< Romans 14 >

1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, but not to doubtful disputations.
Ammanon daaburida oonakka shiishi ekkiteppe attin iya qofaa bolla pirddofite.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak, eateth herbs.
Leemisos, ammanon minnida issi asi ay kathika maanaw dandda7ees. Shin ammanon daaburiya asi atakiltte xalaala mees.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him who eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
Ubbabaa miya asi moonna uraa kadhoppo. Ubbabaa moonna asi miya uraa bolla pirddofo. Xoossay ubbaa miya uraa shiishi ekkis.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. And, he shall be held up: for God is able to make him stand.
Hara asa aylle bolla pirddey neeni oonee? I daaburin woykko minnin ba Godaassa. Goday iya essanaw dandda7iya gisho I minnidi eqqana.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
Qassi “Issi gallasay hara gallasappe aadhdhees” yaagidi qoppiya asi de7ees. Haray qassi, “Gallasati ubbay issi mela” gidi qoppees. Shin issoy issoy ba qofaa akeekidi qachcho.
6 He that regardeth the day, regardeth it to the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.
Issi gallasaa hara gallasatappe aathidi bonchchiya oonikka Godaa bonchchoos gidi oothees. Ubba kathi miya asi Godaa bonchchoos gidi mees. I miya he kathaa gisho, Xoossaa galatees. Ubba kathi moonna asi Godaa bonchchoos moonna aggees; qassi moonna agon Xoossaa galatees.
7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.
Nuuppe oonikka baw deenna; qassi nu giddofe oonikka baw hayqqenna.
8 For whether we live, we live to the Lord; and whether we die, we die to the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.
Nu de7on de7ikko Godaas de7oos; qassi hayqqikokka Godaas hayqqoos. Hiza, nu de7on de7in woykko hayqqin Godaassa.
9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and the living.
Kiristtoosi hayqqidi hayqoppe denddiday, de7on de7eyssatasinne hayqqidayssatas Goda gidanaassa.
10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou show contempt for thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.
Yaatin, neeni ne ishaa bolla ays pirdday? Woykko neeni ne ishaa ays kadhay? Nuuni ubbay Xoossaa pirdda araata sinthan eqqana.
11 For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
Geeshsha Maxaafan Goday, “Taani de7on de7ays; asa ubbay ta sinthan gulbbatana; taani Xoossaa gideyssa markkattana” yaagees.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
Hiza, nu oothidabaas nu huu7en huu7en Xoossaa sinthan shiiqidi zaaro immana.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather, that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in his brother’s way.
Hessa gisho, nuuni issoy issuwa bolla pirddeyssa aggoos. Shin hintte ishaa dhubsidi woykko qaxxidi nagaran gelssiyaba oothonnaada naagettite.
14 I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean by itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
Godaa Yesuusa ammaniyaa asada, ba huu7en tuna gidida kathi baynnayssa taani geeshshada erays. Shin issi asi issibaa tuna gidi qoppiko hessi iyaw tuna gidees.
15 But if thy brother is grieved with thy food, now walkest thou not in love. Destroy not him with thy food, for whom Christ died.
Ne miya katha gisho ne ishaa dhubbiyabaa gidikko, Kiristtoosan de7iya ne ishaa siiqakka. Kiristtoosi iya gisho hayqqida uraa ne miya kathan iya ayyaana de7uwa dhaysssofa.
16 Let not then your good be evil spoken of:
Hiza, hinttew de7iya la77atethaa harati borana mela oothofite.
17 For the kingdom of God is not food and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Spirit.
Xoossaa kawotethay Geeshsha Ayyaanay immiya xillotethaa, sarotethaanne tuma ufayssife attin muussabaanne ushshubaa gidenna.
18 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved by men.
Hessada Kiristtoosas oothiya asi Xoossaa ufayssees; asankka anjjettees.
19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things which one may edify another.
Hessa gisho, ane nuuni sarotethi benttiya ogiyanne issuwa issuwa ammanon minthiya ogiya koyoos.
20 For the sake of food destroy not the work of God. All things indeed are pure; but it is evil for that man who eateth with offence.
Katha gisho gada Xoossaa oosuwa dhaysssofa. Ubba kathi meetetees, shin hara asi nagaran dhubsiya kathi muussi iita.
21 It is good neither to eat flesh, nor to drink wine, nor any thing by which thy brother stumbleth, or is offended, or is made weak.
Ne ishay dhubettonna mela asho moonna woykko ushshu uyonna woykko ne ishaa dhubbiya harabaa oothonna agoy lo77o.
22 Hast thou faith? have it to thyself before God. Happy is he that condemneth not himself in what he approveth.
Hiza, ha ne ammanuwa ne giddoninne ne Xoossaa giddon naaga. Likke gidi qoppidabaa oothiya wode iya kahay mootonna uray anjjettidayssa.
23 And he that doubteth is condemned if he eateth, because he eateth not from faith: for whatever is not from faith is sin.
Shin sidhishe miya uraas iya muussay ammanon gidonna gisho pirddettees. Ammanoy baynna oosettida ooso ubbay nagara.
