1 Chronicles 26
1 For the divisions of the doorkeepers: of the Korahites, Meshelemiah the son of Kore, of the sons of Asaph.
Um skifti som dørvaktarar var skifte i, er å segja: Av korahitarne var Meselemja, son åt Kore, av Asafs-sønerne.
2 Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,
Og Mesemlja hadde søner: Zakarja var den eldste, Jediael den andre, Zebadja den tridje, Jatniel den fjorde,
3 Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, and Eliehoenai the seventh.
Elam den femte, Johanan den sette, Eljoenai den sjuande.
4 Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, Sacar the fourth, Nethanel the fifth,
Og Obed-Edom hadde søner: Semaja var den eldste, Jozabad den andre, Joah den tridje, Sakar den fjorde, Netanel den femte,
5 Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, and Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.
Ammiel den sette, Issakar den sjuande, Pe’ulletai den åttande; for Gud hadde velsigna honom.
6 Sons were also born to Shemaiah his son, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valour.
Og Semaja, son hans, fekk og søner, som vart styrarar i ætti si; for dei var duglege menner.
7 The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, Rephael, Obed, and Elzabad, whose relatives were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.
Sønerne hans Semaja heitte Otni og Refael og Obed, Elzabad og brørne hans, dugande menner, Elihu og Semakja.
8 All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom with their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service: sixty-two of Obed-Edom.
Alle desse var ætta frå Obed-Edom, dei sjølve og sønerne og brørne deira, dugande og sterke menner i tenesta, - tvo og seksti av Obed-Edom.
9 Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, eighteen valiant men.
Meselemja hadde og søner og brør, duglege menner, i alt attan.
10 Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),
Og Hosa av Merari-sønerne hadde søner: Simri var fyrstemannen - han var vel ikkje den eldste; men far hans sette honom til hovding -
11 Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, and Zechariah the fourth. All the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.
Hilkia var den andre, Tebalja den tridje, Zakarja den fjorde. Alle sønerne og brørne hans Hosa var trettan.
12 Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the LORD’s house.
Desse dørvaktar-skifti, det vil segja ættarhovdingarne, vart no sette til vakttenesta i Herrens hus, jamsides med frendarne sine.
13 They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.
Og um kvar port drog dei strå, den minste som den største, etter ættgreinene sine.
14 The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counsellor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.
Romet ved austporten kom på Selemja; og dei drog strå for Zakarja, son hans, ein vitug rådgjevar, og etter strået vart hans rom i nord.
15 To Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.
På Obed-Edom fall romet ved sudporten, soleis at sønerne hans fekk budi på sin part.
16 To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watchman opposite watchman.
For Suppim og Hosa viste strået på romet i vest ved Salleket-porten, der vegen gjeng uppetter, den eine vaktposten attmed den andre.
17 Eastward were six Levites, northward four a day, southward four a day, and for the storehouse two and two.
Mot aust var det seks levitar, mot nord fire for kvar dag, mot sud fire for kvar dag, og ved budi tvo um gongen.
18 For Parbar westward, four at the causeway, and two at Parbar.
Ved Parbar mot vest stod fire attmed vegen, og tvo ved sjølve Parbar.
19 These were the divisions of the doorkeepers; of the sons of the Korahites, and of the sons of Merari.
Dette var dørvaktar-skifti av korahitsønerne og av Merari.
20 Of the Levites, Ahijah was over the treasures of God’s house and over the treasures of the dedicated things.
Og av levitarne hadde Ahia-sønerne tilsyn med skattarne i Guds hus og tok vare på dei ting som var vigde åt Herren.
21 The sons of Ladan, the sons of the Gershonites belonging to Ladan, the heads of the fathers’ households belonging to Ladan the Gershonite: Jehieli.
Sønerne åt Ladan, det vil segja gersonitsønerne av Ladans-ætti, hovdingarne for gersoniten Ladans ættgreinene var jehielitarne.
22 The sons of Jehieli: Zetham, and Joel his brother, over the treasures of the LORD’s house.
Jehielit-sønerne Zetam og Joel, bror hans, hadde tilsyn med skattarne i Guds hus.
23 Of the Amramites, of the Izharites, of the Hebronites, of the Uzzielites:
Um amramitarne, jisharitarne, hebronitarne og ozzielitarne er det å segja:
24 Shebuel the son of Gershom, the son of Moses, was ruler over the treasuries.
Sebuel, son åt Gersom Mosesson, var øvste tilsynsmannen yver skattarne.
25 His brothers: of Eliezer, Rehabiah his son, and Jeshaiah his son, and Joram his son, and Zichri his son, and Shelomoth his son.
Og frendarne hans av Eliezers-ætti var Rehabja Eliezersson, og son hans heitte Jesaja, og hans son var Joram, og hans son Zikri, og hans son Selomot.
26 This Shelomoth and his brothers were over all the treasuries of the dedicated things, which David the king, and the heads of the fathers’ households, the captains over thousands and hundreds, and the captains of the army, had dedicated.
Denne Selomot og brørne hans hadde tilsyn med alt det godset som kong David og like eins ættarhovdingarne, yver- og underhovdingar og herhovdingar hadde vigt åt Herren.
27 They dedicated some of the plunder won in battles to repair the LORD’s house.

28 All that Samuel the seer, Saul the son of Kish, Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth and of his brothers.
Og like eins alt det som sjåaren Samuel og Saul Kisson og Abner Nersson og Joab Serujason hadde vigt; kvar og ein som vigde noko, let Selomot og brørne hans taka vare på det.
29 Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were appointed to the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

30 Of the Hebronites, Hashabiah and his brothers, one thousand and seven hundred men of valour, had the oversight of Israel beyond the Jordan westward, for all the business of the LORD and for the service of the king.
Av hebronitarne vart Hasabja og brørne hans, syttan hundrad menner, sette til stjorn i Israel, i landet vest for Jordan, til alle slags gjeremål åt Herren og til kongen tenesta.
31 Of the Hebronites, Jerijah was the chief of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. They were sought for in the fortieth year of the reign of David, and mighty men of valour were found amongst them at Jazer of Gilead.
Til hebronitarne høyrde Jeria, hovdingen for hebronitarne etter deira ættgreiner og huslydar; i det fyrtiande styringsåret åt Davids vart dei yversedde, og det fanst då dugande folk hjå dei i Jazer i Gilead.
32 His relatives, men of valour, were two thousand and seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom King David made overseers over the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God and for the affairs of the king.
Brørne hans, duglege menner, var tvo tusund og sju hundrad hovud for huslydar; deim sette kong David yver rubenitarne, gaditarne og den halve Manasse-ætti, til å greida med alle Guds og kongens målemne.
