Revelation 8

1 When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in Heaven for about half an hour.

Ketika Anak Domba membuka materai yang ketujuh, tidak terdengar suara apapun di surga selama setengah jam.

2 Then I saw the seven angels who are in the presence of God, and seven trumpets were given to them.

Saya melihat ketujuh malaikat yang berdiri di hadapan Allah. Kepada mereka diberikan tujuh terompet.

3 And another angel came and stood close to the altar, carrying a censer of gold; and abundance of incense was given to him that he might place it with the prayers of all God's people upon the golden altar which was in front of the throne.

Lalu ada malaikat lain yang datang dan berdiri di mezbah. Dia memegang sebuah cawan emas untuk membakar kemenyan, dan kepadanya diberikan sejumlah besar kemenyan untuk ditambahkan kepada doa-doa dari seluruh orang kudus di atas mezbah yang terbuat dari emas yang berdiri di depan takhta itu.

4 And the smoke of the incense rose into the presence of God from the angel's hand, and mingled with the prayers of His people.

Asap dari kemenyan yang dibakar itu naik bersama dengan doa dari orang-orang kudus di hadapan Allah dari tangan malaikat itu.

5 So the angel took the censer and filled it with fire from the altar and flung it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder, and voices, and flashes of lightning, and an earthquake.

Malaikat itu mengambil cawan dan mengisinya dengan api yang dari mezbah, dan melemparkannya ke atas bumi. Terdengarlahsuara guntur dengan kilatan petir dan gempa bumi yang dahsyat.

6 Then the seven angels who had the seven trumpets made preparations for blowing them.

Lalu ke tujuh malaikat memegang ke tujuh terompet dan bersiap-siap untuk meniup mereka.

7 The first blew his trumpet; and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, falling upon the earth; and a third part of the earth was burnt up, and a third part of the trees and all the green grass.

Malaikat yang pertama meniup terompetnya. Hujan batu dan api bercampur darah turun ke atas bumi. Dan sepertiga bagian dari bumi hangus terbakar, sepertiga pepohonan hangus dan seluruh rumput hijau hangus terbakar.

8 The second angel blew his trumpet; and what seemed to be a great mountain, all ablaze with fire, was hurled into the sea; and a third part of the sea was turned into blood.

Malaikat yang kedua meniup terompetnya. Sesuatu yang tampaknya seperti pegunungan raksasa yang terbakar api dilemparkan ke dalam lautan. Dan sepertiga laut berubah menjadi darah,

9 And a third part of the creatures that were in the sea--those that had life--died; and a third part of the ships were destroyed.

dan sepertiga mahkluk yang hidup di dalam lautan mati, dan sepertiga dari kapal-kapal yang ada di laut hancur.

10 The third angel blew his trumpet; and there fell from Heaven a great star, which was on fire like a torch. It fell upon a third part of the rivers and upon the springs of water.

Malaikat yang ketiga meniup terompetnya. Sebuah bintang yang sangat besar jatuh dari langit, menyala terang sekali. Bintang itu jatuh menimpa sepertiga dari jumlah sungai dan sumber air yang ada di bumi.

11 The name of the star is 'Wormwood;' and a third part of the waters were turned into wormwood, and vast numbers of the people died from drinking the water, because it had become bitter.

Nama bintang itu adalah Apsintus. Bintang itu menyebabkan sepertiga air di bumi menjadi pahit, dan banyak orang mati karena meminum air itu karena menjadi beracun.

12 Then the fourth angel blew his trumpet; and a curse fell upon a third part of the sun, a third part of the moon, and a third part of the stars, so that a third part of them were darkened and for a third of the day, and also of the night, there was no light.

Malaikat yang ke empat meniup terompetnya. Sepertiga bagian dari matahari, bulan dan bintang-bintang menjadi lebih gelap, dan sepertiga bagian hari tidak akan ada cahaya sehingga tampak seperti malam hari.

13 Then I looked, and I heard a solitary eagle crying in a loud voice, as it flew across the sky, "Alas, alas, alas, for the inhabitants of the earth, because of the significance of the remaining trumpets which the three angels are about to blow!"

Saya melihat dan mendengar seekor burung rajawali terbang di tengah Surga, berteriak dengan kencang, “Bencana, bencana, bencana akan dialami mereka yang tinggal di atas bumi sebab peristiwa yang akan terjadi ketika ketiga malaikat terakhir meniup terompet mereka.”
