Luke 17
1 Then he said to the disciples, It is impossible but that causes of sin will come: but woe [to him] by whom they come!
Είπε δε προς τους μαθητάς· Αδύνατον είναι να μη έλθωσι τα σκάνδαλα· πλην ουαί εις εκείνον, διά του οποίου έρχονται.
2 It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should cause one of these little ones to fall into sin.
Συμφέρει εις αυτόν να κρεμασθή περί τον τράχηλον αυτού μύλου πέτρα και να ριφθή εις την θάλασσαν, παρά να σκανδαλίση ένα των μικρών τούτων.
3 Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother shall trespass against thee, rebuke him; and if he shall repent forgive him.
Προσέχετε εις εαυτούς. Εάν δε ο αδελφός σου αμαρτήση εις σε, επίπληξον αυτόν· και εάν μετανοήση, συγχώρησον αυτόν.
4 And if he shall trespass against thee seven times in a day, and seven times in a day shall turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him.
και εάν επτάκις της ημέρας αμαρτήση εις σε, και επτάκις της ημέρας επιστρέψη προς σε λέγων· Μετανοώ, θέλεις συγχωρήσει αυτόν.
5 And the apostles said to the Lord, Increase our faith.
Και είπον οι απόστολοι προς τον Κύριον· Αύξησον εις ημάς την πίστιν.
6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard-seed, ye might say to this sycamine-tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it would obey you.
Ο δε Κύριος είπεν· Εάν έχετε πίστιν ως κόκκον σινάπεως, ηθέλετε ειπεί εις την συκάμινον ταύτην, Εκριζώθητι και φυτεύθητι εις την θάλασσαν· και ήθελε σας υπακούσει.
7 But which of you having a servant plowing, or feeding cattle, will say to him immediately, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to eat?
Τις δε από σας έχων δούλον αροτριώντα ή ποιμαίνοντα, θέλει ειπεί προς αυτόν, ευθύς αφού έλθη εκ του αγρού· Ύπαγε, κάθησον να φάγης,
8 And will not rather say to him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drank; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink?
και δεν θέλει ειπεί προς αυτόν· Ετοίμασον τι να δειπνήσω, και περιζωσθείς υπηρέτει με, εωσού φάγω και πίω, και μετά ταύτα θέλεις φάγει και πίει συ;
9 Doth he thank that servant, because he did the things that were commanded him? I suppose not.
Μήπως γνωρίζει χάριν εις τον δούλον εκείνον, διότι έκαμε τα διαταχθέντα εις αυτόν; δεν μοι φαίνεται.
10 So likewise ye, when ye shall have done all the things which are commanded you, say, We are unprofitable servants: we have done that which it was our duty to do.
Ούτω και σεις, όταν κάμητε πάντα τα διαταχθέντα εις εσάς, λέγετε ότι δούλοι αχρείοι είμεθα, επειδή εκάμαμεν ό, τι εχρεωστούμεν να κάμωμεν.
11 And it came to pass, as he went to Jerusalem, that he passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.
Και ότε αυτός επορεύετο εις την Ιερουσαλήμ, διέβαινε διά μέσου της Σαμαρείας και Γαλιλαίας.
12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, who stood at a distance.
Και ενώ εισήρχετο εις τινά κώμην, απήντησαν αυτόν δέκα άνθρωποι λεπροί, οίτινες εστάθησαν μακρόθεν,
13 And they lifted up [their] voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have mercy on us.
και αυτοί ύψωσαν φωνήν, λέγοντες· Ιησού, Επιστάτα, ελέησον ημάς.
14 And when he saw [them], he said to them, Go, show yourselves to the priests. And it came to pass, that as they were going, they were cleansed.
Και ιδών είπε προς αυτούς· Υπάγετε και δείξατε εαυτούς εις τους ιερείς. Και ενώ, επορεύοντο, εκαθαρίσθησαν.
15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with a loud voice glorified God,
Εις δε εξ αυτών, ιδών ότι ιατρεύθη, υπέστρεψε μετά φωνής μεγάλης δοξάζων τον Θεόν,
16 And fell down on [his] face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan.
και έπεσε κατά πρόσωπον εις τους πόδας αυτού, ευχαριστών αυτόν· και αυτός ήτο Σαμαρείτης.
17 And Jesus answering said, Were there not ten cleansed? but where [are] the nine?
Αποκριθείς δε ο Ιησούς είπε· Δεν εκαθαρίσθησαν οι δέκα; οι δε εννέα που είναι;
18 There are not found returning to give glory to God, save this stranger.
Δεν ευρέθησαν άλλοι να υποστρέψωσι διά να δοξάσωσι τον Θεόν ειμή ο αλλογενής ούτος;
19 And he said to him, Arise, depart: thy faith hath made thee whole.
Και είπε προς αυτόν· Σηκωθείς ύπαγε· η πίστις σου σε έσωσεν.
20 And when he was asked by the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation.
Ερωτηθείς δε υπό των Φαρισαίων, πότε έρχεται η βασιλεία του Θεού, απεκρίθη προς αυτούς και είπε· Δεν έρχεται η βασιλεία του Θεού ούτως ώστε να παρατηρήται·
21 Neither will they say, Lo here! or lo there! for behold, the kingdom of God is within you.
ουδέ θέλουσιν ειπεί· Ιδού, εδώ είναι, ή Ιδού εκεί· διότι ιδού, η βασιλεία του Θεού είναι εντός υμών.
22 And he said to his disciples, The days will come, when ye will desire to see one of the days of the son of man, and ye shall not see [it].
Είπε δε προς τους μαθητάς· θέλουσιν ελθεί ημέραι, ότε θέλετε επιθυμήσει να ίδητε μίαν των ημερών του Υιού του ανθρώπου, και δεν θέλετε ιδεί.
23 And they will say to you, See here; or, see there: go not after [them], nor follow them.
και θέλουσι σας ειπεί· Ιδού, εδώ είναι, ή Ιδού εκεί· μη υπάγητε μηδ' ακολουθήσητε.
24 For as the lightning that lighteneth from the one [part] under heaven, shineth to the other [part] under heaven; so shall also the Son of man be in his day.
Διότι ως η αστραπή η αστράπτουσα εκ της υπ' ουρανόν λάμπει εις την υπ' ουρανόν, ούτω θέλει είσθαι και ο Υιός του ανθρώπου εν τη ημέρα αυτού.
25 But first he must suffer many things, and be rejected by this generation.
Πρώτον όμως πρέπει αυτός να πάθη πολλά και να καταφρονηθή από της γενεάς ταύτης.
26 And as it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man.
Και καθώς έγεινεν εν ταις ημέραις του Νώε, ούτω θέλει είσθαι και εν ταις ημέραις του Υιού του ανθρώπου·
27 They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark; and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
έτρωγον, έπινον, ενύμφευον, ενυμφεύοντο, μέχρι της ημέρας καθ' ην ο Νώε εισήλθεν εις την κιβωτόν, και ήλθεν ο κατακλυσμός και απώλεσεν άπαντας.
28 Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot: they ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built;
Ομοίως και καθώς έγεινεν εν ταις ημέραις του Λώτ· έτρωγον, έπινον, ηγόραζον, επώλουν, εφύτευον, ωκοδόμουν·
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed [them] all:
καθ' ην δε ημέραν εξήλθεν ο Λωτ από Σοδόμων, έβρεξε πυρ και θείον απ' ουρανού και απώλεσεν άπαντας.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.
Ωσαύτως θέλει είσθαι καθ' ην ημέραν ο Υιός του ανθρώπου θέλει φανερωθή.
31 In that day, he who shall be upon the house-top, and his furniture in the house, let him not come down to take it away: and he that is in the field, let him likewise not return back.
Κατ' εκείνην την ημέραν όστις ευρεθή επί του δώματος και τα σκεύη αυτού εν τη οικία, ας μη καταβή διά να λάβη αυτά, και όστις εν τω αγρώ ομοίως ας μη επιστρέψη εις τα οπίσω.
32 Remember Lot's wife.
Ενθυμείσθε την γυναίκα του Λωτ.
33 Whoever shall seek to save his life, shall lose it; and whoever shall lose his life, shall preserve it.
Όστις ζητήση να σώση την ζωήν αυτού, θέλει απολέσει αυτήν, και όστις απολέση αυτήν, θέλει διαφυλάξει αυτήν.
34 I tell you, in that night there will be two [men] in one bed; the one will be taken, and the other will be left.
Σας λέγω, Εν τη νυκτί εκείνη θέλουσιν είσθαι δύο επί μιας κλίνης, ο εις παραλαμβάνεται και ο άλλος αφίνεται·
35 Two [women] will be grinding together; the one will be taken, and the other left.
δύο γυναίκες θέλουσιν αλέθει ομού, η μία παραλαμβάνεται και η άλλη αφίνεται·
36 Two [men] will be in the field; the one will be taken, and the other left.
δύο θέλουσιν είσθαι εν τω αγρώ, ο εις παραλαμβάνεται και ο άλλος αφίνεται.
37 And they answered and said to him, Where Lord? And he said to them, Wherever the body [is], thither will the eagles be collected.
Και αποκριθέντες λέγουσι προς αυτόν· Που, Κύριε; Ο δε είπε προς αυτούς· Όπου είναι το σώμα, εκεί θέλουσι συναχθή οι αετοί.
