Psalms 23

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

परमप्रभु मेरो गोठाला हुनुहुन्छ । मलाई कुनै कुरा खाँचो पर्नेछैन ।

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

उहाँले मलाई हरियो खर्कहरूमा सुताउनुहुन्छ । उहाँले मलाई शान्‍त पानीको छेउमा डोर्‍याउनुहुन्छ ।

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

उहाँले मेरो जीवनलाई पुनर्जीवित पार्नुहुन्छ । उहाँले आफ्‍नो नाउँको खातिर मलाई ठिक बाटो देखाउनुहुन्छ ।

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

मैले निस्‍पट्ट अँध्‍यारो छायाको बेसीमा हिंड्‍नुपर्दा पनि, हानिसँग म डराउनेछैन किनभने तपाईं मसँग हुनुहुन्छ । तपाईंको लट्ठी र तपाईंको लौरोले मलाई सान्त्वना दिन्छन् ।

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

मेरा शत्रुहरूका सामु तपाईंले मेरो निम्ति भोज तयार पार्नुहुन्छ । तपाईंले मेरो शिरलाई तेलले अभिषेक गर्नुभएको छ । मेरो कचौरा भरिएर पोखिन्छ ।

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

निश्‍चय नै, मेरो जीवनका सारा दिन भलाइ र करारको विश्‍वस्‍तता मेरो पछि आउनेछ । र परमप्रभुको मन्‍दिरमा म सधैंभरि वास गर्नेछु ।
