Psalms 22

1 To the chief Musician upon Aijeleth Shahar, A Psalm of David. My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? why art thou so far from helping me, and from the words of my roaring?

Al maestro de coro. Por el pronto socorro. Salmo de David. Dios mío, Dios mío, ¿por qué me has abandonado? Los gritos de mis pecados alejan de mí el socorro.

2 O my God, I cry in the daytime, but thou hearest not; and in the night season, and am not silent.

Dios mío, clamo de día, y no respondes; de noche también, y no te cuidas de mí.

3 But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.

Y Tú, sin embargo, estás en tu santa morada, ¡oh gloria de Israel!

4 Our fathers trusted in thee: they trusted, and thou didst deliver them.

En Ti esperaron nuestros padres; esperaron, y los libraste.

5 They cried to thee, and were delivered: they trusted in thee, and were not confounded.

A Ti clamaron, y fueron salvados; en Ti confiaron, y no quedaron confundidos.

6 But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.

Pero es que yo soy gusano, y no hombre, oprobio de los hombres y desecho de la plebe.

7 All they that see me mock me: they shoot out the lip, they shake the head, saying,

Cuantos me ven se mofan de mí, tuercen los labios y menean la cabeza:

8 He trusted on the LORD that he would deliver him: let him deliver him, seeing he delighted in him.

“Confió en Yahvé: que Él lo salve; líbrelo, ya que en Él se complace.”

9 But thou art he that brought me out of the womb: thou didst make me hope when I was upon my mother’s breasts.

Sí, Tú eres mi sostén desde el seno materno, mi refugio desde los pechos de mi madre.

10 I was cast upon thee from my birth: thou art my God from my mother’s womb.

A Ti fui entregado desde mi nacimiento; desde el vientre de mi madre Tú eres mi Dios.

11 Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help.

No estés lejos de mí, porque la tribulación está cerca, porque no hay quien socorra.

12 Many bulls have surrounded me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me all round.

Me veo rodeado de muchos toros; los fuertes de Basan me cercan;

13 They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

abren contra mí sus bocas, cual león rapaz y rugiente.

14 I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted within me.

Soy como agua derramada, todos mis huesos se han descoyuntado; mi corazón, como cera, se diluye en mis entrañas.

15 My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death.

Mi garganta se ha secado como una teja; mi lengua se pega a mi paladar, me has reducido al polvo de la muerte.

16 For dogs have surrounded me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Porque me han rodeado muchos perros; una caterva de malvados me encierra; han perforado mis manos y mis pies;

17 I may number all my bones: they look and stare upon me.

puedo contar todos mis huesos. Entretanto, ellos miran, y al verme se alegran.

18 They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture.

Se reparten mis vestidos, y sobre mi túnica echan suertes.

19 But be not thou far from me, O LORD: O my strength, haste thee to help me.

Mas Tú, Yahvé, no estés lejos de mí; sostén mío, apresúrate a socorrerme.

20 Deliver my soul from the sword; my darling from the power of the dog.

Libra mi alma de la espada, mi vida del poder del perro.

21 Save me from the lion’s mouth: for thou hast heard me from the horns of the unicorns.

Sálvame de la boca del león; de entre las astas de los bisontes escúchame.

22 I will declare thy name to my brethren: in the midst of the congregation will I praise thee.

Anunciaré tu Nombre a mis hermanos, y proclamaré tu alabanza en medio de la asamblea.

23 Ye that fear the LORD, praise him; all ye the seed of Jacob, glorify him; and fear him, all ye the seed of Israel.

Los que teméis a Yahvé alabadle, glorificadle, vosotros todos, linaje de Israel.

24 For he hath not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted; neither hath he hid his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.

Pues no despreció ni desatendió la miseria del miserable; no escondió de él su rostro, y cuando imploró su auxilio, le escuchó.

25 My praise shall be of thee in the great congregation: I will pay my vows before them that fear him.

Para Ti será mi alabanza en la gran asamblea, cumpliré mis votos en presencia de los que te temen.

26 The meek shall eat and be satisfied: they shall praise the LORD that seek him: your heart shall live for ever.

Los pobres comerán y se hartarán, alabarán a Yahvé los que le buscan. Sus corazones vivirán para siempre.

27 All the ends of the world shall remember and turn to the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.

Recordándolo, volverán a Yahvé todos los confines de la tierra; y todas las naciones de los gentiles se postrarán ante su faz.

28 For the kingdom is the LORD’S: and he is the governor among the nations.

Porque de Yahvé es el reino, y Él mismo gobernará a las naciones.

29 All the prosperous of the earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.

A Él solo adorarán todos los que duermen bajo la tierra; ante Él se encorvará todo el que desciende al polvo, y no tiene ya vida en sí.

30 A seed shall serve him; it shall be accounted to the Lord for a generation.

Mi descendencia le servirá a Él y hablará de Yahvé a la edad venidera.

31 They shall come, and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, that he hath done this.

Anunciará su justicia a un pueblo que ha de nacer: “Estas cosas ha hecho Yahvé.”
