Psalms 26

1 A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.

Dávidtól. Szerezz jogot nekem, Örökkévaló, mert én gáncstalanságomban jártam és az Örökkévalóban bíztam, nem ingok meg.

2 Examine me, O LORD, and test me; try my reins and my heart.

Vizsgálj engem, Örökkévaló, és kísérts meg, próbáld ki veséimet és szívemet.

3 For thy lovingkindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.

Mert szereteted szemeim előtt van és járok a te igazságodban.

4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with hypocrites.

Nem ültem hamisság embereivel és alattomosokhoz nem mentem be.

5 I have hated the congregation of evildoers; and will not sit with the wicked.

Gyűlölöm a gonosztevők gyülekezetét és gonoszokkal nem ülök.

6 I will wash my hands in innocency: so will I go about thy altar, O LORD:

Tisztaságban mosom kezeimet, hogy körüljárhassam oltárodat, Örökkévaló,

7 That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.

hogy hallassam a hála hangját és hogy elbeszéljem mind a csodatotteidet

8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honour dwelleth.

Örökkévaló, szeretem házad hajlékát és dicsőséged lakásának helyét.

9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:

Ne vedd el vétkesekkel lelkemet és a vérontás embereivel éltemet,

10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.

a kiknek kezeiben gazság van és jobbjuk telve megvesztegetéssel!

11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.

De én gáncstalanságomban járok: válts meg és kegyelmezz nekem.

12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.

Lábam egyenes helyen áll; gyülekezetekben áldom az Örökkévalót.
