Mark 1
1 The beginning of the Good News of Jesus Christ the Son of God.
Αρχή του ευαγγελίου του Ιησού Χριστού, Υιού του Θεού.
2 As it is written in Isaiah the Prophet, "See, I am sending My messenger before Thee, Who will prepare Thy way";
Καθώς είναι γεγραμμένον εν τοις προφήταις· Ιδού, εγώ αποστέλλω τον άγγελόν μου προ προσώπου σου, όστις θέλει κατασκευάσει την οδόν σου έμπροσθέν σου·
3 "The voice of one crying aloud: 'In the Desert prepare a road for the Lord: Make His highways straight.'"
Φωνή βοώντος εν τη ερήμω, ετοιμάσατε την οδόν του Κυρίου, ευθείας κάμετε τας τρίβους αυτού.
4 So John the Baptizer came, and was in the Desert proclaiming a baptism of the penitent for forgiveness of sins.
Ήτο ο Ιωάννης βαπτίζων εν τη ερήμω και κηρύττων βάπτισμα μετανοίας εις άφεσιν αμαρτιών.
5 There went out to him people of all classes from Judaea, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem of all ranks, and were baptized by him in the river Jordan, making open confession of their sins.
Και εξήρχοντο προς αυτόν όλος ο τόπος της Ιουδαίας και οι Ιεροσολυμίται, και εβαπτίζοντο πάντες εν τω Ιορδάνη ποταμώ υπ' αυτού, εξομολογούμενοι τας αμαρτίας αυτών.
6 As for John, his garment was of camel's hair, and he wore a loincloth of leather; and his food was locusts and wild honey.
Ήτο δε ο Ιωάννης ενδεδυμένος τρίχας καμήλου και έχων ζώνην δερματίνην περί την οσφύν αυτού, και τρώγων ακρίδας και μέλι άγριον.
7 His announcement was, "There is One coming after me mightier than I--One whose sandal-strap I am unworthy to stoop down and unfasten.
Και εκήρυττε, λέγων· Έρχεται ο ισχυρότερός μου οπίσω μου, του οποίου δεν είμαι άξιος σκύψας να λύσω το λωρίον των υποδημάτων αυτού.
8 I have baptized you with water, but He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit."
Εγώ μεν σας εβάπτισα εν ύδατι, αυτός δε θέλει σας βαπτίσει εν Πνεύματι Αγίω.
9 At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized by John in the Jordan;
Και εν εκείναις ταις ημέραις ήλθεν ο Ιησούς από Ναζαρέτ της Γαλιλαίας και εβαπτίσθη υπό Ιωάννου εις τον Ιορδάνην.
10 and immediately on His coming up out of the water He saw an opening in the sky, and the Spirit like a dove coming down to Him;
Και ευθύς ενώ ανέβαινεν από του ύδατος, είδε τους ουρανούς σχιζομένους και το Πνεύμα καταβαίνον ως περιστεράν επ' αυτόν·
11 and a voice came from the sky, saying, "Thou art My Son dearly loved: in Thee is My delight."
και φωνή έγεινεν εκ των ουρανών· Συ είσαι ο Υιός μου ο αγαπητός, εις τον οποίον ευηρεστήθην.
12 At once the Spirit impelled Him to go out into the Desert,
Και ευθύς το Πνεύμα εκβάλλει αυτόν εις την έρημον·
13 where He remained for forty days, tempted by Satan; and He was among the wild beasts, but the angels waited upon Him.
και ήτο εκεί εν τη ερήμω ημέρας τεσσαράκοντα πειραζόμενος υπό του Σατανά, και ήτο μετά των θηρίων, και οι άγγελοι υπηρέτουν αυτόν.
14 Then, after John had been thrown into prison, Jesus came into Galilee proclaiming God's Good News.
Αφού δε παρεδόθη ο Ιωάννης, ήλθεν ο Ιησούς εις την Γαλιλαίαν κηρύττων το ευαγγέλιον της βασιλείας του Θεού
15 "The time has fully come," He said, "and the Kingdom of God is close at hand: repent, and believe this Good News.
και λέγων ότι επληρώθη ο καιρός και επλησίασεν η βασιλεία του Θεού· μετανοείτε και πιστεύετε εις το ευαγγέλιον.
16 One day, passing along the shore of the Lake of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew, Simon's brother, throwing their nets in the Lake; for they were fisherman.
Περιπατών δε παρά την θάλασσαν της Γαλιλαίας, είδε τον Σίμωνα και Ανδρέαν τον αδελφόν αυτού, ρίπτοντας δίκτυον εις την θάλασσαν· διότι ήσαν αλιείς·
17 "Come and follow me," said Jesus, "and I will make you fishers for men."
και είπε προς αυτούς ο Ιησούς· Έλθετε οπίσω μου, και θέλω σας κάμει να γείνητε αλιείς ανθρώπων.
18 At once they left their nets and followed Him.
Και ευθύς αφήσαντες τα δίκτυα αυτών, ηκολούθησαν αυτόν.
19 Going on a little further He saw James the son of Zabdi and his brother John: they also were in the boat mending the nets, and He immediately called them.
Και προχωρήσας εκείθεν ολίγον, είδεν Ιάκωβον τον του Ζεβεδαίου και Ιωάννην τον αδελφόν αυτού, και αυτούς εν τω πλοίω επισκευάζοντας τα δίκτυα,
20 They therefore left their father Zabdi in the boat with the hired men, and went and followed Him.
και ευθύς εκάλεσεν αυτούς. Και αφήσαντες τον πατέρα αυτών Ζεβεδαίον εν τω πλοίω μετά των μισθωτών, υπήγον οπίσω αυτού.
21 So they came to Capernaum, and on the next Sabbath He went to the synagogue and began to teach.
Και εισέρχονται εις Καπερναούμ· και ευθύς εν τω σαββάτω εισελθών ο Ιησούς εις την συναγωγήν εδίδασκε.
22 The people listened with amazement to His teaching--for there was authority about it: it was very different from that of the Scribes--
Και εξεπλήττοντο διά την διδαχήν αυτού· διότι εδίδασκεν αυτούς ως έχων εξουσίαν, και ουχί ως οι γραμματείς.
23 when all at once, there in their synagogue, a man under the power of a foul spirit screamed out:
Και ήτο εν τη συναγωγή αυτών άνθρωπος έχων πνεύμα ακάθαρτον, και ανέκραξε,
24 "What have you to do with us, Jesus the Nazarene? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are--God's Holy One."
λέγων· Φευ, τι είναι μεταξύ ημών και σου, Ιησού Ναζαρηνέ; ήλθες να μας απολέσης; σε γνωρίζω τις είσαι, ο Άγιος του Θεού.
25 But Jesus reprimanded him, saying, "Silence! come out of him."
Και επετίμησεν αυτό ο Ιησούς, λέγων· Σιώπα και έξελθε εξ αυτού.
26 So the foul spirit, after throwing the man into convulsions, came out of him with a loud cry.
Και το πνεύμα το ακάθαρτον, αφού εσπάραξεν αυτόν και έκραξε μετά φωνής μεγάλης, εξήλθεν εξ αυτού.
27 And all were amazed and awe-struck, so they began to ask one another, "What does this mean? Here is a new sort of teaching--and a tone of authority! And even to foul spirits he issues orders and they obey him!"
Και πάντες εξεπλάγησαν, ώστε συνεζήτουν προς αλλήλους, λέγοντες· Τι είναι τούτο; τις αύτη η νέα διδαχή, διότι μετά εξουσίας προστάζει και τα ακάθαρτα πνεύματα, και υπακούουσιν εις αυτόν;
28 And His fame spread at once everywhere in all that part of Galilee.
Εξήλθε δε η φήμη αυτού ευθύς εις όλην την περίχωρον της Γαλιλαίας.
29 Then on leaving the synagogue they came at once, with James and John, to the house of Simon and Andrew.
Και ευθύς εξελθόντες εκ της συναγωγής, ήλθον εις την οικίαν Σίμωνος και Ανδρέου μετά του Ιακώβου και Ιωάννου.
30 Now Simon's mother-in-law was ill in bed with a fever, and without delay they informed Him about her.
Η δε πενθερά του Σίμωνος ήτο κατάκοιτος πάσχουσα πυρετόν. Και ευθύς ελάλησαν προς αυτόν περί αυτής.
31 So He went to her, and taking her hand He raised her to her feet: the fever left her, and she began to wait upon them.
Και πλησιάσας ήγειρεν αυτήν πιάσας την χείρα αυτής, και αφήκεν αυτήν ο πυρετός ευθύς, και υπηρέτει αυτούς.
32 When it was evening, after sunset people came bringing Him all who were sick and the demoniacs;
Αφού δε έγεινεν εσπέρα, ότε έδυσεν ο ήλιος, έφεραν προς αυτόν πάντας τους πάσχοντας και τους δαιμονιζομένους·
33 and the whole town was assembled at the door.
και η πόλις όλη ήτο συνηγμένη έμπροσθεν της θύρας·
34 Then He cured numbers of people who were ill with various diseases, and He drove out many demons; not allowing the demons to speak, because they knew who He was.
και εθεράπευσε πολλούς πάσχοντας διαφόρους αρρωστίας, και δαιμόνια πολλά εξέβαλε, και δεν άφινε τα δαιμόνια να λαλώσιν, επειδή εγνώριζον αυτόν.
35 In the morning He rose early, while it was still quite dark, and leaving the house He went away to a solitary place and there prayed.
Και το πρωΐ ενώ ήτο όρθρος βαθύς, σηκωθείς εξήλθε· και υπήγεν εις έρημον τόπον και εκεί προσηύχετο.
36 And Simon and the others searched everywhere for Him.
Και έδραμον κατόπιν αυτού ο Σίμων και οι μετ' αυτού,
37 When they found Him they said, "Every one is looking for you."
και ευρόντες αυτόν λέγουσι προς αυτόν ότι πάντες σε ζητούσι.
38 "Let us go elsewhere, to the neighbouring country towns," He replied, "that I may proclaim my Message there also; because for that purpose I came from God."
Και λέγει προς αυτούς· Ας υπάγωμεν εις τας πλησίον κωμοπόλεις, διά να κηρύξω και εκεί· επειδή διά τούτο εξήλθον.
39 And He went through all Galilee, preaching in the synagogues and expelling the demons.
Και εκήρυττεν εν ταις συναγωγαίς αυτών εις όλην την Γαλιλαίαν και εξέβαλλε τα δαιμόνια.
40 One day there came a leper to Jesus entreating Him, and pleading on his knees. "If you are willing," he said, "you are able to cleanse me."
Και έρχεται προς αυτόν λεπρός παρακαλών αυτόν και γονυπετών έμπροσθεν αυτού και λέγων προς αυτόν ότι, εάν θέλης, δύνασαι να με καθαρίσης.
41 Moved with pity Jesus reached out His hand and touched him. "I am willing," He said; "be cleansed."
Ο δε Ιησούς σπλαγχνισθείς, εξέτεινε την χείρα και ήγγισεν αυτόν και λέγει προς αυτόν· Θέλω, καθαρίσθητι.
42 The leprosy at once left him, and he was cleansed.
Και ως είπε τούτο, ευθύς έφυγεν απ' αυτού η λέπρα, και εκαθαρίσθη.
43 Jesus at once sent him away, strictly charging him,
Και προστάξας αυτόν εντόνως, ευθύς απέπεμψεν αυτόν
44 and saying, "Be careful not to tell any one, but go and show yourself to the Priest, and for your purification present the offerings that Moses appointed as evidence for them."
και λέγει προς αυτόν· Πρόσεχε μη είπης προς μηδένα μηδέν, αλλ' ύπαγε, δείξον σεαυτόν εις τον ιερέα και πρόσφερε περί του καθαρισμού σου όσα προσέταξεν ο Μωϋσής διά μαρτυρίαν εις αυτούς.
45 But the man, when he went out, began to tell every one and to publish the matter abroad, so that it was no longer possible for Jesus to go openly into any town; but He had to remain outside in unfrequented places, where people came to Him from all parts.
Αλλ' εκείνος εξελθών ήρχισε να κηρύττη πολλά και να διαφημίζη τον λόγον, ώστε πλέον δεν ηδύνατο αυτός να εισέλθη φανερά εις πόλιν, αλλ' ήτο έξω εν ερήμοις τόποις· και ήρχοντο προς αυτόν πανταχόθεν.
