Luke 18
1 He also taught them by a parable that they must always pray and never lose heart.
१निराश न होता नेहमी प्रार्थना कशी करावी हे शिष्यांनी शिकावे म्हणून त्याने त्यांना एक दाखला सांगितला.
2 "In a certain town," He said, "there was a judge who had no fear of God and no respect for man.
२तो म्हणाला, “एका नगरात एक न्यायाधीश होता. तो देवाला भीत नसे व लोकांचीही भीड धरीत नसे.
3 And in the same town was a widow who repeatedly came and entreated him, saying, "'Give me justice and stop my oppressor.'
३त्या नगरात एक विधवा होती. ती नेहमी येऊन न्यायधिशाला म्हणत असे, ‘माझ्या विरोधकांविरुद्ध माझा न्याय करा!’
4 "For a time he would not, but afterwards he said to himself, "'Though I have neither reverence for God nor respect for man,
४त्याची इच्छा काही काळ नव्हती पण शेवटी तो मनात म्हणाला, ‘मी जरी देवाला भीत नाही व लोकांस मान देत नाही,
5 yet because she annoys me I will give her justice, to prevent her from constantly coming to pester me.'"
५तरीही विधवा मला त्रास देते म्हणून मी तिचा न्याय करीन, नाही तर ती नेहमी येऊन मला अगदी त्रासून सोडेल.”
6 And the Lord said, "Hear those words of the unjust judge.
६मग प्रभू म्हणाला, “लक्ष्य द्या अन्यायी न्यायाधीश काय म्हणाला.
7 And will not God avenge the wrongs of His own People who cry aloud to Him day and night, although He seems slow in taking action on their behalf?
७आणि मग जे देवाचे निवडलेले लोक दिवसरात्र त्याचा धावा करतात त्यांचा तो न्याय करणार नाही काय? तो त्यांना मदत करण्यास वेळ लावेल का?
8 Yes, He will soon avenge their wrongs. Yet, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on earth?"
८मी तुम्हास सांगतो, तो त्यांचा न्याय लवकर करील, तरीही जेव्हा मनुष्याचा पुत्र येईल, तेव्हा त्यास पृथ्वीवर विश्वास आढळेल काय?”
9 And to some who relied on themselves as being righteous men, and looked down upon all others, He addressed this parable.
९आपण नीतिमान आहोत असा जे कित्येक स्वतःविषयी विश्वास धरून इतर सर्वांस तुच्छ मानीत होते त्यांनाही त्याने दाखला सांगितला, तो असा,
10 "Two men went up to the Temple to pray," He said; "one being a Pharisee and the other a tax-gatherer.
१०“दोन जण प्रार्थना करण्यास वर परमेश्वराच्या भवनात गेले. एक परूशी होता आणि दुसरा जकातदार होता.
11 The Pharisee, standing erect, prayed as follows by himself: "'O God, I thank Thee that I am not like other people--I am not a thief nor a cheat nor an adulterer, nor do I even resemble this tax-gatherer.
११परूशी उभा राहिला आणि त्याने अशी प्रार्थना केली, ‘हे देवा, मी तुझे उपकार मानतो कारण, मी इतर लोकांसारखा म्हणजे चोर, अन्यायी, व्यभिचारी व या जकातदारासारखा नाही.
12 I fast twice a week. I pay the tithe on all my gains.'
१२उलट मी आठवड्यातून दोनदा उपवास करतो आणि माझ्या सर्व उत्त्पन्नाचा दहावा भाग देतो.’
13 "But the tax-gatherer, standing far back, would not so much as lift his eyes to Heaven, but kept beating his breast and saying, "'O God, be reconciled to me, sinner that I am.'
१३परंतु जकातदार दूर अंतरावर उभा राहून वर स्वर्गाकडे दृष्टी लावण्यास देखील न धजता आपला ऊर बडवत म्हणाला, ‘हे देवा मज पाप्यावर दया कर.’
14 "I tell you that this man went home more thoroughly absolved from guilt than the other; for every one who uplifts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be uplifted."
१४मी तुम्हास सांगतो हा मनुष्य त्या दुसऱ्या मनुष्यापेक्षा न्यायी ठरुन घरी गेला कारण जो कोणी स्वतःला उंच करतो त्यास कमी केले जाईल आणि जो कोणी स्वतःला कमी करतो त्यास उंच केले जाईल.”
15 On one occasion people also brought with them their infants, for Him to touch them; but the disciples, noticing this, proceeded to find fault with them.
१५आणि लोक आपल्या मुलांनाही त्याच्याकडे स्पर्श करण्यास आणत असता हे शिष्यांनी पहिल्यावर त्यांनी लोकांस धमकावले.
16 Jesus however called the infants to Him. "Let the little children come to me," He said; "do not hinder them; for it is to those who are childlike that the Kingdom of God belongs.
१६पण येशू बालकांना स्वतःकडे बोलवून म्हणाला, “बालकांना माझ्याकडे येऊ द्या. त्यांना अडवू नका कारण देवाचे राज्य त्यांच्यासारख्यांचेच आहे.
17 I tell you in solemn truth that, whoever does not receive the Kingdom of God like a little child will certainly not enter it."
१७मी तुम्हास खरे सांगतो, जो कोणी बालकाप्रमाणे देवाच्या राज्याचा स्वीकार करणार नाही, त्याचा स्वर्गात प्रवेश होऊ शकणार नाही.”
18 The question was put to Him by a Ruler: "Good Rabbi, what shall I do to inherit the Life of the Ages?" (aiōnios g166)
१८एका यहूदी अधिकाऱ्याने त्यास विचारले, “उत्तम गुरुजी, सार्वकालिक जीवन मिळविण्यासाठी मी काय करू?” (aiōnios g166)
19 "Why do you call me good?" replied Jesus; "there is no one good but One, namely God.
१९येशू त्यास म्हणाला, “मला उत्तम का म्हणतोस? देवाशिवाय कोणीही उत्तम नाही.
20 You know the Commandments: 'Do not commit adultery;' 'Do not murder;' 'Do not steal;' 'Do not lie in giving evidence;' 'Honour thy father and thy mother.'"
२०तुला आज्ञा माहीत आहेत ‘व्यभिचार करू नको, खून करू नको, चोरी करू नको, खोटी साक्ष देऊ नको, तुझ्या आई-वडीलांचा मान राख.”
21 "All of those," he replied, "I have kept from my youth."
२१तो अधिकारी म्हणाला, “या सर्व आज्ञा मी माझ्या तरुणपणासून पाळल्या आहेत.”
22 On receiving this answer Jesus said to him, "There is still one thing wanting in you. Sell everything you possess and give the money to the poor, and you shall have wealth in Heaven; and then come, follow me."
२२जेव्हा येशूने हे ऐकले, तेव्हा तो त्यास म्हणाला, “तुझ्यामध्ये अजून एका गोष्टीची कमी आहे. तुझ्याजवळचे सर्वकाही विकून ते गरिबांना वाट, म्हणजे स्वर्गात तुला धन मिळेल. मग ये. माझ्यामागे चल.”
23 But on hearing these words he was deeply sorrowful, for he was exceedingly rich.
२३पण जेव्हा त्या अधिकाऱ्याने हे ऐकले तेव्हा तो फार दुःखी झाला, कारण तो फार श्रीमंत होता.
24 Jesus saw his sorrow, and said, "With how hard a struggle do the possessors of riches ever enter the Kingdom of God!
२४तो दुःखी झाला आहे हे जेव्हा येशूने पाहिले तेव्हा तो लोकांस म्हणाला, “ज्यांच्याजवळ धन आहे, त्या लोकांचा देवाच्या राज्यात प्रवेश होणे किती कठीण आहे!
25 Why, it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God."
२५होय, श्रीमंत मनुष्याचे देवाच्या राज्यात प्रवेश करणे यापेक्षा उंटाने सुईच्या नाकातून जाणे सोपे आहे.”
26 "Who then can be saved?" exclaimed the hearers.
२६नंतर ज्या लोकांनी हे ऐकले, ते म्हणाले, “तर मग कोणाचे तारण होईल?”
27 "Things impossible with man," He replied, "are possible with God."
२७तो म्हणाला, “ज्या गोष्टी मनुष्यांना अशक्य आहेत त्या देवाला शक्य आहेत.”
28 Then Peter said, "See, we have given up our homes and have followed you."
२८मग पेत्र म्हणाला, “बघा, आमच्याकडे जे होते, ते सर्व टाकून आम्ही तुमच्यामागे आलो आहोत.”
29 "I solemnly tell you," replied Jesus, "that there is no one who has left house or wife, or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of God's Kingdom,
२९येशूने त्यांना म्हटले, “मी तुम्हास खरे सांगतो, देवाच्या राज्याकरता ज्याने आपले घर, पत्नी, भाऊ, आई-वडील किंवा मुलेबाळ सोडली
31 Then He drew the Twelve to Him and said, "See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and everything written in the Prophets which refers to the Son of Man will be fulfilled.
३१येशूने निवडलेल्या बाराजणांना बाजूला घेतले आणि त्यांना म्हणाला, “ऐका! आपण वर यरूशलेम शहरात जात आहोत आणि संदेष्टयांनी मनुष्याच्या पुत्राविषयी जे काही लिहिले होते ते सर्व पूर्ण होईल.
32 For He will be given up to the Gentiles, and be mocked, outraged and spit upon.
३२म्हणजे त्यास परराष्ट्रीयांच्या स्वाधीन करतील, त्याची थट्टा होईल, त्याची निंदा करतील, त्याच्यावर थुंकतील
33 They will scourge Him and put Him to death, and on the third day He will rise to life again."
३३त्यास फटके मारतील, त्याचा जीव घेतील आणि तो तिसऱ्या दिवशी पुन्हा उठेल.”
34 Nothing of this did they understand. The words were a mystery to them, nor could they see what He meant.
३४त्याने म्हटलेले काहीच शिष्यांना समजले नाही कारण हे वचन त्यांच्यापासून लपवून ठेवण्यात आले होते आणि तो कोणत्या गोष्टीविषयी बोलत आहे हे त्यांना माहीत नव्हते.
35 As Jesus came near to Jericho, there was a blind man sitting by the way-side begging.
३५येशू यरीहोजवळ येत असतांना एक आंधळा रस्त्यावर बसून भीक मागत होता.
36 He heard a crowd of people going past, and inquired what it all meant.
३६जेव्हा त्या आंधळ्या मनुष्याने जवळून जाणाऱ्या लोकांचा आवाज ऐकला तेव्हा त्याने विचारले, ही कशाची गडबड चालली आहे.
37 "Jesus the Nazarene is passing by," they told him.
३७लोकांनी त्यास सांगितले, “नासरेथकर येशू जवळून जात आहे.”
38 Then, at the top of his voice, he cried out, "Jesus, son of David, take pity on me."
३८तो ओरडून म्हणाला, “अहो येशू, दाविदाचे पुत्र माझ्यावर दया करा.”
39 Those in front reproved him and tried to silence him; but he continued shouting, louder than ever, "Son of David, take pity on me."
३९जे पुढे चालले होते त्यांनी त्यास शांत राहण्यास सांगितले. पण तो अजून मोठ्याने ओरडून म्हणाला, “दाविदाचे पुत्र माझ्यावर दया करा!”
40 At length Jesus stopped and desired them to bring the man to Him; and when he had come close to Him He asked him,
४०येशू थांबला आणि त्याने आंधळ्याला स्वतःकडे आणण्याची आज्ञा केली, तो आंधळा जवळ आल्यावर येशूने त्यास विचारले,
41 "What shall I do for you?" "Sir," he replied, "let me recover my sight."
४१“मी तुझ्यासाठी काय करावे म्हणून तुझी इच्छा आहे?” तो म्हणाला, “प्रभू मला पुन्हा दृष्टी यावी.”
42 "Recover your sight," said Jesus: "your faith has cured you."
४२येशू त्यास म्हणाला, “तुला दृष्टी येवो, तुझ्या विश्वासाने तुला चांगले केले आहे.”
43 No sooner were the words spoken than the man regained his sight and followed Jesus, giving glory to God; and all the people, seeing it, gave praise to God.
४३ताबडतोब त्यास दिसू लागले आणि तो देवाचे गौरव करीत येशूच्या मागे गेला. सर्व लोकांनी हे पाहिले आणि देवाची स्तुती केली.
