1 Thessalonians 5
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you have no need that anything be written to you.
เห ภฺราตร: , กาลานฺ สมยำศฺจาธิ ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺรติ มม ลิขนํ นิษฺปฺรโยชนํ,
2 For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord comes like a thief in the night.
ยโต ราเตฺรา ยาทฺฤกฺ ตสฺกรสฺตาทฺฤกฺ ปฺรโภ รฺทินมฺ อุปสฺถาสฺยตีติ ยูยํ สฺวยเมว สมฺยคฺ ชานีถฯ
3 For when they are saying, “Peace and safety,” then sudden destruction will come on them, like birth pains on a pregnant woman. Then they will in no way escape.
ศานฺติ รฺนิรฺวฺวินฺฆตฺวญฺจ วิทฺยต อิติ ยทา มานวา วทิษฺยนฺติ ตทา ปฺรสวเวทนา ยทฺวทฺ ครฺพฺภินีมฺ อุปติษฺฐติ ตทฺวทฺ อกสฺมาทฺ วินาศสฺตานฺ อุปสฺถาสฺยติ ไตรุทฺธาโร น ลปฺสฺยเตฯ
4 But you, brothers, aren’t in darkness, that the day should overtake you like a thief.
กินฺตุ เห ภฺราตร: , ยูยมฺ อนฺธกาเรณาวฺฤตา น ภวถ ตสฺมาตฺ ตทฺทินํ ตสฺกร อิว ยุษฺมานฺ น ปฺราปฺสฺยติฯ
5 You are all children of light and children of the day. We don’t belong to the night, nor to darkness,
สรฺเวฺว ยูยํ ทีปฺเต: สนฺตานา ทิวายาศฺจ สนฺตานา ภวถ วยํ นิศาวํศาสฺติมิรวํศา วา น ภวาม: ฯ
6 so then let’s not sleep, as the rest do, but let’s watch and be sober.
อโต 'ปเร ยถา นิทฺราคตา: สนฺติ ตทฺวทฺ อสฺมาภิ รฺน ภวิตวฺยํ กินฺตุ ชาคริตวฺยํ สเจตไนศฺจ ภวิตวฺยํฯ
7 For those who sleep, sleep in the night; and those who are drunk are drunk in the night.
เย นิทฺรานฺติ เต นิศายาเมว นิทฺรานฺติ เต จ มตฺตา ภวนฺติ เต รชนฺยาเมว มตฺตา ภวนฺติฯ
8 But since we belong to the day, let’s be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love, and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
กินฺตุ วยํ ทิวสสฺย วํศา ภวาม: ; อโต 'สฺมาภิ รฺวกฺษสิ ปฺรตฺยยเปฺรมรูปํ กวจํ ศิรสิ จ ปริตฺราณาศารูปํ ศิรสฺตฺรํ ปริธาย สเจตไน รฺภวิตวฺยํฯ
9 For God didn’t appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
ยต อีศฺวโร'สฺมานฺ โกฺรเธ น นิยุชฺยาสฺมากํ ปฺรภุนา ยีศุขฺรีษฺเฏน ปริตฺราณสฺยาธิกาเร นิยุกฺตวานฺ,
10 who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.
ชาคฺรโต นิทฺราคตา วา วยํ ยตฺ เตน ปฺรภุนา สห ชีวามสฺตทรฺถํ โส'สฺมากํ กฺฤเต ปฺราณานฺ ตฺยกฺตวานฺฯ
11 Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do.
อเตอว ยูยํ ยทฺวตฺ กุรุถ ตทฺวตฺ ปรสฺปรํ สานฺตฺวยต สุสฺถิรีกุรุธฺวญฺจฯ
12 But we beg you, brothers, to know those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,
เห ภฺราตร: , ยุษฺมากํ มเธฺย เย ชนา: ปริศฺรมํ กุรฺวฺวนฺติ ปฺรโภ รฺนามฺนา ยุษฺมานฺ อธิติษฺฐนฺตฺยุปทิศนฺติ จ ตานฺ ยูยํ สมฺมนฺยธฺวํฯ
13 and to respect and honor them in love for their work’s sake. Be at peace among yourselves.
สฺวกรฺมฺมเหตุนา จ เปฺรมฺนา ตานฺ อตีวาทฺฤยธฺวมิติ มม ปฺรารฺถนา, ยูยํ ปรสฺปรํ นิรฺวฺวิโรธา ภวตฯ
14 We exhort you, brothers: Admonish the disorderly; encourage the faint-hearted; support the weak; be patient toward all.
เห ภฺราตร: , ยุษฺมานฺ วินยามเห ยูยมฺ อวิหิตาจาริโณ โลกานฺ ภรฺตฺสยธฺวํ, กฺษุทฺรมนส: สานฺตฺวยต, ทุรฺพฺพลานฺ อุปกุรุต, สรฺวฺวานฺ ปฺรติ สหิษฺณโว ภวต จฯ
15 See that no one returns evil for evil to anyone, but always follow after that which is good for one another and for all.
อปรํ กมปิ ปฺรตฺยนิษฺฏสฺย ผลมฺ อนิษฺฏํ เกนาปิ ยนฺน กฺริเยต ตทรฺถํ สาวธานา ภวต, กินฺตุ ปรสฺปรํ สรฺวฺวานฺ มานวำศฺจ ปฺรติ นิตฺยํ หิตาจาริโณ ภวตฯ
16 Always rejoice.
สรฺวฺวทานนฺทตฯ
17 Pray without ceasing.
นิรนฺตรํ ปฺรารฺถนำ กุรุธฺวํฯ
18 In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
สรฺวฺววิษเย กฺฤตชฺญตำ สฺวีกุรุธฺวํ ยต เอตเทว ขฺรีษฺฏยีศุนา ยุษฺมานฺ ปฺรติ ปฺรกาศิตมฺ อีศฺวราภิมตํฯ
19 Don’t quench the Spirit.
ปวิตฺรมฺ อาตฺมานํ น นิรฺวฺวาปยตฯ
20 Don’t despise prophecies.
อีศฺวรียาเทศํ นาวชานีตฯ
21 Test all things, and hold firmly that which is good.
สรฺวฺวาณิ ปรีกฺษฺย ยทฺ ภทฺรํ ตเทว ธารยตฯ
22 Abstain from every form of evil.
ยตฺ กิมปิ ปาปรูปํ ภวติ ตสฺมาทฺ ทูรํ ติษฺฐตฯ
23 May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ศานฺติทายก อีศฺวร: สฺวยํ ยุษฺมานฺ สมฺปูรฺณเตฺวน ปวิตฺรานฺ กโรตุ, อปรมฺ อสฺมตฺปฺรโภ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺยาคมนํ ยาวทฺ ยุษฺมากมฺ อาตฺมาน: ปฺราณา: ศรีราณิ จ นิขิลานิ นิรฺทฺโทษเตฺวน รกฺษฺยนฺตำฯ
24 He who calls you is faithful, who will also do it.
โย ยุษฺมานฺ อาหฺวยติ ส วิศฺวสนีโย'ต: ส ตตฺ สาธยิษฺยติฯ
25 Brothers, pray for us.
เห ภฺราตร: , อสฺมากํ กฺฤเต ปฺรารฺถนำ กุรุธฺวํฯ
26 Greet all the brothers with a holy kiss.
ปวิตฺรจุมฺพเนน สรฺวฺวานฺ ภฺราตฺฤนฺ ปฺรติ สตฺกุรุธฺวํฯ
27 I solemnly command you by the Lord that this letter be read to all the holy brothers.
ปตฺรมิทํ สรฺเวฺวษำ ปวิตฺราณำ ภฺราตฺฤณำ ศฺรุติโคจเร ยุษฺมาภิ: ปฐฺยตามิติ ปฺรโภ รฺนามฺนา ยุษฺมานฺ ศปยามิฯ
28 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.
อสฺมากํ ปฺรโภ รฺยีศุขฺรีษฺฏสฺยานุคฺรเต ยุษฺมาสุ ภูยาตฺฯ อาเมนฺฯ
