Romans 14
1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
Agora aceite alguém que é fraco na fé, mas não para disputas de opiniões.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Um homem tem fé para comer todas as coisas, mas aquele que é fraco come apenas vegetais.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him who eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Não deixe que aquele que come despreze aquele que não come. Não deixe que aquele que não come julgue aquele que come, pois Deus o aceitou.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. And, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.
Quem é você que julga o servo do outro? A seu próprio senhor, ele se levanta ou cai. Sim, ele será feito para ficar de pé, pois Deus tem poder para fazê-lo ficar de pé.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Um homem estima um dia como sendo mais importante. Outro estima todos os dias da mesma forma. Que cada homem esteja plenamente seguro em sua própria mente.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it to the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Aquele que observa o dia, observa-o ao Senhor; e aquele que não observa o dia, ao Senhor, não o observa. Aquele que come, come ao Senhor, porque dá graças a Deus. Aquele que não come, ao Senhor não come, e dá graças a Deus.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
Pois nenhum de nós vive para si mesmo, e nenhum morre para si mesmo.
8 For whether we live, we live to the Lord; and whether we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
Pois, se vivemos, vivemos para o Senhor. Ou, se morrermos, morremos para o Senhor. Se, portanto, vivemos ou morremos, somos do Senhor.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.
Pois para este fim Cristo morreu, ressuscitou e viveu novamente, para que possa ser Senhor tanto dos mortos como dos vivos.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou show contempt for thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Mas você, por que julga seu irmão? Ou você, novamente, por que despreza seu irmão? Pois todos nós estaremos diante do tribunal de Cristo.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Pois está escrito, “'Enquanto eu viver', diz o Senhor, 'para mim cada joelho se curvará'. Toda língua confessará a Deus'”.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Assim, cada um de nós dará conta de si mesmo a Deus.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
Portanto, não nos julguemos mais, mas julguemos isto antes, que nenhum homem coloque um obstáculo no caminho de seu irmão, ou uma ocasião para cair.
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean by itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Eu sei e estou convencido no Senhor Jesus que nada é impuro de si mesmo; exceto que para aquele que considera tudo impuro, para ele é impuro.
15 But if thy brother is grieved with thy food, now walkest thou not in love. Destroy not him with thy food, for whom Christ died.
No entanto, se por causa da comida seu irmão está de luto, você não anda mais apaixonado. Não destrua com sua comida aquele por quem Cristo morreu.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Então não deixe que seu bem seja caluniado,
17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
pois o Reino de Deus não é comer e beber, mas retidão, paz e alegria no Espírito Santo.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved by men.
Pois aquele que serve a Cristo nestas coisas é aceitável a Deus e aprovado pelos homens.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things which one may edify another.
Então, vamos seguir as coisas que fazem a paz, e as coisas pelas quais podemos construir uns aos outros.
20 For the sake of food destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Não derrubar a obra de Deus por causa da comida. Todas as coisas, de fato, são limpas, mas é mal para aquele homem que cria uma pedra de tropeço ao comer.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing by which thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
É bom não comer carne, beber vinho, nem fazer nada pelo qual seu irmão tropeça, fica ofendido, ou se torna fraco.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in what he approveth.
Você tem fé? Tenha-a para si mesmo diante de Deus. Feliz é aquele que não se julga naquilo que aprova.
23 And he that doubteth is condemned if he eateth, because he eateth not from faith: for whatever is not from faith is sin.
Mas aquele que duvida é condenado se come, porque não é de fé; e o que não é de fé é pecado.
