಂಗಡ ಬಂದು ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ನನಗುಂಟಾದ ಆಸಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡು,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿ ಅವನನ್ನು ತನ್ನ ರಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳ್ಳಿರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು.

17 When he came to Samaria, he struck all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, until he had destroyed them, according to Yahweh’s word which he spoke to Elijah.

ಯೇಹುವು ಸಮಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ ತರುವಾಯ ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಹಾಬನಿಗೆ ಉಳಿದವರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಎಲೀಯನಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ವಾಕ್ಯದ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.

18 Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little, but Jehu will serve him much.

ಯೇಹುವು ಜನರೆಲ್ಲರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿ ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ಅಹಾಬನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವಾಗಿ ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಯೇಹುವು ಅವನನ್ನು ಬಹಳವಾಗಿ ಸೇವಿಸುವನು.

19 Now therefore call to me all the prophets of Baal, all of his worshipers, and all of his priests. Let no one be absent, for I have a great sacrifice to Baal. Whoever is absent, he shall not live.” But Jehu did deceptively, intending to destroy the worshipers of Baal.

ಆದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬಾಳನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಪ್ರವಾದಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಸೇವಕರನ್ನೂ, ಅವನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಯಾಜಕರನ್ನೂ ನನ್ನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಕರೆಯಿರಿ. ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಬಾರದೆ ಇರಕೂಡದು. ನಾನು ಬಾಳನಿಗೆ ಮಹಾಬಲಿ ಕೊಡಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ. ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ಬಾರದೆ ಹೋದರೆ ಅವನು ಬದುಕನು,” ಎಂದನು. ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ಯೇಹುವು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವವರನ್ನು ನಾಶಮಾಡುವಂತೆ ಇದನ್ನು ತಂತ್ರದಿಂದ ಮಾಡಿದನು.

20 Jehu said, “Sanctify a solemn assembly for Baal!” So they proclaimed it.

ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವು, “ಬಾಳನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾರಿದರು.

21 Jehu sent through all Israel; and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left that didn’t come. They came into the house of Baal; and the house of Baal was filled from one end to another.

ಯೇಹುವು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲೆಲ್ಲಾ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಬಂದರು. ಬಾರದೆ ಇದ್ದವನು ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಬಾಳನ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದಾಗ, ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ಇನ್ನೊಂದು ಕಡೆಯವರೆಗೆ ಬಾಳನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನ ಪೂರ್ಣವಾಗಿ ತುಂಬಿತ್ತು.

22 He said to him who kept the wardrobe, “Bring out robes for all the worshipers of Baal!” So he brought robes out to them.

ಆಗ ಅವನು ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳ ಮನೆಯ ಮೇಲಧಿಕಾರಿಗೆ, “ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವ ಸಮಸ್ತರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಾ,” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ಅವನು ಅವರಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ವಸ್ತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಬಂದನು.

23 Jehu went with Jehonadab the son of Rechab into the house of Baal. Then he said to the worshipers of Baal, “Search, and see that none of the servants of Yahweh are here with you, but only the worshipers of Baal.”

ಆಗ ಯೇಹುವೂ, ರೇಕಾಬನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋನಾದಾಬನೂ ಬಾಳನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರು. ಯೇಹುವು, “ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವವರ ಹೊರತು ಅವರ ಸಂಗಡ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ಸೇವಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬನೂ ಇರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಪರಿಶೋಧಿಸಿ ನೋಡಿರಿ,” ಎಂದು ಬಾಳನನ್ನು ಸೇವಿಸುವವರಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿದನು.

24 So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men outside, and said, “If any of the men whom I bring into your hands escape, he who lets him go, his life shall be for the life of him.”

ಅವರು ಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ, ದಹನಬಲಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಲು ಒಳಗೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಯೇಹುವು ಹೊರಗೆ ಎಂಬತ್ತು ಮಂದಿಯನ್ನು ಇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅವರಿಗೆ, “ನಾನು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕೈಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಿಸಿದ ಮನುಷ್ಯರಲ್ಲಿ ಯಾವನಾದರೂ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಂಡುಹೋದರೆ, ಅವನ ಪ್ರಾಣಕ್ಕೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರಾಣ ಈಡಾಗಿರುವುದು,” ಎಂದನು.

25 As soon as he had finished offering the burnt offering, Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in and kill them! Let no one escape.” So they struck them with the edge of the sword. The guard and the captains threw the bodies out, and went to the inner shrine of the house of Baal.

ಅವನು ದಹನಬಲಿಯನ್ನು ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿ ತೀರಿಸಿದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಯೇಹುವು ಕಾವಲುಗಾರರಿಗೂ, ಅಧಿಪತಿಗಳಿಗೂ, “ನೀವು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಯಾವನೂ ಹೊರಗೆ ಬಾರದ ಹಾಗೆ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿರಿ,” ಎಂದನು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಅವರು ಒಳಗೆ ಹೋಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಖಡ್ಗದಿಂದ ಸಂಹರಿಸಿ ಅವರ ಶವಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊರಗೆ ಹಾಕಿದ ತರುವಾಯ, ಬಾಳನ ಗರ್ಭಗುಡಿಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ,

26 They brought out the pillars that were in the house of Baal and burned them.

ಬಾಳನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನದಿಂದ ವಿಗ್ರಹಗಳನ್ನು ತಂದು ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಸುಟ್ಟುಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

27 They broke down the pillar of Baal, and broke down the house of Baal, and made it a latrine, to this day.

ಇದಲ್ಲದೆ ಅವರು ಬಾಳನ ವಿಗ್ರಹವನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ಬಾಳನ ದೇವಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಕೆಡವಿಬಿಟ್ಟು, ಆ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಇಂದಿನವರೆಗೂ ಶೌಚಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಉಪಯೋಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.

28 Thus Jehu destroyed Baal out of Israel.

ಹೀಗೆಯೇ ಯೇಹುವು ಬಾಳನ ಪೂಜೆಯನ್ನು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಂದ ನಾಶಮಾಡಿಬಿಟ್ಟನು.

29 However, Jehu didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, with which he made Israel to sin—the golden calves that were in Bethel and that were in Dan.

ಆದರೆ ಬೇತೇಲಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ದಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇರುವ ಬಂಗಾರದ ಕರುಗಳಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ನೆಬಾಟನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ಯೇಹುವು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

30 Yahweh said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in executing that which is right in my eyes, and have done to Ahab’s house according to all that was in my heart, your descendants shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”

ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಯೇಹುವಿಗೆ, “ನೀನು ನನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸರಿಯಾದದ್ದನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿ ನನ್ನ ಮೆಚ್ಚಿಗೆಯನ್ನು ಪಡೆದೆ; ಅಹಾಬನ ಮನೆಯವರನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ನನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಎಲ್ಲದರ ಪ್ರಕಾರ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರಿಂದ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ನಾಲ್ಕನೆಯ ತಲೆಮಾರಿನವರೆಗೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಿಂಹಾಸನದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳುವರು,” ಎಂದರು.

31 But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of Yahweh, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He didn’t depart from the sins of Jeroboam, with which he made Israel to sin.

ಯೇಹುವು ತನ್ನ ಪೂರ್ಣಹೃದಯದಿಂದ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರ ನಿಯಮದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರನ್ನು ಪಾಪಮಾಡಲು ಪ್ರೇರೇಪಿಸಿದ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನ ಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.

32 In those days Yahweh began to cut away parts of Israel; and Hazael struck them in all the borders of Israel

ಆ ದಿವಸಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಯೆಹೋವ ದೇವರು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲನ್ನು ತಗ್ಗಿಸಲು ಆರಂಭಿಸಿದರು. ಹಜಾಯೇಲನು ಬಂದು ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಮೇರೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.

33 from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

ಪೂರ್ವದಲ್ಲಿ ಯೊರ್ದನ್ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಗಾದ್ಯರೂ, ರೂಬೇನ್ಯರೂ ನಿವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದಿನ ಸಮಸ್ತ ದೇಶವನ್ನೂ, ಅರ್ನೋನ್ ನದಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಅರೋಯೇರ್ ಮೊದಲುಗೊಂಡು ಮನಸ್ಸೆಯವರು ನಿವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಗಿಲ್ಯಾದ್ ಬಾಷಾನಿನಲ್ಲಿರುವವರನ್ನೂ ಹಜಾಯೇಲನು ಸಂಹರಿಸಿದನು.

34 Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, aren’t they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

ಯೇಹುವಿನ ಇತರ ಕ್ರಿಯೆಗಳೂ, ಅವನು ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೆಲ್ಲವೂ, ಅವನ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಅರಸರ ಇತಿಹಾಸಗಳ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಬರೆದಿರುತ್ತವೆ.

35 Jehu slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria. Jehoahaz his son reigned in his place.

ಯೇಹು ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳ ಜೊತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಶ್ರಾಂತಿ ಹೊಂದಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೂಳಿಟ್ಟರು. ಅವನ ಮಗ ಯೆಹೋವಾಹಾಜನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಅರಸನಾದನು.

36 The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.

ಯೇಹುವು ಸಮಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲಿನ ಮೇಲೆ ಆಳಿದ ಸಮಯ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆಂಟು ವರ್ಷಗಳು.
