Luke 10
1 After this the Lord appointed seventy others, and sent them before Him, by twos, to go to every town or place which He Himself intended to visit.
தத: பரம்’ ப்ரபு⁴ரபராந் ஸப்ததிஸி²ஷ்யாந் நியுஜ்ய ஸ்வயம்’ யாநி நக³ராணி யாநி ஸ்தா²நாநி ச க³மிஷ்யதி தாநி நக³ராணி தாநி ஸ்தா²நாநி ச ப்ரதி த்³வௌ த்³வௌ ஜநௌ ப்ரஹிதவாந்|
2 And He addressed them thus: "The harvest is abundant, but the reapers are few: therefore entreat the Owner of the harvest to send out more reapers into His fields. And now go.
தேப்⁴ய: கத²யாமாஸ ச ஸ²ஸ்யாநி ப³ஹூநீதி ஸத்யம்’ கிந்து சே²த³கா அல்பே; தஸ்மாத்³தே⁴தோ: ஸ²ஸ்யக்ஷேத்ரே சே²த³காந் அபராநபி ப்ரேஷயிதும்’ க்ஷேத்ரஸ்வாமிநம்’ ப்ரார்த²யத்⁴வம்’|
3 Remember that I am sending you out as lambs into the midst of wolves.
யூயம்’ யாத, பஸ்²யத, வ்ரு’காணாம்’ மத்⁴யே மேஷஸா²வகாநிவ யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரஹிணோமி|
4 Carry no purse, bag, nor change of shoes; and salute no one on your way."
யூயம்’ க்ஷுத்³ரம்’ மஹத்³ வா வஸநஸம்புடகம்’ பாது³காஸ்²ச மா க்³ரு’ஹ்லீத, மார்க³மத்⁴யே கமபி மா நமத ச|
5 "Whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace be to this house!'
அபரஞ்ச யூயம்’ யத்³ யத் நிவேஸ²நம்’ ப்ரவிஸ²த² தத்ர நிவேஸ²நஸ்யாஸ்ய மங்க³லம்’ பூ⁴யாதி³தி வாக்யம்’ ப்ரத²மம்’ வத³த|
6 And if there is a lover of peace there, your peace shall rest upon it; otherwise come back upon you.
தஸ்மாத் தஸ்மிந் நிவேஸ²நே யதி³ மங்க³லபாத்ரம்’ ஸ்தா²ஸ்யதி தர்ஹி தந்மங்க³லம்’ தஸ்ய ப⁴விஷ்யதி, நோசேத் யுஷ்மாந் ப்ரதி பராவர்த்திஷ்யதே|
7 And in that same house stay, eating and drinking at their table; for the labourer deserves his wages. Do not move from one house to another.
அபரஞ்ச தே யத்கிஞ்சித்³ தா³ஸ்யந்தி ததே³வ பு⁴க்த்வா பீத்வா தஸ்மிந்நிவேஸ²நே ஸ்தா²ஸ்யத²; யத: கர்ம்மகாரீ ஜநோ ப்⁴ரு’திம் அர்ஹதி; க்³ரு’ஹாத்³ க்³ரு’ஹம்’ மா யாஸ்யத²|
8 "And whatever town you come to and they receive you, eat what they put before you.
அந்யச்ச யுஷ்மாஸு கிமபி நக³ரம்’ ப்ரவிஷ்டேஷு லோகா யதி³ யுஷ்மாகம் ஆதித்²யம்’ கரிஷ்யந்தி, தர்ஹி யத் கா²த்³யம் உபஸ்தா²ஸ்யந்தி ததே³வ கா²தி³ஷ்யத²|
9 Cure the sick in that town, and tell them, "'The Kingdom of God is now at your door.'
தந்நக³ரஸ்தா²ந் ரோகி³ண: ஸ்வஸ்தா²ந் கரிஷ்யத², ஈஸ்²வரீயம்’ ராஜ்யம்’ யுஷ்மாகம் அந்திகம் ஆக³மத் கதா²மேதாஞ்ச ப்ரசாரயிஷ்யத²|
10 "But whatever town you come to and they will not receive you, go out into the broader streets and say,
கிந்து கிமபி புரம்’ யுஷ்மாஸு ப்ரவிஷ்டேஷு லோகா யதி³ யுஷ்மாகம் ஆதித்²யம்’ ந கரிஷ்யந்தி, தர்ஹி தஸ்ய நக³ரஸ்ய பந்தா²நம்’ க³த்வா கதா²மேதாம்’ வதி³ஷ்யத²,
11 "'The very dust of your town that hangs about us we wipe off as a protest. Only be sure of this, that the Kingdom of God is close at hand.'
யுஷ்மாகம்’ நக³ரீயா யா தூ⁴ல்யோ(அ)ஸ்மாஸு ஸமலக³ந் தா அபி யுஷ்மாகம்’ ப்ராதிகூல்யேந ஸாக்ஷ்யார்த²ம்’ ஸம்பாதயாம: ; ததா²பீஸ்²வரராஜ்யம்’ யுஷ்மாகம்’ ஸமீபம் ஆக³தம் இதி நிஸ்²சிதம்’ ஜாநீத|
12 "I tell you that it will be more endurable for Sodom on the great day than for that town.
அஹம்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ கத²யாமி, விசாரதி³நே தஸ்ய நக³ரஸ்ய த³ஸா²த: ஸிதோ³மோ த³ஸா² ஸஹ்யா ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
13 "Alas for thee, Chorazin! Alas for thee, Bethsaida! For had the miracles been performed in Tyre and Sidon which have been performed in you, long ere now they would have repented, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.
ஹா ஹா கோராஸீந் நக³ர, ஹா ஹா பை³த்ஸைதா³நக³ர யுவயோர்மத்⁴யே யாத்³ரு’ஸா²நி ஆஸ்²சர்ய்யாணி கர்ம்மாண்யக்ரியந்த, தாநி கர்ம்மாணி யதி³ ஸோரஸீதோ³நோ ர்நக³ரயோரகாரிஷ்யந்த, ததா³ இதோ ப³ஹுதி³நபூர்வ்வம்’ தந்நிவாஸிந: ஸ²ணவஸ்த்ராணி பரிதா⁴ய கா³த்ரேஷு ப⁴ஸ்ம விலிப்ய ஸமுபவிஸ்²ய ஸமகே²த்ஸ்யந்த|
14 However, for Tyre and Sidon it will be more endurable at the Judgement than for you.
அதோ விசாரதி³வஸே யுஷ்மாகம்’ த³ஸா²த: ஸோரஸீதோ³ந்நிவாஸிநாம்’ த³ஸா² ஸஹ்யா ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
15 And thou, Capernaum, shalt thou be lifted high as Heaven? Thou shalt be driven down as low as Hades. (Hadēs g86)
ஹே கப²ர்நாஹூம், த்வம்’ ஸ்வர்க³ம்’ யாவத்³ உந்நதா கிந்து நரகம்’ யாவத் ந்யக்³ப⁴விஷ்யஸி| (Hadēs g86)
16 "He who listens to you listens to me; and he who disregards you disregards me, and he who disregards me disregards Him who sent me."
யோ ஜநோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ வாக்யம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லாதி ஸ மமைவ வாக்யம்’ க்³ரு’ஹ்லாதி; கிஞ்ச யோ ஜநோ யுஷ்மாகம் அவஜ்ஞாம்’ கரோதி ஸ மமைவாவஜ்ஞாம்’ கரோதி; யோ ஜநோ மமாவஜ்ஞாம்’ கரோதி ச ஸ மத்ப்ரேரகஸ்யைவாவஜ்ஞாம்’ கரோதி|
17 When the Seventy returned, they exclaimed joyfully, "Master, even the demons submit to us when we utter your name."
அத² தே ஸப்ததிஸி²ஷ்யா ஆநந்தே³ந ப்ரத்யாக³த்ய கத²யாமாஸு: , ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ ப⁴வதோ நாம்நா பூ⁴தா அப்யஸ்மாகம்’ வஸீ²ப⁴வந்தி|
18 "I saw Satan fall like a lightning-flash out of Heaven," He replied.
ததா³நீம்’ ஸ தாந் ஜகா³த³, வித்³யுதமிவ ஸ்வர்கா³த் பதந்தம்’ ஸை²தாநம் அத³ர்ஸ²ம்|
19 "I have given you power to tread serpents and scorpions underfoot, and to trample on all the power of the Enemy; and in no case shall anything do you harm.
பஸ்²யத ஸர்பாந் வ்ரு’ஸ்²சிகாந் ரிபோ: ஸர்வ்வபராக்ரமாம்’ஸ்²ச பத³தலை ர்த³லயிதும்’ யுஷ்மப்⁴யம்’ ஸ²க்திம்’ த³தா³மி தஸ்மாத்³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ காபி ஹாநி ர்ந ப⁴விஷ்யதி|
20 Nevertheless rejoice not at this, that the spirits submit to you; but rejoice that your names are registered in Heaven."
பூ⁴தா யுஷ்மாகம்’ வஸீ²ப⁴வந்தி, ஏதந்நிமித்தத் மா ஸமுல்லஸத, ஸ்வர்கே³ யுஷ்மாகம்’ நாமாநி லிகி²தாநி ஸந்தீதி நிமித்தம்’ ஸமுல்லஸத|
21 On that same occasion Jesus was filled by the Holy Spirit with rapturous joy. "I give Thee fervent thanks," He exclaimed, "O Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that Thou hast hidden these things from sages and men of understanding, and hast revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for such has been Thy gracious will.
தத்³க⁴டிகாயாம்’ யீஸு² ர்மநஸி ஜாதாஹ்லாத³: கத²யாமாஸ ஹே ஸ்வர்க³ப்ரு’தி²வ்யோரேகாதி⁴பதே பிதஸ்த்வம்’ ஜ்ஞாநவதாம்’ விது³ஷாஞ்ச லோகாநாம்’ புரஸ்தாத் ஸர்வ்வமேதத்³ அப்ரகாஸ்²ய பா³லகாநாம்’ புரஸ்தாத் ப்ராகாஸ²ய ஏதஸ்மாத்³தே⁴தோஸ்த்வாம்’ த⁴ந்யம்’ வதா³மி, ஹே பிதரித்த²ம்’ ப⁴வது யத்³ ஏததே³வ தவ கோ³சர உத்தமம்|
22 All things are delivered to me by my Father; and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, nor who the Father is but the Son, and he to whom the Son may choose to reveal Him."
பித்ரா ஸர்வ்வாணி மயி ஸமர்பிதாநி பிதரம்’ விநா கோபி புத்ரம்’ ந ஜாநாதி கிஞ்ச புத்ரம்’ விநா யஸ்மை ஜநாய புத்ரஸ்தம்’ ப்ரகாஸி²தவாந் தஞ்ச விநா கோபி பிதரம்’ ந ஜாநாதி|
23 And He turned towards His disciples and said to them apart, "Blessed are the eyes which see what you see!
தப: பரம்’ ஸ ஸி²ஷ்யாந் ப்ரதி பராவ்ரு’த்ய கு³ப்தம்’ ஜகா³த³, யூயமேதாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி பஸ்²யத² ததோ யுஷ்மாகம்’ சக்ஷூம்’ஷி த⁴ந்யாநி|
24 For I tell you that many Prophets and kings have desired to see the things you see, and have not seen them, and to hear the things you hear, and have not heard them."
யுஷ்மாநஹம்’ வதா³மி, யூயம்’ யாநி ஸர்வ்வாணி பஸ்²யத² தாநி ப³ஹவோ ப⁴விஷ்யத்³வாதி³நோ பூ⁴பதயஸ்²ச த்³ரஷ்டுமிச்ச²ந்தோபி த்³ரஷ்டும்’ ந ப்ராப்நுவந், யுஷ்மாபி⁴ ர்யா யா: கதா²ஸ்²ச ஸ்²ரூயந்தே தா: ஸ்²ரோதுமிச்ச²ந்தோபி ஸ்²ரோதும்’ நாலப⁴ந்த|
25 Then an expounder of the Law stood up to test Him with a question. "Rabbi," he asked, "what shall I do to inherit the Life of the Ages?" (aiōnios g166)
அநந்தரம் ஏகோ வ்யவஸ்தா²பக உத்தா²ய தம்’ பரீக்ஷிதும்’ பப்ரச்ச², ஹே உபதே³ஸ²க அநந்தாயுஷ: ப்ராப்தயே மயா கிம்’ கரணீயம்’? (aiōnios g166)
26 "Go to the Law," said Jesus; "what is written there? how does it read?"
யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யுவாச, அத்ரார்தே² வ்யவஸ்தா²யாம்’ கிம்’ லிகி²தமஸ்தி? த்வம்’ கீத்³ரு’க் பட²ஸி?
27 "'Thou shalt love the Lord thy God,'" he replied, "'with thy whole heart, thy whole soul, thy whole strength, and thy whole mind; and thy fellow man as much as thyself.'"
தத: ஸோவத³த், த்வம்’ ஸர்வ்வாந்த: கரணை: ஸர்வ்வப்ராணை: ஸர்வ்வஸ²க்திபி⁴: ஸர்வ்வசித்தைஸ்²ச ப்ரபௌ⁴ பரமேஸ்²வரே ப்ரேம குரு, ஸமீபவாஸிநி ஸ்வவத் ப்ரேம குரு ச|
28 "A right answer," said Jesus; "do that, and you shall live."
ததா³ ஸ கத²யாமாஸ, த்வம்’ யதா²ர்த²ம்’ ப்ரத்யவோச: , இத்த²ம் ஆசர தேநைவ ஜீவிஷ்யஸி|
29 But he, desiring to justify himself, said, "But what is meant by my 'fellow man'?"
கிந்து ஸ ஜந: ஸ்வம்’ நிர்த்³தோ³ஷம்’ ஜ்ஞாபயிதும்’ யீஸு²ம்’ பப்ரச்ச², மம ஸமீபவாஸீ க: ? ததோ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யுவாச,
30 Jesus replied, "A man was once on his way down from Jerusalem to Jericho when he fell among robbers, who after both stripping and beating him went away, leaving him half dead.
ஏகோ ஜநோ யிரூஸா²லம்புராத்³ யிரீஹோபுரம்’ யாதி, ஏதர்ஹி த³ஸ்யூநாம்’ கரேஷு பதிதே தே தஸ்ய வஸ்த்ராதி³கம்’ ஹ்ரு’தவந்த: தமாஹத்ய ம்ரு’தப்ராயம்’ க்ரு’த்வா த்யக்த்வா யயு: |
31 Now a priest happened to be going down that way, and on seeing him passed by on the other side.
அகஸ்மாத்³ ஏகோ யாஜகஸ்தேந மார்கே³ண க³ச்ச²ந் தம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வா மார்கா³ந்யபார்ஸ்²வேந ஜகா³ம|
32 In like manner a Levite also came to the place, and seeing him passed by on the other side.
இத்த²ம் ஏகோ லேவீயஸ்தத்ஸ்தா²நம்’ ப்ராப்ய தஸ்யாந்திகம்’ க³த்வா தம்’ விலோக்யாந்யேந பார்ஸ்²வேந ஜகா³ம|
33 But a certain Samaritan, being on a journey, came where he lay, and seeing him was moved with pity.
கிந்த்வேக: ஸோ²மிரோணீயோ க³ச்ச²ந் தத்ஸ்தா²நம்’ ப்ராப்ய தம்’ த்³ரு’ஷ்ட்வாத³யத|
34 He went to him, and dressed his wounds with oil and wine and bound them up. Then placing him on his own mule he brought him to an inn, where he bestowed every care on him.
தஸ்யாந்திகம்’ க³த்வா தஸ்ய க்ஷதேஷு தைலம்’ த்³ராக்ஷாரஸஞ்ச ப்ரக்ஷிப்ய க்ஷதாநி ப³த்³த்⁴வா நிஜவாஹநோபரி தமுபவேஸ்²ய ப்ரவாஸீயக்³ரு’ஹம் ஆநீய தம்’ ஸிஷேவே|
35 The next day he took out two shillings and gave them to the innkeeper. "'Take care of him,' he said, 'and whatever further expense you are put to, I will repay it you at my next visit.'
பரஸ்மிந் தி³வஸே நிஜக³மநகாலே த்³வௌ முத்³ராபாதௌ³ தத்³க்³ரு’ஹஸ்வாமிநே த³த்த்வாவத³த் ஜநமேநம்’ ஸேவஸ்வ தத்ர யோ(அ)தி⁴கோ வ்யயோ ப⁴விஷ்யதி தமஹம்’ புநராக³மநகாலே பரிஸோ²த்ஸ்யாமி|
36 "Which of those three seems to you to have acted like a fellow man to him who fell among the robbers?"
ஏஷாம்’ த்ரயாணாம்’ மத்⁴யே தஸ்ய த³ஸ்யுஹஸ்தபதிதஸ்ய ஜநஸ்ய ஸமீபவாஸீ க: ? த்வயா கிம்’ பு³த்⁴யதே?
37 "The one who showed him pity," he replied. "Go," said Jesus, "and act in the same way."
தத: ஸ வ்யவஸ்தா²பக: கத²யாமாஸ யஸ்தஸ்மிந் த³யாம்’ சகார| ததா³ யீஸு²: கத²யாமாஸ த்வமபி க³த்வா ததா²சர|
38 As they pursued their journey He came to a certain village, where a woman named Martha welcomed Him to her house.
தத: பரம்’ தே க³ச்ச²ந்த ஏகம்’ க்³ராமம்’ ப்ரவிவிஸு²: ; ததா³ மர்தா²நாமா ஸ்த்ரீ ஸ்வக்³ரு’ஹே தஸ்யாதித்²யம்’ சகார|
39 She had a sister called Mary, who seated herself at the Lord's feet and listened to His teaching.
தஸ்மாத் மரியம் நாமதே⁴யா தஸ்யா ப⁴கி³நீ யீஸோ²: பத³ஸமீப உவவிஸ்²ய தஸ்யோபதே³ஸ²கதா²ம்’ ஸ்²ரோதுமாரேபே⁴|
40 Martha meanwhile was busy and distracted in waiting at table, and she came and said, "Master, do you not care that my sister is leaving me to do all the waiting? Tell her to assist me."
கிந்து மர்தா² நாநாபரிசர்ய்யாயாம்’ வ்யக்³ரா ப³பூ⁴வ தஸ்மாத்³தே⁴தோஸ்தஸ்ய ஸமீபமாக³த்ய ப³பா⁴ஷே; ஹே ப்ரபோ⁴ மம ப⁴கி³நீ கேவலம்’ மமோபரி ஸர்வ்வகர்ம்மணாம்’ பா⁴ரம் அர்பிதவதீ தத்ர ப⁴வதா கிஞ்சித³பி ந மநோ நிதீ⁴யதே கிம்? மம ஸாஹாய்யம்’ கர்த்தும்’ ப⁴வாந் தாமாதி³ஸ²து|
41 "Martha, Martha," replied Jesus, "you are anxious and worried about a multitude of things;
ததோ யீஸு²: ப்ரத்யுவாச ஹே மர்தே² ஹே மர்தே², த்வம்’ நாநாகார்ய்யேஷு சிந்திதவதீ வ்யக்³ரா சாஸி,
42 and yet only one thing is really necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion and she shall not be deprived of it."
கிந்து ப்ரயோஜநீயம் ஏகமாத்ரம் ஆஸ்தே| அபரஞ்ச யமுத்தமம்’ பா⁴க³ம்’ கோபி ஹர்த்தும்’ ந ஸ²க்நோதி ஸஏவ மரியமா வ்ரு’த: |
