Psalms 102
1 A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed, and poureth out his complaint before the LORD. Hear my prayer, O LORD, and let my cry come to thee.
Imádság, egy szegény számára, midőn ellankad és az Örökkévaló előtt kiönti panaszát. Örökkévaló, halljad imámat, s fohászkodásom jusson hozzád!
2 Hide not thy face from me in the day when I am in trouble; incline thy ear to me: in the day when I call answer me speedily.
Ne rejtsd el arczodat tőlem szorultságom napján; hajlítsd hozzám füledet, amely napon felkiáltok, gyorsan hallgass meg!
3 For my days are consumed like smoke, and my bones are burned as an hearth.
Mert füstben enyésztek el napjaim, és csontjaim átizzottak mint égéstől.
4 My heart is smitten, and withered like grass; so that I forget to eat my bread.
Megveretett, mint a fű, úgy hogy elszáradt a szívem; bizony, elfeledtem megenni kenyeremet.
5 By reason of the voice of my groaning my bones cleave to my skin.
Nyögésem hangjától odatapadt csontom húsomhoz.
6 I am like a pelican of the wilderness: I am like an owl of the desert.
Hasonlítok a puszta pelikánjához, olyan lettem, mint kuvik a romokban.
7 I watch, and am as a sparrow alone upon the housetop.
Virrasztottam s olyan lettem, mint magános madár a háztetőn.
8 My enemies reproach me all the day; and they that are mad against me are sworn against me.
Egész nap gyaláztak ellenségeim; az ellenem tombolók reám esküdtek.
9 For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping,
Mert hamut kenyér gyanánt ettem, s italomat sírással elegyítettem:
10 Because of thy indignation and thy wrath: for thou hast lifted me up, and cast me down.
indulatod és haragod miatt, mert felkaptál és elhajítottál.
11 My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.
Napjaim akár a megnyúlt árnyék, és én elszáradok, mint a fű,
12 But thou, O LORD, shalt endure for ever; and thy remembrance to all generations.
De te, Örökkévaló, örökké trónolsz, s neved nemzedékig meg nemzedékig tart.
13 Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.
Te majd felkelsz, irgalmazol Cziónnak, mert ideje, hogy kegyelmezz neki, mert eljött a határidő;
14 For thy servants take pleasure in her stones, and favour her dust.
mert szolgáid kedvelik a köveit és porát kegyelik.
15 So the heathen shall fear the name of the LORD, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.
S majd félik a nemzetek az Örökkévaló nevét, s mind a föld királyai dicsőségedet;
16 When the LORD shall build up Zion, he shall appear in his glory.
mert megépítette az Örökkévaló Cziónt, megjelent az ő dicsőségében.
17 He will regard the prayer of the destitute, and not despise their prayer.
Odafordult a hontalanok imájához, s nem vetette meg imádságukat.
18 This shall be written for the generation to come: and the people which shall be created shall praise the LORD.
Fölíratik ez az utóbbi nemzedék számára, s a megteremtendő nép majd dícséri Jáht:
19 For he hath looked down from the height of his sanctuary; from heaven hath the LORD beheld the earth;
hogy letekintett szent magasságából, az Örökkévaló az égből a földre nézett,
20 To hear the groaning of the prisoner; to loose those that are appointed to death;
hogy meghallgassa a fogolynak jajgatását, hogy megoldozza a halál fiait;
21 To declare the name of the LORD in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;
hogy hirdessék Cziónban az Örökkévaló nevét és dícséretét Jeruzsálemben,
22 When the people are gathered together, and the kingdoms, to serve the LORD.
mikor népek gyűlnek együvé és királyságok, hogy szolgálják az Örökkévalót.
23 He weakened my strength in the way; he shortened my days.
Megsanyargatta az úton erőmet, megrövidítette napjaimat.
24 I said, O my God, take me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are throughout all generations.
Azt mondom: Istenem, el ne ragadj napjaim felében, nemzedéken meg nemzedékeken át a te éveid!
25 Of old hast thou laid the foundation of the earth: and the heavens are the work of thy hands.
Hajdanában alapítottad a földet s kezeid műve az ég;
26 They shall perish, but thou shalt endure: yea, all of them shall grow old like a garment; as a vesture shalt thou change them, and they shall be changed:
ők elvesznek, de te megállasz, s mindannyian mint a ruha elkopnak: mint az öltözetet váltod őket, s ők elváltoznak.
27 But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end.
De te ugyanaz vagy, és éveidnek nincsen vége.
28 The children of thy servants shall continue, and their seed shall be established before thee.
Szolgáid fiai lakni fognak s magzatjuk megszilárdul előtted.
