2 Samuel 15
1 After this, Absalom prepared a chariot and horses for himself, and fifty men to run before him.
कुछ समय बाद अबशालोम ने अपने लिए एक रथ, कुछ घोड़े और इनके आगे-आगे दौड़ने के लिए पचास दौड़ने वाले जुटा लिए.
2 Absalom rose up early, and stood beside the way of the gate. When any man had a suit which should come to the king for judgement, then Absalom called to him, and said, “What city are you from?” He said, “Your servant is of one of the tribes of Israel.”
अबशालोम सुबह जल्दी उठकर नगर फाटक के मार्ग पर खड़ा हो जाता था. जब कभी कोई व्यक्ति अपना विवाद लेकर राजा के सामने न्याय के उद्देश्य से आता था, अबशालोम उसे बुलाकर उससे पूछता था, “कहां से आ रहे हो?” उसे उत्तर प्राप्त होता था, “इस्राएल के एक वंश से.”
3 Absalom said to him, “Behold, your matters are good and right; but there is no man deputized by the king to hear you.”
तब अबशालोम उसे सलाह देता था, “देखो, तुम्हारी विनती पूरी तरह सटीक और सही है, मगर राजा द्वारा ऐसा कोई अधिकारी नियुक्त नहीं किया है, कि तुम्हारी विनती पर विचार किया जा सके.”
4 Absalom said moreover, “Oh that I were made judge in the land, that every man who has any suit or cause might come to me, and I would do him justice!”
अबशालोम आगे कहता था, “कितना अच्छा होता यदि मैं उस देश के लिए न्यायाध्यक्ष बना दिया जाता! तब हर एक व्यक्ति आकर मुझसे उचित न्याय प्राप्त कर सकता.”
5 It was so, that when any man came near to bow down to him, he stretched out his hand, took hold of him, and kissed him.
यदि कोई व्यक्ति आकर उसे नमस्कार करने आता था, वह हाथ बढ़ाकर उसे पकड़कर उसका चुंबन ले लिया करता था.
6 Absalom did this sort of thing to all Israel who came to the king for judgement. So Absalom stole the hearts of the men of Israel.
अबशालोम की अब यही रीति हो गई थी, कि जो कोई न्याय के उद्देश्य से राजा के सामने जाने के लिए आता था, अबशालोम उसके साथ यही व्यवहार करता था. यह करके अबशालोम ने इस्राएल की जनता के हृदय जीत लिया.
7 At the end of forty years, Absalom said to the king, “Please let me go and pay my vow, which I have vowed to the LORD, in Hebron.
चार वर्ष पूरे होते-होते अबशालोम ने राजा से कहा, “कृपया मुझे हेब्रोन जाने की अनुमति दीजिए. मुझे वहां याहवेह से किए गए अपने संकल्प को पूरा करना है.
8 For your servant vowed a vow while I stayed at Geshur in Syria, saying, ‘If the LORD shall indeed bring me again to Jerusalem, then I will serve the LORD.’”
अराम राष्ट्र के गेशूर में रहते हुए आपके सेवक ने यह संकल्प लिया था, ‘यदि याहवेह मुझे वास्तव में येरूशलेम लौटा ले आएंगे, मैं हेब्रोन में आकर याहवेह की वंदना करूंगा.’”
9 The king said to him, “Go in peace.” So he arose and went to Hebron.
राजा ने उसे उत्तर दिया, “शांतिपूर्वक जाओ.” तब अबशालोम तैयार होकर हेब्रोन के लिए चला गया.
10 But Absalom sent spies throughout all the tribes of Israel, saying, “As soon as you hear the sound of the trumpet, then you shall say, ‘Absalom is king in Hebron!’”
अबशालोम सारे इस्राएल में गुप्त रूप से इस संदेश के साथ दूत भेज चुका था, “जैसे ही तुम नरसिंगे की आवाज सुनो, यह घोषणा करना, ‘हेब्रोन में अबशालोम राजा है.’”
11 Two hundred men went with Absalom out of Jerusalem, who were invited, and went in their simplicity; and they didn’t know anything.
येरूशलेम से अबशालोम के साथ दो सौ व्यक्ति भी हेब्रोन गए ये; आमंत्रित अतिथि थे. वे काफ़ी मासूमियत से गए थे; उन्हें कुछ भी मालूम न था कि क्या-क्या हो रहा था.
12 Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David’s counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he was offering the sacrifices. The conspiracy was strong, for the people increased continually with Absalom.
अबशालोम ने बलि चढ़ाने के अवसर पर गिलोहवासी अहीतोफ़ेल को गिलोह नगर, जो उनके अपना नगर था, आने का न्योता दिया. अहीतोफ़ेल दावीद का मंत्री था. यहां अबशालोम के समर्थक की संख्या बढ़ती जा रही थी, जिससे राजा के विरुद्ध षड़्यंत्र मजबूत होता चला गया.
13 A messenger came to David, saying, “The hearts of the men of Israel are after Absalom.”
एक दूत ने आकर दावीद को यह सूचना दी, “इस्राएल के लोगों के दिल अबशालोम के साथ हो गया है.”
14 David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, “Arise! Let’s flee, or else none of us will escape from Absalom. Hurry to depart, lest he overtake us quickly and bring down evil on us, and strike the city with the edge of the sword.”
यह मालूम होते ही दावीद ने येरूशलेम में अपने साथ के सभी सेवकों को आदेश दिया, “उठो! हमें यहां से भागना होगा, नहीं तो हम अबशालोम से बच न सकेंगे. हमें इसी क्षण निकलना होगा, कि हम घिर न जाएं और हम पर विनाश न आ पड़े और सारा नगर तलवार का आहार न हो जाए.”
15 The king’s servants said to the king, “Behold, your servants are ready to do whatever my lord the king chooses.”
राजा के सेवकों ने उन्हें उत्तर दिया, “सच मानिए महाराज, हमारे स्वामी जो कुछ कहें वह करने के लिए आपके सेवक तैयार हैं.”
16 The king went out, and all his household after him. The king left ten women, who were concubines, to keep the house.
तब राजा निकल पड़े और उनके साथ उनका सारा घर-परिवार भी; मगर दावीद ने अपनी दस उपपत्नियों को घर की देखभाल के उद्देश्य से वहीं छोड़ दीं.
17 The king went out, and all the people after him; and they stayed in Beth Merhak.
राजा अपने घर से निकल पड़े और उनके पीछे-पीछे सारे लोग भी. चलते हुए वे आखिरी घर तक पहुंचकर ठहर गए.
18 All his servants passed on beside him; and all the Cherethites, and all the Pelethites, and all the Gittites, six hundred men who came after him from Gath, passed on before the king.
उनके सारे अधिकारी उनके पास से निकलकर आगे बढ़ गए. ये सभी थे केरेथि, पेलेथी और छः सौ गाथवासी, जो उनके साथ गाथ नगर से आए हुए थे. ये सभी उनके सामने से होकर निकले.
19 Then the king said to Ittai the Gittite, “Why do you also go with us? Return, and stay with the king; for you are a foreigner and also an exile. Return to your own place.
राजा ने गाथ नगरवासी इत्तई से कहा, “आप क्यों हमारे साथ हो लिए हैं? आप लौट जाइए, और अपने राजा का साथ दीजिए. वैसे भी आप विदेशी हैं, अपने स्वदेश से निकाले हुए.
20 Whereas you came but yesterday, should I today make you go up and down with us, since I go where I may? Return, and take back your brothers. Mercy and truth be with you.”
आप कल ही तो हमारे पास आए हैं. क्या मैं आपको अपने साथ भटकाने के लिए विवश करूं? मुझे तो यही मालूम नहीं मैं किधर जा रहा हूं? आप लौट जाइए, ले जाइए अपने भाइयों को अपने साथ. याहवेह तुम पर अपना अपार प्रेम और विश्वासयोग्यता बनाए रखें.”
21 Ittai answered the king and said, “As the LORD lives, and as my lord the king lives, surely in what place my lord the king is, whether for death or for life, your servant will be there also.”
मगर इत्तई ने राजा को उत्तर दिया, “जीवित याहवेह की शपथ, जहां कहीं महाराज मेरे स्वामी होंगे, चाहे जीवन में अथवा मृत्यु में, आपका सेवक भी वहीं होगा.”
22 David said to Ittai, “Go and pass over.” Ittai the Gittite passed over, and all his men, and all the little ones who were with him.
तब दावीद ने इत्तई से कहा, “जैसी तुम्हारी इच्छा.” तब गाथवासी इत्तई इन सभी व्यक्तियों के साथ शामिल हो गए, इनमें बालक भी शामिल थे.
23 All the country wept with a loud voice, and all the people passed over. The king also himself passed over the brook Kidron, and all the people passed over towards the way of the wilderness.
जब यह समूह आगे बढ़ रहा था सारा देश ऊंची आवाज में रो रहा था. राजा ने किद्रोन नदी पार की, और वे सब बंजर भूमि की ओर बढ़ गए.
24 Behold, Zadok also came, and all the Levites with him, bearing the ark of the covenant of God; and they set down God’s ark; and Abiathar went up until all the people finished passing out of the city.
अबीयाथर भी वहां आए और सादोक के साथ सारे लेवी लोग भी. ये अपने साथ परमेश्वर की वाचा का संदूक भी ले आए थे. उन्होंने वाचा के संदूक को उस समय तक भूमि पर रखे रहने दिया जब तक सभी लोग नगर से बाहर न निकल गए.
25 The king said to Zadok, “Carry God’s ark back into the city. If I find favour in the LORD’s eyes, he will bring me again, and show me both it and his habitation;
इसके बाद राजा ने सादोक को आदेश दिया, “परमेश्वर की वाचा के संदूक को अब नगर लौटा ले जाओ. यदि याहवेह की कृपादृष्टि मुझ पर बनी रही, तो वह मुझे लौटा लाएंगे तब मैं इस संदूक और उनके निवास का दर्शन कर सकूंगा.
26 but if he says, ‘I have no delight in you,’ behold, here I am. Let him do to me as seems good to him.”
मगर यदि याहवेह यह कहें, ‘तुममें मेरी कोई भी खुशी नहीं,’ तो मैं यही हूं कि वह मेरे साथ वहीं करे, जो उन्हें उचित जान पड़े.”
27 The king said also to Zadok the priest, “Aren’t you a seer? Return into the city in peace, and your two sons with you, Ahimaaz your son and Jonathan the son of Abiathar.
तब राजा ने पुरोहित सादोक से कहा, “सुनिए, आप शांतिपूर्वक नगर लौट जाइए, अपने साथ अपने पुत्र अहीमाज़ को और अबीयाथर के पुत्र योनातन को ले जाइए.
28 Behold, I will stay at the fords of the wilderness until word comes from you to inform me.”
यह ध्यान में रहे: तुमसे सूचना प्राप्त होने तक मैं वन में ठहरूंगा.”
29 Zadok therefore and Abiathar carried God’s ark to Jerusalem again; and they stayed there.
अबीयाथर परमेश्वर का संदूक लेकर येरूशलेम लौट गए, और वे वहीं ठहरे रहे.
30 David went up by the ascent of the Mount of Olives, and wept as he went up; and he had his head covered and went barefoot. All the people who were with him each covered his head, and they went up, weeping as they went up.
दावीद ज़ैतून पर्वत की चढ़ाई चढ़ते चले गए वह चलते हुए रोते जा रहे थे. उनका सिर तो ढका हुआ था मगर पांव नंगे. उनके साथ चल रहे हर एक व्यक्ति ने भी अपना अपना सिर ढांक लिया था और वे भी रोते हुए चल रहे थे.
31 Someone told David, saying, “Ahithophel is amongst the conspirators with Absalom.” David said, “LORD, please turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness.”
इस अवसर पर किसी ने दावीद को यह सूचना दी. “अहीतोफ़ेल भी अबशालोम के षड़्यंत्रकारियों में शामिल है.” यह सुन दावीद ने प्रार्थना की, “याहवेह, आपसे मेरी प्रार्थना है, अहीतोफ़ेल की सलाह को मूर्खता में बदल दीजिए.”
32 When David had come to the top, where God was worshipped, behold, Hushai the Archite came to meet him with his tunic torn and earth on his head.
जब दावीद पर्वत की चोटी पर पहुंच रहे थे, जिस स्थान पर परमेश्वर की आराधना की जाती है, अर्की हुशाई उनसे भेंटकरने आ गया. उसका बाहरी वस्त्र फटे हुए थे और सिर पर धूल पड़ी हुई थी.
33 David said to him, “If you pass on with me, then you will be a burden to me;
दावीद ने उससे कहा, “सुनो, यदि तुम मेरे साथ चलोगे तो मेरे लिए बोझ बन जाओगे.
34 but if you return to the city, and tell Absalom, ‘I will be your servant, O king. As I have been your father’s servant in time past, so I will now be your servant; then will you defeat for me the counsel of Ahithophel.’
मगर यदि तुम लौटकर नगर चले जाओ और अबशालोम से कहो, ‘महाराज, मैं अब आपका सेवक हूं; ठीक जिस प्रकार पहले आपके पिता का सेवक था; अब आपका सेवक रहूं,’ तब तुम वहां मेरे पक्ष में अहीतोफ़ेल की युक्ति को विफल कर सकोगे.
35 Don’t you have Zadok and Abiathar the priests there with you? Therefore whatever you hear out of the king’s house, tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the priests.
तुम्हारे साथ के पुरोहित सादोक और अबीयाथर भी तो वहीं हैं. राजमहल से तुम्हें जो कुछ मालूम होता है, तुम वह पुरोहित सादोक और अबीयाथर को सूचित कर सकते हो.
36 Behold, they have there with them their two sons, Ahimaaz, Zadok’s son, and Jonathan, Abiathar’s son. Send to me everything that you shall hear by them.”
याद है न, उनके दो पुत्र वहां उनके साथ हैं—अहीमाज़, सादोक का पुत्र और योनातन, अबीयाथर का पुत्र. तुम्हें वहां जो कुछ मालूम होता है, तुम इनके द्वारा भेज सकते हो.”
37 So Hushai, David’s friend, came into the city; and Absalom came into Jerusalem.
तब दावीद के मित्र हुशाई नगर में आ गए. अबशालोम भी इस समय येरूशलेम आ चुका था.
