Psalms 68
1 To the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David. Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.
聖歌隊の指揮者によってうたわせたダビデの歌、さんび 神よ、立ちあがって、その敵を散らし、神を憎む者をみ前から逃げ去らせてください。
2 As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.
煙の追いやられるように彼らを追いやり、ろうの火の前に溶けるように悪しき者を神の前に滅ぼしてください。
3 But let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.
しかし正しい者を喜ばせ、神の前に喜び踊らせ、喜び楽しませてください。
4 Sing to God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.
神にむかって歌え、そのみ名をほめうたえ。雲に乗られる者にむかって歌声をあげよ。その名は主、そのみ前に喜び踊れ。
5 A father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.
その聖なるすまいにおられる神はみなしごの父、やもめの保護者である。
6 God setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those who are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
神は寄るべなき者に住むべき家を与え、めしゅうどを解いて幸福に導かれる。しかしそむく者はかわいた地に住む。
7 O God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; (Selah)
神よ、あなたが民に先だち出て、荒野を進み行かれたとき、 (セラ)
8 The earth shook, the heavens also rained at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.
シナイの主なる神の前に、イスラエルの神なる神の前に、地は震い、天は雨を降らせました。
9 Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, by which thou didst confirm thy inheritance, when it was weary.
神よ、あなたは豊かな雨を降らせて、疲れ衰えたあなたの嗣業の地を回復され、
10 Thy congregation hath dwelt in it: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.
あなたの群れは、そのうちにすまいを得ました。神よ、あなたは恵みをもって貧しい者のために備えられました。
11 The Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that proclaimed it.
主は命令を下される。おとずれを携えた女たちの大いなる群れは言う、
12 Kings of armies fled apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.
「もろもろの軍勢の王たちは逃げ去り、逃げ去った」と。家にとどまる女たちは獲物を分ける、
13 Though ye lie among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.
たとい彼らは羊のおりの中にとどまるとも。はとの翼は、しろがねをもっておおわれ、その羽はきらめくこがねをもっておおわれる。
14 When the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.
全能者がかしこで王たちを散らされたとき、ザルモンに雪が降った。
15 The hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.
神の山、バシャンの山、峰かさなる山、バシャンの山よ。
16 Why leap ye, ye lofty hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.
峰かさなるもろもろの山よ、何ゆえ神がすまいにと望まれた山をねたみ見るのか。まことに主はとこしえにそこに住まわれる。
17 The chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.
主は神のいくさ車幾千万をもって、シナイから聖所に来られた。
18 Thou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.
あなたはとりこを率い、人々のうちから、またそむく者のうちから贈り物をうけて、高い山に登られた。主なる神がそこに住まわれるためである。
19 Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. (Selah)
日々にわれらの荷を負われる主はほむべきかな。神はわれらの救である。 (セラ)
20 He that is our God is the God of salvation; and to GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.
われらの神は救の神である。死からのがれ得るのは主なる神による。
21 But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such one as goeth on still in his trespasses.
神はその敵のこうべを打ち砕き、おのがとがの中に歩む者の毛深い頭のいただきを打ち砕かれる。
22 The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:
主は言われた、「わたしはバシャンから彼らを携え帰り、海の深い所から彼らを携え帰る。
23 That thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thy enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.
あなたはその足を彼らの血に浸し、あなたの犬の舌はその分け前を敵から得るであろう」と。
24 They have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.
神よ、人々はあなたのこうごうしい行列を見た。わが神、わが王の、聖所に進み行かれるのを見た。
25 The singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.
歌う者は前に行き、琴をひく者はあとになり、おとめらはその間にあって手鼓を打って言う、
26 Bless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.
「大いなる集会で神をほめよ。イスラエルの源から出た者よ、主をほめまつれ」と。
27 There is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their counsel, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.
そこに彼らを導く年若いベニヤミンがおり、その群れの中にユダの君たちがおり、ゼブルンの君たち、ナフタリの君たちがいる。
28 Thy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.
神よ、あなたの大能を奮い起してください。われらのために事をなされた神よ、あなたの力をお示しください。
29 Because of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents to thee.
エルサレムにあるあなたの宮のために、王たちはあなたに贈り物をささげるでしょう。
30 Rebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one shall submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.
葦の中に住む獣、もろもろの民の子牛を率いる雄牛の群れをいましめてください。みつぎ物をむさぼる者たちを足の下に踏みつけ、戦いを好むもろもろの民を散らしてください。
31 Princes shall come out of Egypt; Cush shall soon stretch out her hands to God.
青銅をエジプトから持ちきたらせ、エチオピヤには急いでその手を神に伸べさせてください。
32 Sing to God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises to the Lord; (Selah)
地のもろもろの国よ、神にむかって歌え、主をほめうたえ。 (セラ)
33 To him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.
いにしえからの天の天に乗られる主にむかってほめうたえ。見よ、主はみ声を出し、力あるみ声を出される。
34 Ascribe ye strength to God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.
力を神に帰せよ。その威光はイスラエルの上にあり、その力は雲の中にある。
35 O God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power to his people. Blessed be God.
神はその聖所で恐るべく、イスラエルの神はその民に力と勢いとを与えられる。神はほむべきかな。
