Psalms 23

1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.

૧દાઉદનું ગીત. યહોવાહ મારા પાળક છે; તેથી મને કશી ખોટ પડશે નહિ.

2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

૨તે મને લીલાં ઘાસમાં સુવાડે છે તે મને શાંત પાણીની પાસે દોરી જાય છે.

3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

૩તે મારા આત્માને તાજગી આપે છે; પોતાના નામની ખાતર તે મને ન્યાયીપણાને માર્ગે ચલાવે છે.

4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

૪જો કે હું મૃત્યુની છાયાની ખીણમાં ચાલું, તોય હું કંઈપણ દુષ્ટતાથી બીશ નહિ, કેમ કે તમે મારી સાથે છો; તમારી લાકડી તથા તમારી છડી મને દિલાસો આપે છે.

5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

૫તમે મારા દુશ્મનોની સામે મારે માટે ભોજન પીરસો છો તમે મારા માથા પર તેલ રેડ્યું છે; મારો પ્યાલો છલકાઈ જાય છે.

6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.

૬નિશ્ચે મારી જિંદગીના સર્વ દિવસો દરમ્યાન ભલાઈ તથા દયા મારી સાથે આવશે; અને હું સદા સર્વકાળ સુધી યહોવાહના ઘરમાં રહીશ.
