1 John 4

1 Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

హే ప్రియతమాః, యూయం సర్వ్వేష్వాత్మసు న విశ్వసిత కిన్తు తే ఈశ్వరాత్ జాతా న వేత్యాత్మనః పరీక్షధ్వం యతో బహవో మృషాభవిష్యద్వాదినో జగన్మధ్యమ్ ఆగతవన్తః|

2 By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit who confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God,

ఈశ్వరీయో య ఆత్మా స యుష్మాభిరనేన పరిచీయతాం, యీశుః ఖ్రీష్టో నరావతారో భూత్వాగత ఏతద్ యేన కేనచిద్ ఆత్మనా స్వీక్రియతే స ఈశ్వరీయః|

3 and every spirit who doesn’t confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God; and this is the spirit of the Antichrist, of whom you have heard that it comes. Now it is in the world already.

కిన్తు యీశుః ఖ్రీష్టో నరావతారో భూత్వాగత ఏతద్ యేన కేనచిద్ ఆత్మనా నాఙ్గీక్రియతే స ఈశ్వరీయో నహి కిన్తు ఖ్రీష్టారేరాత్మా, తేన చాగన్తవ్యమితి యుష్మాభిః శ్రుతం, స చేదానీమపి జగతి వర్త్తతే|

4 You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world.

హే బాలకాః, యూయమ్ ఈశ్వరాత్ జాతాస్తాన్ జితవన్తశ్చ యతః సంసారాధిష్ఠానకారిణో ఽపి యుష్మదధిష్ఠానకారీ మహాన్|

5 They are of the world. Therefore they speak of the world, and the world hears them.

తే సంసారాత్ జాతాస్తతో హేతోః సంసారాద్ భాషన్తే సంసారశ్చ తేషాం వాక్యాని గృహ్లాతి|

6 We are of God. He who knows God listens to us. He who is not of God doesn’t listen to us. By this we know the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error.

వయమ్ ఈశ్వరాత్ జాతాః, ఈశ్వరం యో జానాతి సోఽస్మద్వాక్యాని గృహ్లాతి యశ్చేశ్వరాత్ జాతో నహి సోఽస్మద్వాక్యాని న గృహ్లాతి; అనేన వయం సత్యాత్మానం భ్రామకాత్మానఞ్చ పరిచినుమః|

7 Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

హే ప్రియతమాః, వయం పరస్పరం ప్రేమ కరవామ, యతః ప్రేమ ఈశ్వరాత్ జాయతే, అపరం యః కశ్చిత్ ప్రేమ కరోతి స ఈశ్వరాత్ జాత ఈశ్వరం వేత్తి చ|

8 He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.

యః ప్రేమ న కరోతి స ఈశ్వరం న జానాతి యత ఈశ్వరః ప్రేమస్వరూపః|

9 By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his only born Son into the world that we might live through him.

అస్మాస్వీశ్వరస్య ప్రేమైతేన ప్రాకాశత యత్ స్వపుత్రేణాస్మభ్యం జీవనదానార్థమ్ ఈశ్వరః స్వీయమ్ అద్వితీయం పుత్రం జగన్మధ్యం ప్రేషితవాన్|

10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son as the atoning sacrifice for our sins.

వయం యద్ ఈశ్వరే ప్రీతవన్త ఇత్యత్ర నహి కిన్తు స యదస్మాసు ప్రీతవాన్ అస్మత్పాపానాం ప్రాయశ్చిర్త్తార్థం స్వపుత్రం ప్రేషితవాంశ్చేత్యత్ర ప్రేమ సన్తిష్ఠతే|

11 Beloved, if God loved us in this way, we also ought to love one another.

హే ప్రియతమాః, అస్మాసు యదీశ్వరేణైతాదృశం ప్రేమ కృతం తర్హి పరస్పరం ప్రేమ కర్త్తుమ్ అస్మాకమప్యుచితం|

12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God remains in us, and his love has been perfected in us.

ఈశ్వరః కదాచ కేనాపి న దృష్టః యద్యస్మాభిః పరస్పరం ప్రేమ క్రియతే తర్హీశ్వరో ఽస్మన్మధ్యే తిష్ఠతి తస్య ప్రేమ చాస్మాసు సేత్స్యతే|

13 By this we know that we remain in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

అస్మభ్యం తేన స్వకీయాత్మనోంఽశో దత్త ఇత్యనేన వయం యత్ తస్మిన్ తిష్ఠామః స చ యద్ అస్మాసు తిష్ఠతీతి జానీమః|

14 We have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as the Savior of the world.

పితా జగత్రాతారం పుత్రం ప్రేషితవాన్ ఏతద్ వయం దృష్ట్వా ప్రమాణయామః|

15 Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God remains in him, and he in God.

యీశురీశ్వరస్య పుత్ర ఏతద్ యేనాఙ్గీక్రియతే తస్మిన్ ఈశ్వరస్తిష్ఠతి స చేశ్వరే తిష్ఠతి|

16 We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.

అస్మాస్వీశ్వరస్య యత్ ప్రేమ వర్త్తతే తద్ వయం జ్ఞాతవన్తస్తస్మిన్ విశ్వాసితవన్తశ్చ| ఈశ్వరః ప్రేమస్వరూపః ప్రేమ్నీ యస్తిష్ఠతి స ఈశ్వరే తిష్ఠతి తస్మింశ్చేశ్వరస్తిష్ఠతి|

17 In this, love has been made perfect among us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment, because as he is, even so we are in this world.

స యాదృశో ఽస్తి వయమప్యేతస్మిన్ జగతి తాదృశా భవామ ఏతస్మాద్ విచారదినే ఽస్మాభి ర్యా ప్రతిభా లభ్యతే సాస్మత్సమ్బన్ధీయస్య ప్రేమ్నః సిద్ధిః|

18 There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment. He who fears is not made perfect in love.

ప్రేమ్ని భీతి ర్న వర్త్తతే కిన్తు సిద్ధం ప్రేమ భీతిం నిరాకరోతి యతో భీతిః సయాతనాస్తి భీతో మానవః ప్రేమ్ని సిద్ధో న జాతః|

19 We love him, because he first loved us.

అస్మాసు స ప్రథమం ప్రీతవాన్ ఇతి కారణాద్ వయం తస్మిన్ ప్రీయామహే|

20 If a man says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who doesn’t love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?

ఈశ్వరే ఽహం ప్రీయ ఇత్యుక్త్వా యః కశ్చిత్ స్వభ్రాతరం ద్వేష్టి సో ఽనృతవాదీ| స యం దృష్టవాన్ తస్మిన్ స్వభ్రాతరి యది న ప్రీయతే తర్హి యమ్ ఈశ్వరం న దృష్టవాన్ కథం తస్మిన్ ప్రేమ కర్త్తుం శక్నుయాత్?

21 This commandment we have from him, that he who loves God should also love his brother.

అత ఈశ్వరే యః ప్రీయతే స స్వీయభ్రాతర్య్యపి ప్రీయతామ్ ఇయమ్ ఆజ్ఞా తస్మాద్ అస్మాభి ర్లబ్ధా|
