< 1 Corinthians 10 >

1 Now I would not have you ignorant, brothers, that our fathers were all under the cloud, and all passed through the sea;
Ndoilwe unye mulenge akak niadada ane, kina iatata itu aeakole pihe ilunde hange ehi aeakiie mubahali.
2 and were all baptized into Moses in the cloud and in the sea;
Ehi ekabadisigwa kutula ang'wa Musa mulunda mukati numukati mubahali,
3 and all ate the same spiritual food;
hange ehi ikalya indya zizo zizoo niakinkolo.
4 and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they drank of a spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.
Ehi ekang'wa ekeng'wi kiko kikoo nikakinkolo. Ndogoilyo aeang'ee kupuma migwe lakinkolo naeliatyatile, nigwe nilanso aeKilisto.
5 However with most of them, God was not well pleased, for they were overthrown in the wilderness.
Kuite Itunda singaaeuloeigwe kukila nawa niang'wao nemeimbaao ikasapatiligwa mumbuga.
6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things as they also lusted.
Inge imakani aya ehi aekilengasiilyo kitu, nsoko usese kuleke kutula antu ansula niembi anga nianso naeitu.
7 Don’t be idolaters, as some of them were. As it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink, and rose up to play.”
Muleke kukulya iadudu, anga niang'wi ao naeile. Eye anga niandekile, “Iantu aeikie pihe akalya nukung'wa, hange ikauka kiginsa kunsula yaukosi.
8 Let’s not commit sexual immorality, as some of them committed, and in one day twenty-three thousand fell.
Kuleke kituma ukosi anga niidu ao naetumile. Ikasasha luhiku lung'wi antu makumi ambiili nuu tata elfu kunsoko yiyo.
9 Let’s not test Christ, as some of them tested, and perished by the serpents.
Hange kuleke kumugema Ukilisto, anga niidu ao naeitumile ikabepigwa ninzoka.
10 Don’t grumble, as some of them also grumbled, and perished by the destroyer.
Hange gwa muleke kisusumya, anga niidu ao naeisusumilye nukubepigwa numalaeka waashi.
11 Now all these things happened to them by way of example, and they were written for our admonition, on whom the ends of the ages have come. (aiōn g165)
Inge imakani aya aeatendekile anga ilengasiilyo yitu. Akaandekwa nsoko akukenela usese - nekupikewe nempelo nakali. (aiōn g165)
12 Therefore let him who thinks he stands be careful that he doesn’t fall.
Kuite kela nukiona wemekile nuatule nukilangaila waleke kugwa.
13 No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.
Kutile geng'wa nelemupatile unye nesinga kawaeda aantu. Inge Itunda watai. Singa ukumuleka mugeng'we kukila muukumi wanyu. Palung'wi nigeng'wa nuanso ukumupa mumulango nuakupumile nsoko muhume kudula.
14 Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.
Kuite gwa, alowa ane, lemanki ikulyo nelaadudu.
15 I speak as to wise men. Judge what I say.
Kutambula nunyenye anga antu neakete imahala, nsoko mulamule kuaya nekumatambula.
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, isn’t it a sharing of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, isn’t it a sharing of the body of Christ?
Ikekombe nikakukembeta nikukikembetile, singa upalung'wi nuasakami ang'wa Kilisto? Umukate uo nekuuega, singa upalung'wi nuamuili wang'wa Kilisto?
17 Because there is one loaf of bread, we, who are many, are one body; for we all partake of the one loaf of bread.
Kunsoko umukate ung'wi, usese nikiidu kiamuili ung'wi. Usese kehi kuusingiilya umukate ung'wi kupalung'wi.
18 Consider Israel according to the flesh. Don’t those who eat the sacrifices participate in the altar?
Agozi iantu akuisilaeli. Itee awa ehi neeliza izabihu singa ipalung'wine pakizindaalo?
19 What am I saying then? That a thing sacrificed to idols is anything, or that an idol is anything?
Kulunga ulegwa? Kina ududu kentunee? Ang'wi kina uludya nulupumigwe isongeelyo kududu kentune?
20 But I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I don’t desire that you would have fellowship with demons.
Kuite kutunga kumaintu nanso niapumilye isongeelyo iantu anyakilungu niamihe, kina akupumya imaintu aya kuahing'wi hange singa kung'wi Tunda. Nunee singantakile unyenye kutula mepalung'wi niaking'wi!
21 You can’t both drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You can’t both partake of the table of the Lord and of the table of demons.
Shanga mukung'wela ikekombe ka Mukulu nikekombe kaahing'wi. Shanga mukutula palung'wi mumeza a Mukulu nemeza nahung'wi.
22 Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?
Ang'wi kuumupa Umukulu wetu? Kukete ngulune kukilanuanso?
23 “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things are profitable. “All things are lawful for me,” but not all things build up.
Imaintu ehi anonee, “kuite singa ehe agombigwe. Maintu ehi anonee” kuite singa ehi neeakulya eantu.
24 Let no one seek his own, but each one his neighbor’s good.
Kutile anga nung'wi nukuduma nimaza nakweudu. kuleka gwa ite, kukela ung'wiao azuzeeduma nimaza namiakwe.
25 Whatever is sold in the butcher shop, eat, asking no question for the sake of conscience,
Muhumile kulya kela kintu nekikuguligwa kinsoko muleke kukolyakolya kunsoko amasigo.
26 for “the earth is the Lord’s, and its fullness.”
Ndogoilyo, Uunkumbigulu nsao a Mukulu, hange ehi nuuizue.
27 But if one of those who don’t believe invites you to a meal, and you are inclined to go, eat whatever is set before you, asking no questions for the sake of conscience.
Numuntu nushuhuie anga wanutanga kulya hange malowa kulongola, mulye kehi nukumupe muleke kukolya imakolyo namasigo.
28 But if anyone says to you, “This was offered to idols,” don’t eat it for the sake of the one who told you, and for the sake of conscience. For “the earth is the Lord’s, with all its fullness.”
Kuite umuntu anga wamuile, “Uludya ulu lupumigwe isongeelyo nianyakilungu,” leki kulya. Eye kunsoko akwe numuiya, hange kunsoko amasigo.
29 Conscience, I say, not your own, but the other’s conscience. For why is my liberty judged by another conscience?
Nunee singa nimaie anga masigo anyu, inge masigo amungiza. Kundogoilyo kuniki uwidesi wane ulamulwe nimasigo amuntu mungiza?
30 If I partake with thankfulness, why am I denounced for something I give thanks for?
Angeze unene kutumela indya kilumbi, kuneke tukilwe kukentu nensongeeye kukenso?
31 Whether therefore you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Kuite gwa kehi nemukulya ang'wi mukung'wa, ang'wi kehi nemukituma, itumi ehi kunsoko aukulu wang'wi Tunda.
32 Give no occasion for stumbling, whether to Jews, to Greeks, or to the assembly of God;
Leki kuakoseshi Iayahudi ang'wi Iayunani, ang'w Itekeelo lang'wi Tunda.
33 even as I also please all men in all things, not seeking my own profit, but the profit of the many, that they may be saved.
Gemi anga unene nenegema kualoelya iantu ehi kumakani ehi. Shanga kuduma anga nsailo ane unene, inge naangiza. Nunee kituma ite nsoko alije uguneki.
