Luke 17
1 Then he said to the disciples, It is impossible but that causes of sin will come: but woe [to him] by whom they come!
E disse aos discípulos: É impossível que não venham tentações para o pecado, mas ai [daquele] por quem [essas tentações] vierem!
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.
Melhor lhe seria que lhe atasse ao pescoço uma grande pedra de moinho, e fosse lançado no mar, do que conduzir ao pecado um destes pequenos.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent forgive him.
Olhai por vós. E se teu irmão pecar contra ti, repreende-o; e se ele se arrepender, perdoa-lhe.
4 And if he shall trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day shall turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
E se pecar contra ti sete vezes ao dia, e se sete vezes ao dia voltar a ti, dizendo: Estou arrependido. Perdoa-lhe.
5 And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
E os apóstolos disseram ao Senhor: Acrescenta-nos fé.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this sycamine-tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
E o Senhor disse: Se tivésseis fé como um grão de mostarda, diríeis a esta árvore de amoras: Arranca-te daqui pelas tuas raízes, e planta-te no mar, ela vos obedeceria.
7 But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?
E qual de vós terá um servo, lavrando ou apascentando [gado] que, voltando do campo, logo lhe diga: Chega, e senta [à mesa].
8 And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
E não lhe diga antes: Prepara-me o jantar, e apronta-te, e serve-me, até que eu tenha comido e bebido; e depois, que tu comas e bebas.
9 Doth he thank that servant, because he did the things that were commanded him? I suppose not.
Por acaso [o senhor] agradece a tal servo, porque fez o que lhe foi mandado?
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all the things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which it was our duty to do.
Assim também vós, quando fizerdes tudo o que vos for mandado, dizei: Somos servos inúteis, porque fizemos [somente] o que devíamos fazer.
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
E aconteceu que, indo ele para Jerusalém, passou por meio da Samaria e da Galileia.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood at a distance.
E entrando em uma certa aldeia, saíram-lhe ao encontro dez homens leprosos, os quais pararam de longe.
13 And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
E levantaram a voz, dizendo: Jesus, Mestre, tem misericórdia de nós!
14 And when he saw [them], he said to them, Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that as they were going, they were cleansed.
E ele, vendo-os, disse-lhes: Ide, e mostrai-vos aos sacerdotes. E aconteceu que, enquanto eles iam, ficaram limpos.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
E vendo um deles que estava são, voltou, glorificando a Deus a alta voz.
16 And fell down on [his] face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
E caiu com o rosto a seus pés, agradecendo-lhe; e este era samaritano.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine?
E respondendo Jesus, disse: Não foram os dez limpos? E onde estão os nove?
18 There are not found returning to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Não houve quem voltasse para dar glória a Deus, a não ser este estrangeiro?
19 And he said to him, Arise, depart: thy faith hath made thee whole.
E disse-lhe: Levanta-te, e vai; tua fé te salvou.
20 And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.
E perguntado pelos fariseus [sobre] quando o Reino de Deus viria, respondeu-lhes, e disse: O Reino de Deus não vem com aparência visível.
21 Neither will they say, Lo here! or lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
Nem dirão: Eis aqui, ou Eis ali, porque eis que o Reino de Deus está entre vós.
22 And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the son of man, and ye shall not see [it].
E disse aos discípulos: Dias virão, quando desejareis ver um dos dias do Filho do homem, e não [o] vereis.
23 And they will say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them], nor follow them.
E vos dirão: Eis que [ele está] aqui, ou Eis que [ele está] ali, não vades, nem sigais.
24 For as the lightning that lighteneth from the one [part] under heaven, shineth to the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Porque como o relâmpago, que relampeja desde o começo do céu, e brilha até ao fim do céu, assim será também o Filho do homem em seu dia.
25 But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
Mas é necessário primeiro sofrer muito, e ser rejeitado por esta geração.
26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
E como aconteceu nos dias de Noé, assim será também nos dias do Filho do homem.
27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
Comiam, bebiam, se casavam, e se davam em casamento, até o dia em que Noé entrou na arca; e veio o dilúvio, e destruiu a todos.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
Como também da mesma maneira aconteceu nos dias de Ló, comiam, bebiam, compravam, vendiam, plantavam, [e] construíam.
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all:
Mas o dia em que Ló saiu de Sodoma, choveu fogo e enxofre do céu, e destruiu a todos.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Assim será [também] no dia em que o Filho do homem se manifestar.
31 In that day, he who shall be upon the house-top, and his furniture in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Naquele dia, o que estiver no telhado, e suas ferramentas em casa, não desça para pegá-las; e o que [estiver] no campo, não volte para trás.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
Lembrai-vos da mulher de Ló.
33 Whoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it.
Qualquer que procurar salvar sua vida a perderá; e qualquer que a perder, irá salvá-la.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two [men] in one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left.
Digo-vos que naquela noite, dois estarão em uma cama; um será tomado, e o outro será deixado.
35 Two [women] will be grinding together; the one will be taken, and the other left.
Duas estarão juntas moendo; uma será tomada, e a outra será deixada.
36 Two [men] will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left.
37 And they answered and said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body [is], thither will the eagles be collected.
E respondendo, disseram-lhe: Onde, Senhor? E ele lhes disse: Onde estiver o corpo, ali os abutres se juntarão.
