Psalms 81
1 To the chief Musician upon Gittith, A Psalm of Asaph. Sing aloud to God our strength: make a joyful noise to the God of Jacob.
১প্রধান বাদ্যকরের জন্য। স্বর, গিত্তীৎ। আসফের একটি গীত। ঈশ্বর আমাদের শক্তি তাঁর উদ্দেশ্যে আনন্দ ধ্বনি কর, যাকোবের ঈশ্বরের উদ্দেশ্যে জয়ধ্বনি কর।
2 Take a psalm, and strike the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery.
২গান গাও, ডম্ফ বাজাও, নেবল সাথে মনোহর বীণা বাজাও।
3 Blow the trumpet in the new moon, in the time appointed, on our solemn feast day.
৩বাজাও তুরী অমাবস্যায়, বাজাও পূর্ণিমায়, আমাদের উৎসবের দিনের।
4 For this was a statute for Israel, and a law of the God of Jacob.
৪কারণ তা ইস্রায়েলের নিয়ম, যাকোবের ঈশ্বরের শাসন।
5 This he ordained in Joseph for a testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard a language that I understood not.
৫তিনি যাকোবের মধ্যে এই সাক্ষ্য স্থাপন করলেন, যখন তিনি মিশর দেশের বিরুদ্ধে বার হন; আমি এক বাণী শুনলাম, যা জানতাম না।
6 I removed his shoulder from the burden: his hands were delivered from the pots.
৬আমি ওর ঘাড়কে ভারযুক্ত করলাম, তার হাত ঝুড়ি থেকে ছাড়া পেল।
7 Thou didst call in trouble, and I delivered thee; I answered thee in the secret place of thunder: I proved thee at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)
৭তুমি বিপদে ডাকলে আমি তোমাকে উদ্ধার করলাম; আমি মেঘ-গর্জনের আড়ালে তোমাকে উত্তর দিলাম, মরীবার জলের কাছে তোমার পরীক্ষা করলাম।
8 Hear, O my people, and I will testify to thee: O Israel, if thou wilt hearken to me;
৮হে আমার প্রজারা, শোন, আমি তোমার কাছে সাক্ষ্য দেব; হে ইস্রায়েল তুমি যদি আমার কথা শোন।
9 There shall no strange god be in thee; neither shalt thou worship any strange god.
৯তোমার মধ্যে অন্য জাতির কোনো দেবতা থাকবে না, তুমি কোনো অন্য জাতির দেবতার আরাধনা করবে না।
10 I am the LORD thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt: open thy mouth wide, and I will fill it.
১০আমি সদাপ্রভুু, তোমার ঈশ্বর, আমি তোমাকে মিশর দেশ থেকে উঠিয়ে এনেছি, তোমরা মুখ বড় করে খোল, আমি তা পূর্ণ করব।
11 But my people would not hearken to my voice; and Israel would not obey me.
১১কিন্তু আমার প্রজারা আমার রব শুনল না, ইস্রায়েল আমার বাধ্য হল না।
12 So I gave them up to their own hearts’ lust: and they walked in their own counsels.
১২তাই আমি তাদেরকে তাদের একগুঁয়ে পথে ছেড়ে দিলাম; তারা নিজেদের মন্ত্রণায় চলল।
13 O that my people had hearkened to me, and Israel had walked in my ways!
১৩আহা, যদি আমার প্রজাগণ আমার কথা শুনত, যদি ইস্রায়েল আমার পথে চলত।
14 I should soon have subdued their enemies, and turned my hand against their adversaries.
১৪তা হলে আমি তার শত্রুদেরকে তাড়াতাড়ি দমন করতাম, তাদের বিপক্ষদের প্রতিকূলে আমার হাত ফেরাব।
15 The haters of the LORD should have submitted themselves to him: and their time should have endured for ever.
১৫সদাপ্রভুুর ঘৃণাকারীরা তাঁর কর্তৃত্ব স্বীকার করবে, কিন্তু এদের শাস্তির দিন চিরকাল থাকবে।
16 He should have fed them also with the finest of the wheat: and with honey out of the rock I should have satisfied thee.
১৬তিনি এদেরকে উত্কৃষ্টমানের গম খাওয়াবেন। আমি পাথরের মধু দিয়ে তোমাকে তৃপ্ত করব।
