1 John 1
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have listened to, which we have seen with our own eyes, and our own hands have handled concerning the Word of Life--
太初より有りし所のもの、我等が聞きしところ、目にて見し所、つらつら視て手觸りし所のもの、即ち生命の言につきて、
2 the Life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness, and we declare unto you the Life of the Ages which was with the Father and was manifested to us-- (aiōnios g166)
――この生命すでに顯れ、われら之を見て證をなし、その曾て父と偕に在して、今われらに顯れ給へる永遠の生命を汝らに告ぐ―― (aiōnios g166)
3 that which we have seen and listened to we now announce to you also, in order that you also may have fellowship in it with us, and this fellowship with us is fellowship with the Father and with His Son Jesus Christ.
我らの見しところ聞きし所を汝らに告ぐ、これ汝 等をも我らの交際に與らしめん爲なり。我らは父および其の子イエス・キリストの交際に與るなり。
4 And we write these things in order that our joy may be made complete.
此 等のことを書き贈るは、我らの喜悦の滿ちん爲なり。
5 This is the Message which we have heard from the Lord Jesus and now deliver to you--God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness.
我らが彼より聞きて、また汝らに告ぐる音信は是なり、即ち神は光にして少しの暗き所なし。
6 If, while we are living in darkness, we profess to have fellowship with Him, we speak falsely and are not adhering to the truth.
もし神と交際ありと言ひて暗きうちを歩まば、我ら僞りて眞理を行はざるなり。
7 But if we live in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, His Son, cleanses us from all sin.
もし神の光のうちに在すごとく光のうちを歩まば、我ら互に交際を得、また其の子イエスの血、すべての罪より我らを潔む。
8 If we claim to be already free from sin, we lead ourselves astray and the truth has no place in our hearts.
もし罪なしと言はば、是みづから欺けるにて眞理われらの中になし。
9 If we confess our sins, He is so faithful and just that He forgives us our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
もし己の罪を言ひあらはさば、神は眞實にして正しければ、我らの罪を赦し、凡ての不義より我らを潔め給はん。
10 If we deny that we have sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Message has no place in our hearts.
もし罪を犯したる事なしといはば、これ神を僞 者とするなり、神の言われらの中になし。
