1 Kings 8

1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, to king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring the ark of the covenant of the LORD out of the city of David, which [is] Zion.

௧அப்பொழுது யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியைச் சீயோன் என்னும் தாவீதின் நகரத்திலிருந்து கொண்டுவரும்படி சாலொமோன் இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர்களையும், கோத்திரத் தலைமையில் உள்ளவர்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிலுள்ள பிதாக்களின் தலைவர்கள் அனைவரையும், எருசலேமில் ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோன் தன்னிடம் கூடிவரச்செய்தான்.

2 And all the men of Israel assembled themselves to king Solomon at the feast in the month Ethanim, which [is] the seventh month.

௨இஸ்ரவேல் மனிதர்கள் எல்லோரும் 7 ஆம் மாதமாகிய ஏத்தானீம் மாதத்தின் பண்டிகையிலே, ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனிடம் கூடிவந்தார்கள்.

3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the priests took up the ark.

௩இஸ்ரவேலின் மூப்பர்கள் அனைவரும் வந்திருக்கும்போது, ஆசாரியர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய பெட்டியை எடுத்து,

4 And they brought the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that [were] in the tabernacle, even those did the priests and the Levites bring.

௪பெட்டியையும், ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தையும், கூடாரத்திலிருந்த பரிசுத்த பணிப்பொருட்கள் அனைத்தையும் சுமந்து கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; ஆசாரியர்களும், லேவியர்களும், அவைகளைச் சுமந்தார்கள்.

5 And king Solomon, and all the congregation of Israel, that were assembled to him, [were] with him before the ark, sacrificing sheep and oxen, that could not be told nor numbered for multitude.

௫ராஜாவாகிய சாலொமோனும் அவனோடு கூடிய இஸ்ரவேல் சபை மக்கள் அனைவரும் பெட்டிக்கு முன்பாக நடந்து, எண்ணிக்கையும் கணக்கும் இல்லாத திரளான ஆடுகளையும், மாடுகளையும் பலியிட்டார்கள்.

6 And the priests brought the ark of the covenant of the LORD to its place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy [place], [even] under the wings of the cherubim.

௬அப்படியே ஆசாரியர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய உடன்படிக்கைப் பெட்டியை ஆலயத்தின் உள் அறையாகிய மகா பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே கேருபீன்களுடைய இறக்கைகளின்கீழே கொண்டுவந்து வைத்தார்கள்.

7 For the cherubim spread forth [their] two wings over the place of the ark, and the cherubim covered the ark and the staffs thereof above.

௭கேருபீன்கள் பெட்டி இருக்கும் இடத்திலே தங்கள் இரண்டு இறக்கைகளையும் விரித்து, உயர இருந்து பெட்டியையும் அதின் தண்டுகளையும் மூடிக்கொண்டிருந்தது.

8 And they drew out the staffs, that the ends of the staffs were seen out in the holy [place] before the oracle, and they were not seen without: and there they are to this day.

௮தண்டுகளின் முனைகள் உள் அறைக்கு முன்னான பரிசுத்த இடத்திலே காணப்படும்படியாக அந்தத் தண்டுகளை முன்னுக்கு இழுத்தார்கள்; ஆகிலும் வெளியே அவைகள் காணப்படவில்லை; அவைகள் இந்த நாள் வரைக்கும் அங்கேதான் இருக்கிறது.

9 [There was] nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses deposited there at Horeb, when the LORD made [a covenant] with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt.

௯இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்பட்டபின்பு யெகோவா அவர்களோடு உடன்படிக்கை செய்கிறபோது, மோசே ஓரேபிலே அந்தப் பெட்டியில் வைத்த இரண்டு கற்பலகைகளைத் தவிர அதிலே வேறொன்றும் இருந்ததில்லை.

10 And it came to pass, when the priests had come out of the holy [place], that the cloud filled the house of the LORD,

௧0அப்பொழுது ஆசாரியர்கள் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து புறப்படும்போது, மேகமானது யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தை நிரப்பியது.

11 So that the priests could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD.

௧௧மேகத்தினால் ஆசாரியர்கள் ஊழியம் செய்வதற்கு நிற்கமுடியாமற்போனது; யெகோவாவுடைய மகிமை யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தை நிரப்பியது.

12 Then spoke Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.

௧௨அப்பொழுது சாலொமோன்: காரிருளிலே வாழ்வேன் என்று யெகோவா சொன்னார் என்றும்,

13 I have surely built thee a house to dwell in, a settled place for thee to abide in for ever.

௧௩தேவரீர் தங்கக்கூடிய வீடும், நீர் என்றைக்கும் தங்ககூடிய நிலையான இடமுமாகிய ஆலயத்தை உமக்குக் கட்டினேன் என்றும் சொல்லி,

14 And the king turned his face about, and blessed all the congregation of Israel: and all the congregation of Israel were standing.

௧௪ராஜா திரும்பி, இஸ்ரவேல் சபையையெல்லாம் ஆசீர்வதித்தான்; இஸ்ரவேல் சபையார்கள் எல்லோரும் நின்றார்கள்.

15 And he said, Blessed [be] the LORD God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and hath with his hand fulfilled [it], saying,

௧௫அவன் சொன்னது: இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்; அவர் என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதுக்குத் தம்முடைய வாக்கினால் சொன்னதைத் தம்முடைய கரத்தினால் நிறைவேற்றினார்.

16 Since the day that I brought forth my people Israel from Egypt, I have chosen no city out of all the tribes of Israel to build a house, that my name might be therein; but I chose David to be over my people Israel.

௧௬அவர் நான் என்னுடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்த நாள்முதல், என்னுடைய நாமம் வெளிப்படும்படி, ஒரு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டும் என்று நான் இஸ்ரவேலுடைய எல்லாக் கோத்திரங்களிலும் உள்ள ஒரு பட்டணத்தையும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளாமல் என்னுடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின்மேல் அதிகாரியாக இருக்கும்படி தாவீதையே தெரிந்துகொண்டேன் என்றார்.

17 And it was in the heart of David my father to build a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

௧௭இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டும் என்கிற விருப்பம் என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் இருதயத்தில் இருந்தது.

18 And the LORD said to David my father, Whereas it was in thy heart to build a house to my name, thou didst well that it was in thy heart.

௧௮ஆனாலும் யெகோவா என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதை நோக்கி: என்னுடைய நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டவேண்டும் என்கிற விருப்பம் உன்னுடைய மனதிலே இருந்தது நல்ல காரியந்தான்.

19 Nevertheless, thou shalt not build the house; but thy son that shall come forth out of thy loins, he shall build the house to my name.

௧௯ஆனாலும் நீ அந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டமாட்டாய், உனக்கு பிறக்கும் உன்னுடைய மகனே என்னுடைய நாமத்திற்கு அந்த ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டுவான் என்றார்.

20 And the LORD hath performed his word that he spoke, and I have risen in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD promised, and have built a house for the name of the LORD God of Israel.

௨0இப்போதும் யெகோவா சொல்லிய தம்முடைய வார்த்தையை நிறைவேற்றினார்; யெகோவா சொன்னபடியே, நான் என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீதின் இடத்தில் எழுந்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் உட்கார்ந்து, இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் நாமத்திற்கு ஆலயத்தைக் கட்டினேன்.

21 And I have set there a place for the ark, in which [is] the covenant of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them from the land of Egypt.

௨௧யெகோவா நம்முடைய பிதாக்களை எகிப்து தேசத்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்தபோது, அவர்களோடு செய்த உடன்படிக்கை இருக்கிற பெட்டிக்காக அதிலே ஒரு இடத்தை உண்டாக்கினேன் என்றான்.

22 And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in the presence of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands towards Heaven:

௨௨பின்பு சாலொமோன்: யெகோவாவுடைய பலிபீடத்திற்குமுன்னே இஸ்ரவேல் சபையார்கள் எல்லோருக்கும் எதிராக நின்று, வானத்திற்கு நேராகத் தன்னுடைய கைகளை விரித்து:

23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, [there is] no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart.

௨௩இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, மேலே வானத்திலும் கீழே பூமியிலும் உமக்கு நிகரான தேவன் இல்லை; தங்களுடைய முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உமக்கு முன்பாக நடக்கிற உமது அடியார்களுக்கு உடன்படிக்கையையும் கிருபையையும் காத்து வருகிறீர்.

24 Who hast kept with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him: thou didst speak also with thy mouth, and hast fulfilled [it] with thy hand, as [it is] this day.

௨௪தேவரீர் என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது என்னும் உம்முடைய ஊழியனுக்குச் செய்த வாக்குத்தத்தத்தைக் காத்தருளினீர்; அதை உம்முடைய வாக்கினால் சொன்னீர்; இந்த நாளில் இருக்கிறபடி, உம்முடைய கரத்தினால் அதை நிறைவேற்றினீர்.

25 Therefore now, LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou didst promise him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit on the throne of Israel; provided thy children take heed to their way, that they walk before me as thou hast walked before me.

௨௫இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, தேவரீர் என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது என்னும் உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனை நோக்கி: நீ எனக்கு முன்பாக நடந்ததுபோல, உன்னுடைய மகன்களும் எனக்கு முன்பாக நடக்கும்படி தங்கள் வழியைக் காத்துக்கொண்டால், இஸ்ரவேலின் சிங்காசனத்தின்மேல் அமர்ந்திருக்கும் ஆண்மகன் எனக்கு முன்பாக உனக்கு இல்லாமல் போவதில்லை என்று சொன்னதை இப்பொழுது அவனுக்கு நிறைவேற்றும்.

26 And now, O God of Israel, let thy word, I pray thee, be verified, which thou didst speak to thy servant David my father.

௨௬இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனே, என்னுடைய தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது என்னும் உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனுக்குச் சொன்ன உம்முடைய வார்த்தை மெய்யென்று வெளிப்படுவதாக.

27 But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have built?

௨௭தேவன் மெய்யாக பூமியிலே தங்குவாரோ? இதோ, வானங்களும் வானாதி வானங்களும் உமக்குப் போதாதே; நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயம் எம்மாத்திரம்?

28 Yet have thou respect to the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken to the cry and to the prayer, which thy servant prayeth before thee this day:

௨௮என்னுடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவே, உமது அடியேன் இன்று உமக்கு முன்பாக செய்கிற விண்ணப்பத்தையும் மன்றாட்டையும் கேட்டு, உமது அடியேனுடைய விண்ணப்பத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் கவனத்தில் கொண்டருளும்.

29 That thy eyes may be open towards this house night and day, [even] towards the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou mayest hearken to the prayer which thy servant shall make towards this place.

௨௯உமது அடியேன் இந்த இடத்திலே செய்யும் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேட்கும்படி என்னுடைய நாமம் அங்கே இருக்கும் என்று நீர் சொன்ன இடமாகிய இந்த ஆலயத்தின் மேல் உம்முடைய கண்கள் இரவும் பகலும் திறந்திருப்பதாக.

30 And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray towards this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place: and when thou hearest, forgive.

௩0உமது அடியானும், இந்த இடத்திலே விண்ணப்பம் செய்யப்போகிற உமது மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலும் செய்யும் ஜெபத்தைக் கேட்டருளும்; பரலோகமாகிய நீர் தங்குமிடத்திலே அதை கேட்பீராக, கேட்டு மன்னிப்பீராக.

31 If any man shall trespass against his neighbor, and an oath be laid upon him to cause him to swear, and the oath come before thy altar in this house:

௩௧ஒருவன் தன் அருகில் உள்ளவனுக்கு விரோதமாகக் குற்றம் செய்திருக்கும்போது, இவன் அவனை ஆணையிடச்சொல்லும்போது, அந்த ஆணை இந்த ஆலயத்திலே உம்முடைய பலிபீடத்திற்கு முன்பு வந்தால்,

32 Then hear thou in heaven, and do, and judge thy servants, condemning the wicked, to bring his way upon his head; and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness.

௩௨அப்பொழுது பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு, துன்மார்க்கனுடைய செய்கையை அவனுடைய தலையின்மேல் சுமரச்செய்து, அவனைக் குற்றவாளியாகத் தீர்க்கவும், நீதிமானுக்கு அவனுடைய நீதிக்குத் தகுந்தபடி செய்து அவனை நீதிமானாக்கவும் தக்கதாக உமது அடியார்களை நியாயந்தீர்ப்பீராக.

33 When thy people Israel shall be smitten before the enemy, because they have sinned against thee, and shall turn again to thee, and confess thy name, and pray, and make supplication to thee in this house:

௩௩உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்ததால் எதிரிகளுக்கு முன்பாக தோற்றுப்போய், உம்மிடத்திற்குத் திரும்பி, உம்முடைய நாமத்தை அறிக்கைசெய்து, இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு நேராக உம்மை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் செய்தால்,

34 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and bring them again to the land which thou gavest to their fathers.

௩௪பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு, உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின் பாவத்தை மன்னித்து, அவர்களுடைய முன்னோர்களுக்கு நீர் கொடுத்த தேசத்திற்கு அவர்களைத் திரும்பி வரச்செய்வீராக.

35 When heaven is shut up, and there is no rain, because they have sinned against thee; if they pray towards this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflictest them:

௩௫அவர்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம் செய்ததால் வானம் அடைபட்டு மழைபெய்யாமல் இருக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் இந்த இடத்திற்கு நேராக விண்ணப்பம் செய்து, உம்முடைய நாமத்தை அறிக்கைசெய்து, தங்களை தேவரீர் மனவருத்தப்படுத்தும்போது தங்களுடைய பாவங்களைவிட்டுத் திரும்பினால்.

36 Then hear thou in heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, that thou mayest teach them the good way in which they should walk, and give rain upon thy land, which thou hast given to thy people for an inheritance.

௩௬பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு, உமது அடியார்களும் உமது மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலும் செய்த பாவத்தை மன்னித்து, அவர்கள் நடக்கவேண்டிய நல்வழியை அவர்களுக்குப் போதித்து, தேவரீர் உமது மக்களுக்குச் சுதந்திரமாகக் கொடுத்த உமது தேசத்தில் மழை பெய்யக் கட்டளையிடுவீராக.

37 If there shall be in the land famine, if there shall be pestilence, blasting, mildew, locust, [or] if there shall be caterpillar; if their enemy shall besiege them in the land of their cities, whatever plague, whatever sickness [there shall be];

௩௭தேசத்திலே பஞ்சம் உண்டாகிறபோதும், கொள்ளைநோய் உண்டாகிறபோதும், வறட்சி, விஷப்பனி, வெட்டுக்கிளி, பச்சைக்கிளி உண்டாகிறபோதும், அவர்களுடைய எதிரிகள் தேசத்திலுள்ள பட்டணங்களை முற்றுக்கையிடும்போதும், ஏதாவது ஒரு வாதையோ வியாதியோ வரும்போதும்,

38 Whatever prayer and supplication shall be [made] by any man, [or] by all thy people Israel, who shall know every man the plague of his own heart, and spread forth his hands towards this house:

௩௮உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் அனைவரிலும் எந்த மனிதனானாலும் தன்னுடைய இருதயத்தின் வாதையை உணர்ந்து, இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு நேராகத் தன்னுடைய கைகளை விரித்துச் செய்யும் எல்லா விண்ணப்பத்தையும், எல்லா வேண்டுதலையும்,

39 Then hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place, and forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, whose heart thou knowest; (for thou, [even] thou only, knowest the hearts of all the children of men; )

௩௯நீர் தங்குமிடமாகிய பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற தேவரீர் கேட்டு மன்னித்து,

40 That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest to our fathers.

௪0தேவரீர் எங்கள் முன்னோர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த தேசத்தில் அவர்கள் உயிரோடிருக்கும் நாளெல்லாம் உமக்குப் பயப்படும்படி தேவரீர் ஒருவரே எல்லா மனிதர்களின் இருதயத்தையும் அறிந்தவராக இருக்கிறபடியால், நீர் அவனவனுடைய இருதயத்தை அறிந்திருக்கிறபடியே, அவனவனுடைய வழிகளுக்குத் தகுந்தபடி செய்து, அவனவனுக்குப் பலன் அளிப்பீராக.

41 Moreover, concerning a stranger, that [is] not of thy people Israel, but cometh out of a far country for thy name's sake;

௪௧உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அல்லாத அந்நியர்கள் உமது மகத்துவமான நாமத்தையும், உமது பலத்த கரத்தையும், உமது ஓங்கிய புயத்தையும் கேள்விப்படுவார்களே.

42 (For they shall hear of thy great name, and of thy strong hand, and of thy out-stretched arm; ) when he shall come and pray towards this house;

௪௨அப்படிப்பட்ட அந்நியனும், உமது நாமத்தினிமித்தம் தூர தேசத்திலிருந்து வந்து, இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு நேராக விண்ணப்பம் செய்தால்,

43 Hear thou in heaven thy dwelling-place, and do according to all that the stranger calleth to thee for: that all people of the earth may know thy name, to fear thee, as [do] thy people Israel; and that they may know that this house which I have built is called by thy name.

௪௩உமது தங்குமிடமாகிய பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற தேவரீர் அதைக் கேட்டு, பூமியின் மக்களெல்லோரும் உம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலைப்போல உமக்குப் பயப்படும்படியும், நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கு உம்முடைய நாமம் வைக்கப்பட்டதென்று அறியும்படியும், உம்முடைய நாமத்தை அறிந்துகொள்வதற்காக, அந்த அந்நியன் உம்மை நோக்கி வேண்டிக்கொள்வதின்படியெல்லாம் தேவரீர் செய்வீராக.

44 If thy people go out to battle against their enemy, whithersoever thou shalt send them, and shall pray to the LORD towards the city which thou hast chosen, and [towards] the house that I have built for thy name:

௪௪நீர் உம்முடைய மக்களை அனுப்பும் வழியிலே அவர்கள் தங்கள் எதிரிகளோடு யுத்தம் செய்யப் புறப்படும்போது, நீர் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இந்த நகரத்திற்கும், உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கு நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கும் நேராக யெகோவாவை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம் செய்தால்,

45 Then hear thou in heaven their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

௪௫பரலோகத்தில் இருக்கிற தேவரீர் அவர்களுடைய விண்ணப்பத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் கேட்டு, அவர்களுடைய நியாயத்தை விசாரிப்பீராக.

46 If they shall sin against thee, (for [there is] no man that sinneth not, ) and thou shalt be angry with them, and deliver them to the enemy, so that they carry them away captives to the land of the enemy, far or near;

௪௬பாவம் செய்யாத மனிதன் இல்லையே; ஆகையால், அவர்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாகப் பாவம்செய்து, தேவரீர் அவர்கள்மேல் கோபம்கொண்டு, அவர்களுடைய எதிரிகளுடைய கையில் அவர்களை ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து, அந்த எதிரிகள் அவர்களைத் தூரத்திலோ அருகிலோ இருக்கிற தங்கள் தேசத்திற்குச் சிறைபிடித்துக் கொண்டுபோகும்போது,

47 [Yet] if they shall bethink themselves in the land whither they were carried captives, and repent and make supplication to thee in the land of them that carried them captives, saying, We have sinned, and have done perversely, we have committed wickedness;

௪௭அவர்கள் சிறைப்பட்டுப் போயிருக்கிற தேசத்திலே தங்களில் உணர்வடைந்து, மனந்திரும்பி: நாங்கள் பாவம்செய்து, அக்கிரமம்செய்து, துன்மார்க்கமாக நடந்தோம் என்று தங்களுடைய சிறையிருப்பான தேசத்திலே உம்மை நோக்கி வேண்டுதல் செய்து,

48 And [so] return to thee with all their heart, and with all their soul, in the land of their enemies, who led them away captive, and pray to thee towards their land, which thou gavest to their fathers, the city which thou hast chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name:

௪௮தங்களைச் சிறைபிடித்துக்கொண்ட தங்களுடைய எதிரிகளின் தேசத்திலே தங்களுடைய முழு இருதயத்தோடும் தங்களுடைய முழு ஆத்துமாவோடும் உம்மிடத்தில் திரும்பி, தேவரீர் தங்களுடைய பிதாக்களுக்குக் கொடுத்த தங்களுடைய தேசத்திற்கும், தேவரீர் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இந்த நகரத்திற்கும், உம்முடைய நாமத்திற்கு நான் கட்டின இந்த ஆலயத்திற்கும் நேராக உம்மை நோக்கி விண்ணப்பம் செய்யும்போது,

49 Then hear thou their prayer and their supplication in heaven thy dwelling-place, and maintain their cause,

௪௯நீர் தங்குமிடமாகிய பரலோகத்திலே இருக்கிற தேவரீர் அவர்களுடைய விண்ணப்பத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் கேட்டு, அவர்களுடைய நியாயத்தை விசாரித்து,

50 And forgive thy people that have sinned against thee, and all their transgressions in which they have transgressed against thee, and give them compassion before them who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them:

௫0உம்முடைய மக்கள் உமக்கு விரோதமாகச் செய்த பாவத்தையும், அவர்கள் உம்முடைய கட்டளையை மீறிய அவர்களுடைய துரோகங்களை எல்லாம் மன்னித்து, அவர்களைச் சிறைபிடித்துக் கொண்டுபோகிறவர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு இரங்கத்தக்கதான இரக்கத்தை அவர்களுக்குக் கிடைக்கச் செய்வீராக.

51 For they [are] thy people, and thy inheritance, which thou broughtest out of Egypt, from the midst of the furnace of iron:

௫௧அவர்கள் எகிப்து என்கிற இரும்புச் சூளையின் நடுவிலிருந்து தேவரீர் புறப்படச்செய்த உம்முடைய மக்களும் உம்முடைய சுதந்திரமுமாக இருக்கிறார்களே.

52 That thy eyes may be open to the supplication of thy servant, and to the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken to them in all their supplications to thee.

௫௨அவர்கள் உம்மை நோக்கி வேண்டிக்கொள்வதின்படியெல்லாம் தேவரீர் அவர்களுக்குச் செய்யும்படி, உம்முடைய கண்கள் உமது அடியானின் வேண்டுதலுக்கும், உமது மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின் வேண்டுதலுக்கும் திறந்திருப்பதாக.

53 For thou didst separate them from among all the people of the earth, [to be] thy inheritance, as thou didst speak by the hand of Moses thy servant, when thou broughtest our fathers out of Egypt, O LORD God.

௫௩கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, நீர் எங்களுடைய பிதாக்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படச்செய்யும்போது, உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனாகிய மோசேயைக்கொண்டு சொன்னபடியே, தேவரீர் பூமியின் எல்லா மக்களிலும் அவர்களை உமக்குச் சுதந்திரமாகப் பிரித்தெடுத்தீரே என்று விண்ணப்பம் செய்தான்.

54 And it was [so], that when Solomon had made an end of praying all this prayer and supplication to the LORD, he arose from before the altar of the LORD, from kneeling on his knees, with his hands spread up to heaven.

௫௪சாலொமோன் யெகோவாவை நோக்கி, இந்த ஜெபத்தையும் வேண்டுதலையும் எல்லாம் செய்து முடித்தபின்பு, அவன் யெகோவாவுடைய பலிபீடத்திற்கு முன்பாகத் தன்னுடைய கைகளை வானத்திற்கு நேராக விரித்து, முழங்காற்படியிட்டிருந்ததைவிட்டு எழுந்து,

55 And he stood, and blessed all the congregation of Israel with a loud voice, saying,

௫௫நின்று, இஸ்ரவேல் சபையார் எல்லோரையும் ஆசீர்வதித்து, உரத்த சத்தத்தோடு சொன்னது:

56 Blessed [be] the LORD, that hath given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant.

௫௬தாம் வாக்குத்தத்தம் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் தம்முடைய மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு இளைப்பாறுதலைக் கொடுத்த யெகோவாவுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம், அவர் தம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரனாகிய மோசேயைக்கொண்டு சொன்ன அவருடைய நல்வார்த்தைகளில் ஒரு வார்த்தைகூட தவறிப்போகவில்லை.

57 The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers: let him not leave us, nor forsake us:

௫௭நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவா நம்மைக் கைவிடாமலும், நம்மை நெகிழவிடாமலும், அவர் நம்முடைய முன்னோர்களோடு இருந்ததுபோல, நம்மோடும் இருந்து,

58 That he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments, and his statutes, and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers.

௫௮நாம் அவருடைய வழிகளில் எல்லாம் நடப்பதற்கும், அவர் நம்முடைய பிதாக்களுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்ட அவருடைய கற்பனைகளையும், கட்டளைகளையும், நியாயங்களையும் கைக்கொள்ளுவதற்கும், நம்முடைய இருதயத்தை அவர்பக்கமாக திரும்பச்செய்வாராக.

59 And let these my words with which I have made supplication before the LORD, be nigh to the LORD our God day and night, that he may maintain the cause of his servant, and the cause of his people Israel at all times, as the matter shall require:

௫௯யெகோவாவே தேவன், வேறொருவரும் இல்லையென்பதை பூமியின் மக்களெல்லாம் அறியும்படியாக,

60 That all the people of the earth may know, that the LORD [is] God, [and that there is] none else.

௬0அவர் தமது அடியானுடைய நியாயத்தையும், தமது மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலின் நியாயத்தையும், அந்தந்த நாளில் நடக்கும் காரியத்திற்குத் தகுந்தபடி விசாரிப்பதற்கு, நான் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக விண்ணப்பம்செய்த என்னுடைய வார்த்தைகள் இரவும்பகலும் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் இருப்பதாக.

61 Let your heart therefore be perfect with the LORD our God, to walk in his statutes, and to keep his commandments, as at this day.

௬௧ஆதலால் இந்த நாளில் இருக்கிறதுபோல, நீங்கள் அவருடைய கட்டளைகளில் நடந்து, அவருடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ள, உங்களுடைய இருதயம் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவோடு உத்தமமாக இருப்பதாக என்றான்.

62 And the king, and all Israel with him, offered sacrifice before the LORD.

௬௨பின்பு ராஜாவும் அவனோடு இருந்த இஸ்ரவேலர்கள் அனைவரும், யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தினார்கள்.

63 And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace-offerings, which he offered to the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and a hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD.

௬௩சாலொமோன் யெகோவாவுக்குச் சமாதானபலிகளாக, 22,000 மாடுகளையும், ஒரு 1,20,000 ஆடுகளையும் பலியிட்டான்; இவ்விதமாக ராஜாவும் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் அனைவரும் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தைப் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்தார்கள்.

64 The same day did the king consecrate the middle of the court that [was] before the house of the LORD: for there he offered burnt-offerings, and meat-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings: because the brazen altar that [was] before the LORD [was] too little to receive the burnt-offerings, and meat-offerings, and the fat of the peace-offerings.

௬௪யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் இருந்த வெண்கலப் பலிபீடமானது சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும், போஜனபலிகளையும், சமாதானபலிகளின் கொழுப்பையும் கொள்ளமாட்டாமல் சிறிதாக இருந்ததால், ராஜா யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குமுன்பு இருக்கிற முற்றத்தின் மையத்தைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி, அன்றையதினம் அங்கே சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும், உணவுபலிகளையும், சமாதானபலிகளின் கொழுப்பையும் செலுத்தினான்.

65 And at that time Solomon held a feast, and all Israel with him, a great congregation, from the entrance into Hamath to the river of Egypt, before the LORD our God, seven days and seven days, [even] fourteen days.

௬௫அந்தக்காலத்திலேயே சாலொமோனும், ஆமாத் பட்டணத்தின் எல்லைதுவங்கி எகிப்தின் நதிவரை இருந்து, அவனோடு இருந்த பெரிய கூட்டமாகிய இஸ்ரவேல் மக்கள் அனைவரும் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய சந்நிதியில் ஏழுநாட்களும், அதற்குப் பின்பு வேறே ஏழுநாட்களுமாக பதினான்கு நாட்கள்வரை பண்டிகையை கொண்டாடினார்கள்.

66 On the eighth day he sent the people away: and they blessed the king, and went to their tents joyful and glad of heart for all the goodness that the LORD had done for David his servant, and for Israel his people.

௬௬எட்டாம் நாளிலே மக்களுக்கு விடைகொடுத்து அனுப்பினான்; அவர்கள் ராஜாவை வாழ்த்தி, யெகோவா தமது ஊழியக்காரனாகிய தாவீதுக்கும் தமது மக்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலுக்கும் செய்த எல்லா நன்மைக்காகவும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டு மனமகிழ்ச்சியோடு தங்களுடைய வீடுகளுக்குப் போனார்கள்.
