1 Chronicles 8

1 Benjamin became the father of Bela his firstborn, Ashbel the second, Aharah the third,

ובנימן--הוליד את בלע בכרו אשבל השני ואחרח השלישי

2 Nohah the fourth, and Rapha the fifth.

נוחה הרביעי ורפא החמישי

3 Bela had sons: Addar, Gera, Abihud,

ויהיו בנים לבלע--אדר וגרא ואביהוד

4 Abishua, Naaman, Ahoah,

ואבישוע ונעמן ואחוח

5 Gera, Shephuphan, and Huram.

וגרא ושפופן וחורם

6 These are the sons of Ehud. These are the heads of fathers’ households of the inhabitants of Geba, who were carried captive to Manahath:

ואלה בני אחוד אלה הם ראשי אבות ליושבי גבע ויגלום אל מנחת

7 Naaman, Ahijah, and Gera, who carried them captive; and he became the father of Uzza and Ahihud.

ונעמן ואחיה וגרא הוא הגלם והוליד את עזא ואת אחיחד

8 Shaharaim became the father of children in the field of Moab, after he had sent them away. Hushim and Baara were his wives.

ושחרים הוליד בשדה מואב מן שלחו אתם--חושים ואת בערא נשיו

9 By Hodesh his wife, he became the father of Jobab, Zibia, Mesha, Malcam,

ויולד מן חדש אשתו--את יובב ואת צביא ואת מישא ואת מלכם

10 Jeuz, Shachia, and Mirmah. These were his sons, heads of fathers’ households.

ואת יעוץ ואת שכיה ואת מרמה אלה בניו ראשי אבות

11 By Hushim, he became the father of Abitub and Elpaal.

ומחשים הוליד את אביטוב ואת אלפעל

12 The sons of Elpaal: Eber, Misham, and Shemed, who built Ono and Lod, with its towns;

ובני אלפעל עבר ומשעם ושמד הוא בנה את אונו ואת לד ובנתיה

13 and Beriah and Shema, who were heads of fathers’ households of the inhabitants of Aijalon, who put to flight the inhabitants of Gath;

וברעה ושמע--המה ראשי האבות ליושבי אילון המה הבריחו את יושבי גת

14 and Ahio, Shashak, Jeremoth,

ואחיו ששק וירמות

15 Zebadiah, Arad, Eder,

וזבדיה וערד ועדר

16 Michael, Ishpah, Joha, the sons of Beriah,

ומיכאל וישפה ויוחא בני בריעה

17 Zebadiah, Meshullam, Hizki, Heber,

וזבדיה ומשלם וחזקי וחבר

18 Ishmerai, Izliah, Jobab, the sons of Elpaal,

וישמרי ויזליאה ויובב בני אלפעל

19 Jakim, Zichri, Zabdi,

ויקים וזכרי וזבדי

20 Elienai, Zillethai, Eliel,

ואליעיני וצלתי ואליאל

21 Adaiah, Beraiah, Shimrath, the sons of Shimei,

ועדיה ובראיה ושמרת בני שמעי

22 Ishpan, Eber, Eliel,

וישפן ועבר ואליאל

23 Abdon, Zichri, Hanan,

ועבדון וזכרי וחנן

24 Hananiah, Elam, Anthothijah,

וחנניה ועילם וענתתיה

25 Iphdeiah, Penuel, the sons of Shashak,

ויפדיה ופניאל (ופנואל) בני ששק

26 Shamsherai, Shehariah, Athaliah,

ושמשרי ושחריה ועתליה

27 Jaareshiah, Elijah, Zichri, and the sons of Jeroham.

ויערשיה ואליה וזכרי בני ירחם

28 These were heads of fathers’ households throughout their generations, chief men. These lived in Jerusalem.

אלה ראשי אבות לתלדותם ראשים אלה ישבו בירושלם

29 The father of Gibeon, whose wife’s name was Maacah, lived in Gibeon

ובגבעון ישבו אבי גבעון ושם אשתו מעכה

30 with his firstborn son Abdon, Zur, Kish, Baal, Nadab,

ובנו הבכור עבדון וצור וקיש ובעל ונדב

31 Gedor, Ahio, Zecher,

וגדור ואחיו וזכר

32 and Mikloth, who became the father of Shimeah. They also lived with their families in Jerusalem, near their relatives.

ומקלות הוליד את שמאה ואף המה נגד אחיהם ישבו בירושלם--עם אחיהם

33 Ner became the father of Kish. Kish became the father of Saul. Saul became the father of Jonathan, Malchishua, Abinadab, and Eshbaal.

ונר הוליד את קיש וקיש הוליד את שאול ושאול הוליד את יהונתן ואת מלכישוע ואת אבינדב ואת אשבעל

34 The son of Jonathan was Merib-baal. Merib-baal became the father of Micah.

ובן יהונתן מריב בעל ומריב בעל הוליד את מיכה

35 The sons of Micah: Pithon, Melech, Tarea, and Ahaz.

ובני מיכה--פיתון ומלך ותארע ואחז

36 Ahaz became the father of Jehoaddah. Jehoaddah became the father of Alemeth, Azmaveth, and Zimri. Zimri became the father of Moza.

ואחז הוליד את יהועדה ויהועדה הוליד את עלמת ואת עזמות ואת זמרי וזמרי הוליד את מוצא

37 Moza became the father of Binea. Raphah was his son, Eleasah his son, and Azel his son.

ומוצא הוליד את בנעא רפה בנו אלעשה בנו אצל בנו

38 Azel had six sons, whose names are these: Azrikam, Bocheru, Ishmael, Sheariah, Obadiah, and Hanan. All these were the sons of Azel.

ולאצל ששה בנים--ואלה שמותם עזריקם בכרו וישמעאל ושעריה ועבדיה וחנן כל אלה בני אצל

39 The sons of Eshek his brother: Ulam his firstborn, Jeush the second, and Eliphelet the third.

ובני עשק אחיו אולם בכרו--יעוש השני ואליפלט השלשי

40 The sons of Ulam were mighty men of valor, archers, and had many sons, and grandsons, one hundred fifty. All these were of the sons of Benjamin.

ויהיו בני אולם אנשים גבורי חיל דרכי קשת ומרבים בנים ובני בנים--מאה וחמשים כל אלה מבני בנימן
