Psalms 26
1 A Psalm of David. Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity: I have trusted also in the LORD; therefore I shall not slide.
[Von David.] Richte mich, [d. h. Urteile über mich] Jehova! denn in meiner Lauterkeit habe ich gewandelt; und auf Jehova habe ich vertraut, ich werde nicht wanken.
2 Examine me, O LORD, and test me; try my reins and my heart.
Prüfe mich, Jehova, und erprobe mich; läutere meine Nieren und mein Herz!
3 For thy lovingkindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in thy truth.
Denn deine Güte ist vor meinen Augen, und in deiner Wahrheit wandle ich.
4 I have not sat with vain persons, neither will I go in with hypocrites.
Nicht habe ich gesessen bei falschen Leuten, und mit Hinterlistigen ging ich nicht um.
5 I have hated the congregation of evildoers; and will not sit with the wicked.
Ich habe die Versammlung der Übeltäter gehaßt, und bei Gesetzlosen saß ich nicht.
6 I will wash my hands in innocency: so will I go about thy altar, O LORD:
Ich wasche in Unschuld meine Hände, und umgehe [O. will [möchte] umgehen] deinen Altar, Jehova,
7 That I may proclaim with the voice of thanksgiving, and tell of all thy wondrous works.
Um hören zu lassen die Stimme des Lobes, [O. Dankes] und um zu erzählen alle deine Wundertaten.
8 LORD, I have loved the habitation of thy house, and the place where thy honour dwelleth.
Jehova, ich habe geliebt die Wohnung deines Hauses und den Wohnort deiner Herrlichkeit.
9 Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:
Raffe meine Seele nicht weg mit [O. Sammle nicht zu] Sündern, noch mein Leben mit Blutmenschen,
10 In whose hands is mischief, and their right hand is full of bribes.
In deren Händen böses Vornehmen, [O. Schandtat] und deren Rechte voll Bestechung ist!
11 But as for me, I will walk in my integrity: redeem me, and be merciful to me.
Ich aber wandle [O. werde wandeln] in meiner Lauterkeit. Erlöse mich und sei mir gnädig!
12 My foot standeth in an even place: in the congregations will I bless the LORD.
Mein Fuß steht auf ebenem Boden: Jehova werde ich preisen in den Versammlungen.
